Chapter 41 Puzzle Pieces

When I need answers to my questions, I always come here. Gauri House. The question kept circling in my head. Gauri will definitely answer this time.

Knock on the door of his house. Before long this respected witch opened the door. He is no stranger to my face. His eyes were still the same as they used to be soft and firm.

"There's something I want to ask" I said before he asked me what I needed here.

"Come in."

We sat facing each other. 

"What do you want to ask?"

"About the magician of time."

I need to make sure who the real time witch is.

"There's nothing I can say about that."

Gauri kept her mouth shut as usual. I won't give up until he opens his mouth.

"The unique magic of time magic is to stop time right?" my word.

Gauri's eyes shook slightly. He was surprised by my words. Of course he's confused as to where I can tell all this. His mouth is still tightly closed.

Silence was between us. Gauri is still digesting my words. He stroked his temple.

Although surprised Gauri remained calm. Of course because this was also his unique magic. 

He sighed. "All right, I believe."

I returned to my seat and continued, "As you've said before, repeating time requires the blood of a time witch and an ordinary witch. If the one who cast the spell was a magician of another time would that magic still work as it should?"

"Of course you can, the other time magicians will not remember his previous life. All he remembered were the witches who sacrificed his blood" Gauri replied calmly.

Turns right. That could explain everything. Derek killed me for needing the witch's blood and I didn't dwell on it at all. After that he came to Gauri forcing him to cast a magic spell repeating time. That's why he forced me to marry him in order to eliminate me at any time.

I don't know what Derek's purpose is to repeat time. Then his relationship with Trevor made me wonder. Does Trevor know everything? Did he work with Derek? I'll ask you when I meet him.

Trevor who did not dare to look at me while drinking blood must have been a mere reason. If drinking it in front of me would definitely not have any effect. He needs to meet Derek to perform the magic transfer ritual.

"Is there another unique magic from a time witch I don't know about?" my many.

"Time is terrible. You should use it as wisely as possible" he recalled.

I'll be back to my residence soon. All my questions have been answered. However, there is one that bothers me. I didn't even know I was a time wizard. I also never said my unique magic to Trevor. How did Derek know?

Eric took me for a walk today. He took me to the capital to refresh my mind. We shouldn't have done this. Derek's still out there. The kingdom is not safe because it knows the future. I didn't want to but Eric forced me.

"You should rest and have fun, Diana. Derek's problem doesn't need to be thought about, let me take care of it."

He said that when he asked me. Maybe he wanted to spend some time with me for not being able to meet a few days ago. 

"Is there a dress you want, Diana?" he asked while looking at me gently.

We were at a clothing store picking out a dress for me. 

"I don't know either" I replied curiously.

"Try one by one there may be a match to your own."

I tried it without passion. Being here reminded me of the time Keith forced me to wear a dress helped with Iris. Both corners of my lips suddenly shot upwards. 

"It looks like you like this one. I'll buy it for you. Is there anything else?" 

My eyes widened and my smile soon faded. "No need for Eric. This is enough."

"All right." Eric paid for it and took me somewhere else.

There were jewels in front of us. Eric picked a necklace that suited me. Then put it on me.

"You look beautiful, Diana," she said, touching my cheek.

"Thank you, Eric." I smiled fakely at him. 

He bought it with a happy heart. I saw another figure from him. Her red hair turned blackish blue. I opened my eyes repeatedly. Now it's back to how it was.

We joined hands at the restaurant. Eric ordered a lot of food for me. He ate while smiling at me. His face turned into the person I hated and loved. 

"Why not eat, Diana?" She's still got my food intact.

"I'll eat it, Eric." I put food in my mouth. Although it tastes good but my appetite is not back at all.

There is still plenty of food left. He wrapped it for me. I clasped the box for her that I had kept from earlier. 

We arrived in front of the horse carriage. I took out the box. Eric raised one of his eyebrows, curious about what I was carrying. I opened the box. Brooch with red gemstone emblazoned there.

"This is for you" I said with a smile.

"Thank you, Diana. I'll definitely wear it." Her lips widened almost reaching her eyes. It's the first time I've seen Eric this happy. I gave it up to pay back the gift at that time, no other purpose.

We got on the horse-drawn carriage. Eric spoke at length during the trip. All of his conversations didn't reach my brain. I just answered as I could.

After reaching my residence he helped me get off the horse carriage. Before parting, he kissed my hand. Their movements are different, but why always look at others? Why is it that even when I'm with other people I think of Keith?

I held Eric's hand. Eric smiled at me, he misunderstood me. I'm not doing this because I don't want to part with him. 

I close my eyes. I played with Eric's feelings, just for my benefit. Despite knowing that I wouldn't love her, I asked her to be by my side using her love for me. I was the same as Keith in my previous life.

"I'm sorry, Eric." I opened my eyes slowly.

"What's Diana for?"

"We'd better deal with this fake engagement."
