Chapter 26 The Love Statement of Friends

I tried to forget what happened yesterday by staying in my study, working on documents. But I'm not alone. Not the butler who accompanied me, but the Skyrise brothers. They ate the food and tea in front of me while waiting for me to finish the job.

It's the first time Iris has been here. Keith took her around before coming to my study. As soon as I saw him busy, they spoke in whispers. I don't know why they're here and not coming home. Are their needs so important that they wait for me like this?

I put down the pen and the documents I did. Keith looked up at me. 

"Is it over, Diana?" 

"Living a little more. I can work on it later. What are you guys doing here?"

"Are you coming to the birth of the first child of the Jordy Family?"

It was a party when I saw Keith and Stella cuddling in my previous life and expressing love to each other. I got the invitation, but it's still cornered in the corner of my desk. Coming there reminds me of something I want to forget. So the point is I'm not coming 

"No."

"Why, Sister Diana?" ask Iris.

There is no way I can convey my reasons to them. This may not happen in the present. It's just that I'm not happy to remember that.

"I'm too busy" my dear.

"Don't you tell me your job's almost done?" sergeant Keith.

"True, please take the time to have fun too Sister Diana," Iris added.

They are too involved in my business. Whether I wanted to come or not was my decision, but I couldn't win from Iris. He is a forced man and does not give up easily. Surely after this he'll terrorize me if he doesn't come.

"alright. I'll come along." In the end I lost.

"Horry." The two brothers screamed simultaneously.

"On condition, Iris I have to buy a dress for the party."

I won't let them win that easily.

"No need, the dress that Diana's sister bought a few days ago can be worn at the party." Iris shook her hands.

"That's right, the dress is already good for Iris" Keith said.

"Then I won't go." I continued my work. 

"Eh." 

"What?" 

Keith and Iris shouted simultaneously. They discussed for a while. I couldn't hear their conversation at all. I put the pen and put the document I was working on to the finished part. Everything's done.

Iris looked at me, opening her mouth. "Alright, Sister Diana I want," he said hesitantly.

I smiled knot. "Good then."

I stepped down from the horse carriage. Keith helped me get down. Iris standing beside him smiled towards me. She's wearing a fancy dress. It suits him perfectly. 

I honestly don't remember if Iris went to this party in my past life or not. The only thing on my head was Stella. Of course he came here. I think Stella's gonna bother me and Keith. I'm ready to serve it. 

"You're so beautiful today, Diana," said Keith.

I countered Keith with praise as well, "You're also handsome, Keith."

"What about me?" Iris doesn't want to lose.

"It just can't match, Sister Diana." 

My face feels hot. He exaggerated it too much. "Here you go, let's go inside." 

The three of us entered the party hall. All the views are directed towards us. I don't ignore it. We congratulate the Head of the Jordy Family on the birth of his first child. Then find a comfortable place. Iris joined her friend exchanging gossip. I watched all the guests present. Stella and her father were talking to other guests. Derek was also present at this party being near the food.

Eric came shortly. Everyone was bowed down because of the King's arrival. The head of the Jordin Family lowered his head. He raised his head as soon as the King stood before him. Eric congratulated. He put his eyes around and our views met. At first I saw him smile but it faded away. Keith was still by my side clasping tightly onto my hand. 

Eric came up to us to say hello. "I didn't expect to see Miss Moonlight and Mr. Skyrise here."

"Greetings to, Your Majesty." Keith and I both replied at the same time.

Although Keith was smiling, but I could feel Keith and Erix's sharp gaze clashing. I don't know why they don't get along.

The head of the Jordin Family gave a welcome. He started this party with a toast. I touched my glass with Keith and Eric who were here. After that, the dance began.

Both hands were outstretched to me. Keith and Eric's hands. Why is Eric suddenly like this? He has no partner, but that does not mean that I must obey all the requests of the King. I already have a partner, Keith, there's no way I can just leave my fiancee. 

"I'm sorry, Your Majesty. I can't accept your offer. I sudsh have a couple. Instead, you can dance with Miss Skyrise. He also has no partner tonight."

Iris who had just arrived near here was confused, because her name was suddenly mentioned. 

"I don't think it's necessary, Miss Moonlight." Eric put his hand down. He passed Iris towards the wall to lean there. His aura looks very upset. Why is Eric emotional? He used to be not so angry.

I grabbed Keith's hand, danced with him. Eric's gaze could feel me stabbing my back. Either aimed at me or Keith. 

"Thank you, Diana," Keith asked with a bright smile.

"For what?"

"Because you chose to dance with me."

"I just don't want rumors that Miss Moonlight would rather dance with the King than her fiance" I explained as I looked at Keith.

"Stay, thank you."

I just saved my face and Keith in public. Not more.

Suddenly everything was dark. The people dancing collided with each other as well as us. Our hands parted but Keith pulled me straight out. We've already walked out of that hall. I could only see Keith's back. Her moonlighted shadow looked strange.

We arrived at the park. A park that reminds me of Stella and Keith's love statement. 

The lights are on. I looked at the face of the person in front of me. It wasn't Keith. It was Eric.

"What is this Eric?" I let go of Eric's hand.

It turned out that after I parted ways with Keith, Eric pulled me out here. It was too soon that I thought the hand that brought me out belonged to Keith. 

"Can't you really cancel your engagement, Diana?" Eric put both his hands on my shoulders.

I'll drop it off immediately. If anyone sees us, it'll only be a problem. "I've told you before, no, Eric." 

"Can't I just be your fiance?" Eric raised his voice.

"What?" 

Did my ears hear wrong?

"I love you, Diana."

My eyes were wide open, I didn't expect Eric to say that.
