Chapter 55 Battle with Derek

The meeting of the head of the family was held again. I think I must be talking about Derek. I heard he showed up somewhere in another kingdom. That's right Keith said.

"I'd like to ask for your help to put everything into capturing Derek Rockyard."

Some heads of families sigh because they have to do the same every day. They're bored, just like me. But Derek's existence will threaten the world.

"Derek Rockyard was found in Kingdom X. The palace witch who tried to catch him has died. I want you to catch him."

The heads of the family whispered to each other. Eric though he looked annoyed, he was not angry. He was aware of the feelings of the heads of the family.

"I know you're tired, but this is all for the sake of the kingdom. Not for the world. The more left to roam free, the more powerful Derek Rockyard will be. I don't want us to be late. So I beg you for help."

Eric bowed. This is the first time I've seen him bow his head. His high self-esteem was forgotten for a moment for the welfare of his kingdom. 

The whole family was stunned to see this. They realize this situation will be under control if they work together. In the end they obeyed the king's orders.

The meeting ended quickly. Some have gone home. So did Keith and I. We have prepared everything. In order not to differ our strength with Derek too far, drinking magic power-boosting potions has become our daily life. I don't know if our strength can match Derek's. I don't know how many witches Derek has absorbed. What I believe is that if you fight with others, the possibility of defeating Derek is greater.

I met someone in a hood. He entered the palace with ease. I stopped my steps and approached him to reveal his identity. I flipped that hood. As soon as I walked away from taking a fighting stance. A grinning crane stood before me. Keith immediately launched an attack on Derek. All attacks are avoidable.

I helped by throwing magic balls. Derek created protective magic. My attack caused smoke to cover Derek. I wish my attack could hurt Derek, but he's still standing with his protector. Eric ran outside looking at the commotion. His eyes widened to see the wanted fugitive coming alone to his palace. Derek grinned at Eric.

"I will replace you as King!" shout Derek.

Derek's magic ball was thrown at Eric. Eric can avoid it, then counterattack. Protector Derek started cracking but he immediately made a fire tornado magic then threw it around. We who were there protected ourselves with protective magic. Derek created the biggest magic ball I've ever seen. The magic ball was able to devour the palace in the blink of an eye. Not only that everyone here will die. I immediately teleported to the back of Derek clutching his hand and then moved to the Rockyard residence. Derek's magic disappeared. He held my hand. "Fuck you, Diana."

I stopped the time and then teleported to the palace again. Keith came to me full of worry. He immediately hugged me tightly. "Don't be rash like that again, Diana. It's not good for my heart."

I chuckled softly while taking off his embrace. Eric approached me with a flat look. There was no more sadness in his eyes. I am thankful that he started letting me go little by little. Otherwise, he must have gotten rid of Keith who was holding me.

"Thank you, Miss Moonlight. You saved lives in this place. Where's Derek Rockyard?" 

"I brought him to the ruins of the Rockyard residence, Your Majesty." 

"How many people can you bring along with your teleportation magic, Miss Moonlight?"

"Three people including myself, Your Majesty. I can only do it twice more."

Eric looked at Keith as if asking for his approval. Keith understood Eric by nodding. Catching Derek is the most urgent thing right now.

"Then take me and Mr. Skyrise there. We're going to arrest Derek" Eric ordered, touching my left shoulder.

Keith held my right shoulder. He snatched it tightly, calmed it down and gave me strength.

"Okay, Your Majesty." I immediately teleported with Eric and Keith back to the Rockyard residence.

No way Derek's seen anywhere. Keith immediately flew over to look over. He circled around and pointed towards the backyard of the Rockyard. "He's at the tomb, Your Grace, Diana."

We rushed there. Keith slid into the tomb first. The Rokcyard residence has its own mausoleum to bury members of the Rockyard family. Derek's father, mother, grandfather, grandmother and lemur were buried there. I don't know the reason Derek went there, which is definitely not to lament the fate of his parents who died when he was a child. 

Keith had arrived at the tomb fighting Derek alone. Eric and I helped Keith with the magic balls. Derek was overwhelmed to face the three of us. His protector that he had made on his fight with Keith began to crack.

Eric immediately ended this by launching a magic ball. The crane slumped up to the sky.

Eric approaches and binds Derek with chain magic to keep him from escaping. "What's your reason for Derek's murder?"

"I just want to be a strong and respected person, Your Majesty. I will be the strongest and become the King." Derek grinned towards Eric.

Eric looked at Derek full of anger and disgust. I am the same, he has sacrificed many people for his own kegois. His madness is out of control. "You're under arrest for the murder of the witch, Derek Rockyard" Eric said, signalling Keith and me to take him. 

We got closer soon, but our steps came to a halt as Derek let out a laugh. I don't know why he can still laugh right now. He really has lost. There can't be any traps around here. I think it was a desperate laugh.

"Please arrest him if you can, Your Majesty." Derek's grin is getting wider.

Thrown body. Keith and Eric, too. My clothes are charred, Derek must have attacked with fire magic. Did Derek just pretend to lose, then wait for the moment to strike back?

However, as soon as I looked at Derek's place my eyes widened. Keith and Eric were speechless. A group of people approached us. They are all witches. More precisely a dead witch. His family. The bodies came back to life against us.
