Chapter 54 The Battle with Stella

Derek's search was more intense than ever. All this thanks to Iris who treated Eric. Cooperation and communication between family heads is also more. However, Derek was still not found. Keith suspects that Derek escaped from the Kingdom. It's getting worse. He could freely absorb the magic belonging to other witches.

Keith talked about this with Eric. Although their conversation was not smooth, but Eric accepted Keith's opinion. The palace witches are sent to several countries adjacent to the Sunborn Kingdom to find out the traces of Derek. The heads of the families continued the investigation in the Kingdom. 

Keith and I are at the border. We scoured the forest, but did not find Derek. I took a long breath. Keith heard.

"Are you tired, Diana?"

"Rather than being tired, I feel annoyed. If Derek leaves a clue or a trace, we can definitely catch him. It's very difficult."

"I understand how you feel, Diana."

We eventually came back without getting anything. On the way home in a horse-drawn carriage, I fell asleep on Keith's shoulder. His shoulders are very comfortable. He also held me tight. 

When I opened my eyes, it was night and Keith was not beside me. The horse carriage stopped in the middle of the forest. I got off the horse carriage while shouting.

"Keith, where are you?"

There's no answer. Where the hell is he? There's no way he's looking for the night-time wind. Did someone attack us? Don't-don't Derek. I immediately ran around looking for Keith but did not meet. 

Pepohohan who was next to me felt the same from earlier. Am I lost? I marked one of the trees with an ice needle. Then, I set foot looking for Keith back. 

But the tree I saw was still visible. It's freaky. Then there was a tree root wriggling in the ground that I walked on. I immediately avoided it. A tree branch was pointing at me trying to stab me. I'm constantly avoiding. Not Derek. The ones attacking me are animal and plant witches.

The witch must not be far from here. I immediately created a fire to burn the trees around me. The tree that had originally stood upright, was now scorched leaving smoke.

The shadow of the person attacking me is starting to show. I waited until the smoke faded. I looked at the guy's face. It turns out she was Stella. Why is he here? 

"Why did you attack me, Stella?"

He's clucking pissed. "I want you dead, Diana."

Stella immediately attacked me with the remaining tree. Roots and tree branches shot towards me. I made a protective magic and then counterattacked with fire magic. 

I'll use teleportation magic soon. I was behind Stella. Magic chains wrapped around his body. I made a sword beside his neck.

"Why are you doing this?" He was too rash to be consumed by his emotions. From earlier he used his magic without any mature plan. 

Stella turned towards me with a messed up face. Tears wet his cheeks. "You took it from me Diana. I have loved her for a long time. I hope she will soon realize my feelings by continuing to be by her side. But your arrival made her fall in love with you. I hate you."

I'm speechless. I expected it, but I didn't think Stella would attack me like this. I thought he would separate Keith and me the usual way. Like making me jealous. This time he really wanted to kill me. His gaze stabbed me.

A memory of Stella and a hug flashed through my head. I think I misunderstood. It was not Keith who was insensitive. Stella declares her love but Keith instead considers Stella's concern only as a friend. I sighed heavily.

"You can hate me as much as Stella, but think about it, you didn't say it to Keith clearly. I want you to forget it."

"It's easy to say that Diana. You never feel your love clapping one hand." Stella's tears are getting worse. His voice trembled, but he kept staring into my eyes. He is a brave man. I appreciated.

"I've felt it before, but just misunderstood. I know that it's not easy. Think about your feelings. The more you don't let go, the more you will hurt yourself. Then stop blaming others, circumstances and yourself. The past can't already happen, all you do is keep moving. If you keep tied to the past then you can't be happy."

I don't know if my words can be done or not. Even myself all this time kept staring at the past, but those were the only words that flashed through my brain to comfort Stella.

Keith was beginning to be seen. He's coming to us soon. 

"So the trees were still shady, but suddenly flattened to the ground without anything happening. What the hell is going on?" ask him to us.

"Whatchu mean? Didn't you see that smoke billowing from Keith?"

"What smoke?" Keith was confused.

Stella interrupted me before I avenged Keith. "I made an illusionary magic to separate you guys." She took off my arms while wiping her tears. This must be Stella's unique magic. It is impossible for animal and plant magicians to have illusion magic. So the reason I'm circling around in circles is because of this. 

"Why?" ask Keith.

I didn't want to hear about the friendship between friends, because I was tired of my relationship with Eric starting to crack. I whispered something to Stella's ear. "You can explain everything to Keith. Say how you feel. Finish everything so you can be relieved."

I smiled at him sincerely. I approached Keith and then I patted his shoulder. "I'll leave you alone."

I returned to the horse carriage waiting for them to speak. I watched them from the window. Keith hugged Stella who was crying. After she calmed down, Stella left Keith without turning away. 

"I didn't know that Stella had feelings for me" Keith said as soon as he got into the carriage.

"You alone are insensitive" I replied.

"When did you know Diana?" He ignored my words.

"When Jordin's family party in his previous life."

"Wait a minute, you came there that time?"

"Yes, but it doesn't matter. You didn't realize it when I saw it the first time you could tell."

"All right, I was wrong. Are you jealous of him?" Keith smiled at me.

My face's heating up. I turned my face to look at the window.

"It's true, can't you guys not get along because of me?"

"Stop babbling. I was tired from fighting him earlier, "my excuse for not wanting this topic to continue.

Keith chuckled softly. His hands are wrapped around my stomach. He peeped my cheek. 

"Tonight would you like to stay at my residence? I want to hear a story I don't know" he whispered in his ear. Her voice is very seductive.

"Just talk, nothing more." I still look away from embarrassment.

"What do you think, Diana?" tanyanya pretended not to know.

Now he's teasing me more and more. However, I could not get angry, because he managed to make me happy. I almost forgot about Derek. Our peace will not be realized without his death.
