Retaliation of Disabled Girls

Retaliation of Disabled Girls
Chapter 37 Festival

My relationship with Eric began to spread. All I heard was bad rumors about me. After being dumped by Mr. Skyrise, Miss Moonlight seduces the King. It's crazy I never teased Eric, he was the one chasing me. I think because I changed my partner too quickly so labeled as a cheap woman. Did I cancel this engagement? Then Eric's gonna be hurt 'cause he's been played with.

I took a long breath.

"What's up, Diana?" asked Eric beside me.

He took my hand. We went around the festival.

"I heard rumors that I was flirting with the king" I replied reluctantly.

Eric chuckled softly and then took things seriously. "I'll put the rumor down. I'll spread that the King is crazy about you."

"It's okay, Eric. The latter is better not to do, for your image as a firm and wise King will wear off" I said, looking forward.

"All right, Diana." Eric sounded disappointed. He even likes to be called crazy about me.

"This is your first time going to the festival?" chirping.

"Right, I don't have time to come to the festival."

"Then have fun today, Eric." I smiled at him. Then pull him towards the food stall.

I bought Eric a variety of food to get him to try it. He must have never eaten such a meal. When I saw how much food I bought, he shook his head. He tried it reluctantly. However, once it tasted with his tongue, he looked delighted.

"It's so good, Diana. I didn't expect the food here to be this good." He ate the food I gave him one by one.

I nodded while watching him eat voraciously. It's great to see Eric happy like this. Life in the palace must be very boring. He must be stuck with work. I was amazed by her being able to survive in the palace all this time.

Eric's eyes were fixed on one of the game's outlets. I took her there. Some circular boards with a red circle in the center shift to the left and to the right quickly. The player must hit that red circle with an ice needle to get a reward. The smaller the circle that gets the prize the more interesting.

Eric tried to play it. He casted out ice needle magic while concentrating. He launched his ice needle. His magic was about the smallest circle. He got a gift of a gemstone. Didn't know she wanted to give it to me.

"No need, Eric. You won it," I refused.

"I'm free to give it to anyone, Diana. So take it, "the force.

He held my hand, placed the red gemstone in my hand, and then tightly grasped my hand.

"All right."

This time I lost, but I'll make a brooch for him with this.

We saw a magic parade. The magic that was launched in the air created a glitter of light. Magic is not only used to hurt, protect, heal, poison, communicate with others. Magic can also be an art.

Many children were watching this parade. They were amazed to see the beauty created by magic. Their parents stood behind guarding their children.

Eric who had never seen magic as an art, was amazed as he looked up at the sky. He's like a kid. I guess I used to be like this too.

"Beautiful right?" I asked while looking at him.

Eric nodded still fixated on the glitter of light as he said, "Truly beautiful."

I stared at the night sky with magic lights. It is so soothing and relieving to a chaotic mind. I guess after this I can just say my ridiculous plan.

"Wherever you come from, Diana."

Turns out there's another side to him that I don't know about. He wants to stick to the person he likes.

"We rest first in the square. I have something to say to you" I said.

"Well, Diana."

We walked towards the square still holding hands. Eric didn't want to take my hand off.

Then we met someone I knew. The black-blue-haired male and the blond-haired girl were walking side by side. Both were surprised to see us. Eric took off his hand and grabbed me. He looked at the man sharply. They still don't get along.

Keith replied with the same look. Stella embraces Keith's arm showing their affection. Now he can be free to do anything. I can't ban him because Keith's not who I am.

They approached us greeting Eric. "Greetings to, Your Majesty."

Eric received their greetings and continued our journey. I feel like someone is looking at me from behind. I turned my head back. Stella and Keith's back moved further away towards the parade. I look back to the front. It just seems to be my feeling.

We had already arrived at the square sitting chairs near the fountain. People are still enjoying the festival. They head to their respective destinations, whether to the food stalls, games or see parades. While I'm sitting here feeling like I have no purpose. My heart should be happy.

"What do you want to talk about, Diana?" eric asked me to break my daydream.

"It's about caring for displaced people. I know this is very risky. Our people are very limited. What if we pretend to stop the guard? Then ask the palace witch to keep watch. The nobles involved with the assassin would not know of this plan. Maybe the killer will show up and then we can catch him" I hesitated.

Eric was silent while thinking. I continued saying, "Nothing to do is okay. This is just a mere suggestion. If it will take a victim, it is better to forget it.

"I will think about it at all times, tomorrow I will tell you my decision, Diana," she said in my opinion.

"Thank you, Eric."

"It's late, how about we go home?" He stood up while extending his hand to me.

"Well," I replied briefly as I grabbed her hand.

Eric drove me home. During the trip there was no conversation between us, but I could see Eric really enjoying the festival. After arriving at my residence. He came out first to help me get off the horse-drawn carriage. He still clasped my hand as if he didn't want to let go of it no matter what.

"Can I hold you, Diana?" tanyanya.

"May be."

There are still people who see us.

Eric hugged me tightly. I returned his embrace.

"I'm so happy today, Diana. I wish time could stop. However, if so your feelings for me will not grow. So I was hoping for something else to be able to have a day like this tomorrow" he said near my ear.

I wish it was that easy, but my feelings are still dry.

Eric took off my arms and smiled. I reply smile. He said goodbye while kissing my hand. The carriage slowly disappeared. The smile I forced slowly disappeared.

It's depressing. Especially me. The love my friend sincerely gave me was hard to repay. I don't know when it'll be like this.
