Retaliation of Disabled Girls

Retaliation of Disabled Girls
Chapter 34 Farewell

This is my second time attending a funeral. Mrs Skyrise looked smiling at the coffin. A carefree smile like the one he showed us two days ago. I didn't think it was the last day I saw him alive. There was no sign that he was going to die. Maybe actually he already knew that day was the end, so be strong while delivering the final message to us.

After talking to me, he called his children one by one. I don't know what he told them, but I'm sure Keith and Iris didn't realize it was the last day with their mother either. The three of us spent time with him laughing.

Now he's lying in a coffin. All the pain was gone and there was no need to feel it anymore. She lived peacefully with her husband in another realm.

Iris cried in Keith's arms. Keith tried hard, though his face radiated a deep sadness. While I am here I can only mourn. No tears flowing down my cheeks. I was sad, but no one wanted to go out. I don't think my body will respond to what my heart says.

I saw Stella rub her eyes with a handkerchief. Of course he came here, because the mother of his loved ones died.

Mrs Skyrise's chest had been covered in dirt. She was buried next to her husband. On the tombstone it is written.

...Here is the theme ...

...Our beloved mother...

...Camellia Skyrise's...

The funeral service is over. The one who mourned began to return to his own residence. Stella is still here with me and the Skyrise sisters.

"Let's go home Iris, I definitely don't want us to be sad all the time like this" Keith said, taking off his sister's arms.

"Good Brother."

Iris took off her brother reluctantly. He wiped his tears. Then walked towards the horse carriage following me and Keith.

He stopped, turned back to look at his mother's headstone. Keith continued his steps despite knowing his sister had stopped. It must be hard to let go of her mother. I felt it when I lost my father. His smile, his laughter, his attention I could no longer feel. Sometimes I still miss him now.

Iris sobbed back. I approached her trying to provide comfort, but Stella preceded me. He hugged and patted Iris on the back. Iris a hiccup in her arms.

Unable to see this scene, I continued my steps towards the horse carriage. I got on the horse-drawn carriage. Keith looked up at the window. His shoulders were up and down, he was crying. Don't want to be seen by the people here crying alone. He's been holding her since. When Iris turned around, Keith could not help but cry so he did not comfort his sister.

I sat next to him patting his shoulder. He turned towards me and cried to hug me. I hugged him tightly. Unknowingly my tears came. Seeing so much sadness today made me unable to bear my body to not cry.

Keith took off his embrace wiping away his tears and my tears. We both cried for a long time. He came down to pick up his sister. Iris' crying had stopped and Stella wasn't there. Iris was still looking at her mother's headstone from a distance. Keith shrugged his shoulders. Iris clasped Keith's hand and returned to his residence with us.

During the trip, there was no conversation between us. We are all still mourning the loss of Mrs Skyrise. Arriving at the Skyrise residence. Keith said something to his sister, "You can go first into Iris. I have something to talk to Diana about."

Iris nodded slowly. He left us. Keith looked into my eyes while smiling bitterly. "Thank you, Diana. Actually I don't want to look weak by others, especially by you, but thanks to you I feel more relieved."

"No problem Keith." I tried to return her smile.

"I'll be at your place tomorrow. I have something to say, that today seems inappropriate" he said, scratching his head.

I'm the same. I can't bear to say it today because it will only add to Keith's grief. I'll say tomorrow. I'll cancel our engagement tomorrow.

"Well, I'll wait for you tomorrow, Keith."

Keith had arrived in front of my residence. Welcomed it. We're heading to the living room.

"It turns out that here or in my house it feels really lonely" Keith suddenly looked sad.

The loss of her mother must have made the Skyrise residence uncharacteristic. The joy that was there turned into sadness.

"How else, there's only me here" I said.

"Do you hate your sister, Diana?"

"I hate it he killed my father."

Another reason I can't tell Keith.

Keith bowed and looked up at me. "Do you know why he did that?"

"He envies me because my magic power is greater. I was confirmed to be the next head of the family, so he attempted to seize it by manipulating my father's will. Why are you suddenly saying this Keith?"

That's right today Keith was so weird. I think it's the loss of her mother.

"It's okay, I just want to know how you feel about your sister. I'm sorry if I asked weirdly" he said, chuckling.

"Don't blame yourself for what happened to your mother, Keith. It's not your fault and Iris won't blame you" I said trying to understand her way of thinking.

I think she wanted to ask sister's feelings to brother when their parents died. It's just that my family and Keith's circumstances are different. They got along so much that Trevor and I hated each other.

"I know, Diana," she replied softly, her smile fading.

Silence was between us. It is time for me to end our contract engagement. Before I could open Keith's mouth before me.

"Better, our engagement is just cancelled, Diana," Keith said in a heavy tone.

I was surprised to hear that. I'm speechless. I can't believe Keith broke off our engagement. All this time I have misunderstood, the attention directed to me is only as a friend. Just like in my old life.

"so yeah. I agree with Keith, too" I replied.

"After this I hope we can still be friends, Diana. Occasionally come to my residence to see Iris." Keith tried to melt this awkward atmosphere.

"All right, Keith." I smiled at him.

"Thank you for your help, Diana. Good bye."

"Goodbye, Keith."

Keith stood up leaving this room. I drove him to the front. He said goodbye to me once again. I saw Keith's carriage slowly disappearing.

In the end, I couldn't get my revenge. This is the same as my previous life. He left me after his mother died.
