Luna And The Dire Wolf's

Luna And The Dire Wolf's
Chapter 54. Post Ritual

Smoke is still rising high in the sky of La Eterno forest. The horizon line began to look bright, a sign of dawn. Valko was still sitting limp in front of the offering table.

The handsome man stared at the ash from the burning sandalwood mixed with the ash from Luna's body. The man's tears had dried up. His gaze was blank, having lost the figure of the woman he loved so much.

"Val, you haven't slept all night. Rest" said Alarick, bringing the man's coat.

"Dad, is it true that humans don't only experience one life?"

"If the Creator gives us a chance, then the second life in this world could have happened." Alarick stared at the rest of the ritual burnings last night.

"Luna left this for you." Valko's father handed the paper to the son.

In addition, he also handed her a box tied with a pink ribbon. Valko received the letter with trembling hands. The handsome man began to unfold the folds of paper, and read in his heart, every sentence written there.

...----------------

...

To my beloved Valko,

It was sad to have to write word for word on this piece of paper. My last dream when we were on Arcoris hill came true. In the dream, it turns out that it is not the white wolf used for offerings.

The sky and forest of La Eterno asked me to join in guarding this forest along with the other guardian spirits. Val, it's not your fault. All things happen by the will of the Creator.

Thank you for giving me such a precious story in my entire life. I was born lonely, but died in a state that arguably had many friends. I think there will be a lot of tears because I feel like I'm losing myself. Hehe.

Sorry for not saying everything from the beginning. The dream came too suddenly. When everything needed for the ritual is gathered. I don't want our sacrifices to be in vain.

Lots of blood, sweat, and tears are poured for the sake of the implementation of this ritual. Hope you're happy with your new life, Val.

Oh yes, I ask you one thing. Please collect my paintings to Professor Abraham. Express my regret for disappointing him, as well as express my gratitude because he was willing to help me during my university education.

I hope we can meet again on another occasion. Val, I love you so much. Although my body is no longer by your side, is not my heart and love always with you?

From your love girl, Luna.

...----------------

...

A sense of tightness now filled Valko's chest. His cry was stifled, further squeezing the sanitary napkins. Valko repeatedly hit the chest, hoping that the burden of sadness that lay there would come out.

"Luna! My beloved hadith! When can we meet again!" Valko continued to sob, but her tears this time did not want to flow anymore.

Sadness crept into Alarick's heart. He repeatedly rubbed the flowing tears that drenched his cheeks. Trying to strengthen the heart to strengthen another heart that is suddenly fragile.

A few days later ....

Valko drives Jacob's car through the streets of Flor City. He wanted to deliver the work that Luna did and leave it to Abraham. When he arrived at the university, he went straight to the room of the Head of the Faculty of Arts.

"Lake in!" abraham as Valko knocked on the door.

"I'm here for ...." Valko's words stopped because Abraham cut him off.

"I know everything."

"Yes?"

Abraham got up from the couch and walked to the window. His eyes stared at the vast sky while folding his arms in front of his chest.

"I purposely asked him to paint all that."

"I suspected! What do you mean, you did all this!" valko shouted as he kicked the table.

"I am the incarnation of Zeus. I am in control of what happens in the sky. And I'm the father of Luna."

Hearing the words of Abraham increasingly makes Valko ride apitam. He went straight to Abraham and grabbed hold of the man's shirt collar. No wonder the two look at each other.

Valko looked at Abraham with a vicious look of hatred, while Abraham was the opposite. He stared flatly at his daughter's lover. Valko's jaw hardened instantly. He was eager to shower this man in front of him with a punch.

However, Valko again remembered Luna's message. He had to hold back his emotions in order not to hurt others. Valko finally muffled his emotions by exhaling a rough breath, hoping that his anger would come from the heart.

"I know Luna's parents are dead." Valko took Abraham's shirt collar off roughly.

"I never die. Luna and I had an accident on the way to the hospital. I survived, because indeed I had more power than his mother who was just an ordinary human."

"Then what exactly is the purpose of you continuing to hide and in the end giving this task to Luna before the ritual? Why don't you prevent the ritual from happening? If only you had prevented it, surely now Luna is still alive!" cecar Valko was full of anger.

"I never hide from anyone. It's just that I never revealed myself." Abraham smiled briefly, then again threw a glance out the window.

"Regarding the painting, it was actually a request from the Lord of Life. He wanted to capture your stifling story in a painting, and Luna's hand was chosen to capture this moment."

"I really don't understand your thoughts of the Gods!"

"Go back, you will find another Luna figure. It seems the Creator granted my daughter's last prayer before she was consumed by the fire."

Valko looked at Abraham's annoyance before finally leaving the room with a feeling of annoyance. He got out of there, then slammed the door rough. He brought his disappointment home.

Arriving at home, Valko dismantled the box that was still hidden in the corner of the room. His heart hesitated a little when it came to pulling the pink ribbon. Finally out of curiosity, Valko opened the box.

Inside it turned out to contain a sketchbook as well as a bracelet that Valko had given to Luna. The handsome man smiled bitterly. He opened the book sheet by sheet.

"Basic" said Valko Lirih, smiling wryly.

The sketchbook was filled with his face. Luna always drew the handsome man's face every time she met. Every sketch that was there kept the story of the beginning of the meeting until the last night when Luna painted the offering table.

Tears were again broken, out of the eye of Valko. His chest felt tight again. The man's throat seemed to be squeezed by a large stone so that his sobs were restrained. After he finished reminiscing about his love trip with Luna, Valko again closed the sketchbook.

"Luna and the Dire Wolf." Valko spelled out a beautiful letter on the cover of the book. Valko hugged the book, to treat his longing for the book's owner.
