Chapter 23 Confusion

Many people arrived at the capital square. They want to see the execution of the witch-killer who hastened the kingdom. Suspect of witch murder tied to a pole. No regrets on his face. The king himself became its executor. The King's horror was felt by the people around him.

The king whispered to the murderer. The killer laughed fearlessly. He shouted, "I don't have the last words." The fire immediately grabbed the body of the assassin. The flames were getting higher, the heat reaching the audience. Everyone was shouting curses at the killer. 

I was silent to see the scene before my eyes. The others can be calm, but not with me. The reason the man who killed me is repeating time is unknown to me. The kingdom can be in danger if the person does as he pleases. 

If my killer messes with the kingdom then it's my responsibility to arrest him. I don't know when he started moving. I will definitely defeat him.

Keith held my hand tightly. I looked towards him trying to smile. The most important thing is to go through the day and achieve my main goal.

After the execution was over, Keith and I were invited to the palace. Eric gave us his award.

"This is my form of appreciation to those of you who have captured the murderer." That badge Eric put on our witch robes. We accepted the badge. 

This achievement will make me more respected among the nobility. Even though I'm young, I won't be underestimated like Trevor. Everything did not escape Keith's intervention. 

It tickles my conscience. I wanted to hurt her but she always helped me. At first glance there was doubt in my heart to take revenge on him. However, still what he did in my previous life I cannot forgive him. My revenge must go on.

Now that Keith and I were in his house, Iris had questions about the murder.

"Who's the killer?"

"Who are the victims?"

"How did you catch him?"

"Where's your badge from?"

Keith answered his sister's questions one by one as I helped. He seemed overwhelmed to respond to his sister. Iris nodded while listening to our story.

"You guys are so cool. If only I could fight like that too." Iris lowered her head.

I was in the same condition as Iris. Feeling useless in the family. Trevor asked for my magic power, and I did. I wish I would be useful. I'm actually better than him. Just because he's the eldest doesn't mean I have to obey everything.

Keith stroked his sister's head. "You have your own advantages, Iris. Thanks to you I can survive until now."

"Fixed, my abilities are lacking, I can't heal Mom," Iris replied softly.

"You've tried your best Iris. Don't be sad." Keith patted his sister's shoulders.

Iris's sadness began to be replaced with joy. She smiles. 

If I had a brother like Keith, I wouldn't have to feel the pain of losing my senses. I envy them.

"I'm sorry, Diana. The atmosphere is so sad like this, we should have fun because of your achievements." Iris chuckles.

"It's okay, Iris. Do you want to go out and buy something? I'll buy you anything you want.

I also need a friend to look at my clothes. Iris is a great friend.

Keith looked at me shaking his head. "No need, Diana." 

Iris nodded happily. "I want to, Diana."

Keith held his head, sighing heavily. In the end he smiled.

We took a horse-drawn carriage to the capital. With Keith of course. He wanted to protect us if anything happened. Actually, I don't think it's necessary, because I can protect myself and Iris, but Keith keeps pushing. 

Iris tried various dresses. I chose some that were suitable for him. When I was about to pay, Keith asked Iris to pick a dress. Iris did not grumble at all. He felt bad for me and obeyed Keith. In the end Iris only got one dress. 

I tried a few dresses, but it didn't suit my taste. Meanwhile, these sisters asked me to try all the dresses there. They said everything suited me. Can't they judge something well? Why is everything good? How could I possibly buy everything? I think it's wrong to have them accompany me. In the end, I didn't buy anything. 

We headed to the shoe store, accessories store and others. Keith only allowed me to buy one item in every one type of store. I followed Keith's words, because even though I forced Iris to buy something else, she didn't want to. There's nothing I bought at the other store. Everything is not interesting. Today, I'm taking out just for Iris.

We ate at the restaurant. I wrapped up some snacks for them. Keith wanted to pay for our food, but I forbade him. Today he has prevented me a lot, I should have retorted.

When it came to the Skyrise residence, it was already night. It's time I went back to my house. Keith pulled my hand as I got on the horse-drawn carriage to go home.

"It's too late, do you want to spend the night here, Diana?" ask Keith sheepishly.

"Ehem.... ahem... What does Brother want to do?" Iris Goda.

"I'm not gonna do anything. Little boy like you don't think anything." Keith raised his voice. Her ears are red.

I don't think it's a problem to spend the night here. I'm sure Keith wouldn't do anything. 

"I'm not a child. I'm only four years away from Brother and I can actually get married, but Brother always forbids me from dating" Iris grumbled.

That means Iris is two years younger than me. He is 17 years old now. Keith was 21 and I was 19.

"For me you are still like Iris's children, men will be upset at you for your childish attitude" Keith replied with a chuckle.

They even fought alone and forgot about me here. I haven't even answered Keith's question. Kuhela took a long breath. Keith heard me how my breath turned towards me.

"I'm sorry, Diana. So how?" He scratched his back head.

"I think last night was enough. I'll be back in the morning."

Keith smiled brightly. Iris was happy too. Looks like Keith's in love with me. Now there's only way to leave it. I have to finish my business with Trevor first so Derek doesn't bother me.

A servant came out of Keith's house. The waiter ran like he was chasing something, stopping in front of us. Breathing violently. "Master, Miss, Madam is coughing up blood."

Keith and Iris' faces instantly pale. They ran straight to her mother's room. The joy they felt was instantly gone. I followed them from behind.

"Mother!" keith and Iris shouted simultaneously as they entered their mother's room.

Their mother held her mouth that was bleeding. Keith and Iris who were panicking immediately approached him.

If I leave Keith now, it means that the Skyrise family's finances will deteriorate. Keith's mother's death will be quickened. Keith will suffer. What am I supposed to do?
