I opened my eyes slowly. The ceiling above is not my room.
"Diana" cried Keith.
My body hurts all. I turn my head to the side. Keith sat beside the bed holding my hand. Iris standing behind him looked worried.
I remember the incident before fainting. My meeting and fight with Derek. My killer and the witch killer in the kingdom. Immediately I raised my body.
"I need paper and pen. I have to call Eric," I said in a hurry.
Keith and Iris' faces hardened. Keith tried to calm me down.
"Have a rest, Diana. Your wound has healed but still your body has not fully recovered" he said gently.
"No, the killer. I have to tell you right away" my words faltered.
My breath feels tight. I held my chest that hurt.
"Sister Diana." Iris shouted worriedly.
She immediately took out a magic potion located on the dressing table. Then drink it to me. My breathing is more regular. My pain is gone.
Keith looked at me with a very messed up look. His hand is getting tighter. "Please calm yourself, Diana. Speak slowly."
"So who made you this way? Is it the killer of the displaced?" continued Keith.
"Surely he was the killer. The killer we caught before was just bait. He's the real brain. That person is Derek Rockyard" I cried with a heavy voice. I'll give him back, but not in this condition. I'll restore myself and increase my magic power.
Keith's eyes widened. Anger enveloped him. I've never seen him that angry.
"People who were rejected at the family head's party were Kak Diana's, right?" ask Iris.
"That's right. He came to propose to me again yesterday. Of course I refused it. We fought and I lost. His magic power grew stronger as it absorbed the sorcery of those horribly dead victims." I nodded while explaining at length.
The problem of us repeating time is kept secret from them.
"His power increased by absorbing the power of another witch?" Keith asked as if he could not believe it.
"That's right, the unique magic is transfer magic," I replied.
Silence was between us. Keith gritted his teeth.
"I'll get you some paper and a pen. Iris brought food for Diana. You rest first, Diana, "he ordered.
"Good, Brother."
Iris's coming out. Keith is still here. He looked at me sharply because I did not obey his orders. I immediately lay down. Feeling that his orders had been obeyed, he immediately came out to get my needs, his eyes unchanged. This time I saw his side like that. He looks scary.
Iris came back with food. I leaned on the bed to eat. Iris's hand scooped the porridge and then pointed it at me.
"I can do it myself" I refused.
"The injured person can't work too hard" he replied as he looked at me sharply.
Eating is not a strenuous activity. She thinks of me like a child My body is still tired, I don't want to argue any further so I just obey.
"Sister and I were very worried to see Sister Diana yesterday. We were afraid that Sister Diana would go to pick up Mom, especially Brother. He was screaming at me even though we were still fighting." Iris told me while putting the porridge in my mouth.
They both fought? Wh why? I haven't had time to finish this porridge in my mouth and ask, Iris continued.
"The reason we fought is secret. In the end we made it back today."
Iris was acting pretty secretive, but even though I asked Keith he didn't seem to be answering either. Iris thrust the spoon in front of my mouth again. This is the last feed. I devoured it.
Keith came with a paper and pen, handed them to me. I immediately wrote down the identity of the killer. Chirp my magic on the letter so that Eric opens it immediately and realizes that this is from me, because surely the candle stamp that was affixed belongs to Keith. They didn't get along and the chances of Eric reading them were very few, so just in case I did that.
I sent the letter to Keith.
"I will send it to the King soon. Iris you take care of Diana. Make sure he gets some rest. Then Diana don't dare to teleport to your residence. You haven't recovered properly" Keith recalled.
Today his mood was really bad. He wasn't smiling at all. Perhaps seeing my condition yesterday made him angry at Derek, or because the killer was still roaming free, or because of both. His gaze was so sharp that it could kill people.
"Okay, Keith," I answered briefly.
These two people won't let me go anywhere. Looks like I have to stay here until I fully recover.
***
I've been at the Skyrise residence for three days. I've recovered and Eric's gonna pick me up tomorrow. Actually he wanted to see me after getting my man, but Keith forbade it. Keith asks Eric to focus on catching Derek. While the matter of recovering myself was handed over to Keith because there was Iris as a Potion Witch. My safety is also assured because Keith will protect me. In the end, Eric gave up. I heard all of that from Keith's mouth. I think he's speaking honestly.
I can't stand the whispering because there's a guard standing next to me. Iris was with me all day and night. At just going out while taking food, making potions, and bathing. He slept next to me making sure that I stayed here the next day. I feel like a prisoner. At least tomorrow I'll be free.
It's already night time. Iris was asleep next to me. My eyes were closed, but I could not sleep. It seems that going around this residence can make me sleepy. As much as possible I moved slowly so as not to wake Iris from her sleep. If being found out doesn't matter, I've recovered. They will not be angry.
The guest room hallway I passed. I remember every memory of me being here, with Keith, Iris and their mother. Unknowingly my feet took me to the park.
My place and Iris or Keith talk a lot. The night wind is beating on me. I embrace my body that feels cold. I should have brought warm clothes.
Suddenly my body was warm. The warm clothes had been draped over my shoulder. I turned to the guy who gave me this shirt. Apparently Keith.
"I'm just going for a little walk. It felt like I was in a three-day room" I explained before being taken in by Keith.
"I won't scold you, Diana. You can take a walk for a while but don't get late at night" Keith looked me in the eye.
It seems his mood has improved. The anger began to subside.
"Good."
I moved away from her looking at the flowers planted here. These flowers are not as much as in my residence, but still look beautiful. Keith just looked at me not moving from where he was.
"There's something I want to tell you, Diana," she said softly.
I turnedmy body. He smiled at me. This was his first smile since three days ago.
"Just say it, Keith."
"I love you Diana."
The night wind blows again. The cold pierced my skin until it reached my heart.
