Retaliation of Disabled Girls
Chapter 24 Feelings

Everything seems slow in my head. Iris' tears started to drip. Keith clasped his mother's hand tightly. Keith's mother's shoulders were up and down because her breathing was tight. They all seemed to be suffering, especially Keith. I should have loved to see it, but my heart was torn to shreds.

I don't understand why Trevor and the killer would be happy to witness the suffering of others. Their hearts are dead. Although I'm happy to see Trevor tormented, it's because he has made me miserable.

Keith's mother and Iris were completely innocent of me. They knew nothing about my business and Keith's in my previous life. There is no need for them to feel pain because of the mistakes of others.

Time flows back as usual.

"Iris get me some of Mom's medicine!" keith shouted in panic.

Iris turned towards the door. Iris's hand was then the sight of their mother's room turned into an experimental room. Unable to change the situation, Iris dyed.

"Hurry, Iris!"

My screams awakened him. Iris immediately grabbed the bottle containing the blue-colored potion. He came back to me. His hands that were getting cold I held tightly. We immediately teleported back to Mrs Skyrise's room.

Iris immediately drank the potion she was looking for earlier to her mother. After a while, Keith's mother's face began to improve. Swelling of the forehead due to invisible pain. His breathing is also regular.

We who were in the room breathed a sigh of relief. Keith looked towards me and Iris took turns. "Thank you" he said softly.

That's my decision. I'm not gonna hurt Keith's family. My revenge is only on Keith. I'm not the same as Trevor who sacrificed innocent people to achieve his goals. My conscience is still there that sets me apart from Trevor.

I'll wait until Keith's mother recovers or at worst he'll pick up her husband. After that, I'll leave Keith.

Mrs Skyrise fell asleep with a calm face. Iris held tightly to her mother's fragile hands. Kissed her many times. His sister held both shoulders to give her spirit even though she was actually sad too.

Iris without a word left this room. I followed him but was arrested by Keith.

"Let it go, Iris herself." Keith's voice was so slow that I didn't hear it.

Events like this must have happened over and over again. They are cheerful to forget the pain that can happen at any time. This family that I envy has a weird problem that's hard to solve. I'll help ease their burden even just a little.

I shook my head, taking Keith's hand off. I set foot into Iris's room. My hand knocked on the door. There's no answer. There were footsteps approaching from behind the door. The door opened revealing Iris's face was extremely chaotic.

"Can I come in?" my many.

Iris nodded. I went into his room. Iris didn't say much, bowed to the edge of the bed.

"If you want to cry, just cry." Iris hugged me while stroking her head.

Iris replied with a tight hug. Her cries ring in my ears.

"There's no need to blame myself Iris. Your mother's condition is not your fault or anyone's. No one hates you when you fail. Your hard work, which you think is fruitless, is still appreciated by your mother. You've been trying so hard to treat her."

Those are the words that come out of my mouth. I'm not good at entertaining people. I also don't know if Iris will be comforted by my words. All I wanted was for her to let go of everything that was stuck in her heart to feel relieved.

Iris fell asleep in my arms. I couldn't bear to leave him, to be by his side. I fell asleep soon too.

My brain asked to meet Gauri. My body followed him too. Now, I was in the Gauri House sitting opposite the Oldest Witch in the Kingdom.

"What are you coming here for?"

It's possible that if Keith's life span increases, his illness will be cured.

"There," Gauri replied briefly.

"How is it?"

"How to move the life span of a witch to another witch. Better not to do it. The life of the person who sends his life span to others will be reduced."

Similar to transfer magic. It's a great way to make Keith's mother healthier. I will sacrifice Trevor's life for Keith's mother. People like Trevor don't deserve to live. Life would be more fun if people as good as Keith's mother lived long.

"What steps do you need to take to perform that magic?"

"I've said no. Not only will the one who sends his life span suffer, but the one who receives it will also suffer." Gauri raised her voice a little.

"Why?" One of my eyebrows is raised. Why would people who will live long also suffer?

Gauri sighed. "If the person who receives a period of life suffers from the disease, then the pain will be even more unbearable. If the person who receives it is healthy, then he will be exposed to an incurable disease to death. Their suffering will be even more severe."

Keith and Iris must have thought about this. They do not use this magic because the consequences actually make their dear mother suffer even more.

There was no other way but to accept the passing of Mother Keith with a chest of air. No one knows when he will leave his children.

"I'm sorry, I. Then thank you," I replied with a bow.

"Is there another question?"

"nothing. I'll take care of it."

Actually I want to know the power of the time magician but Gauri still won't open her mouth. I don't want to bother doing something in vain.

I left Gauri's house back to the Skyrise residence. They must have been waiting for me to have breakfast. Or even they were looking for me who suddenly disappeared.

I'm heading to the dining room. Keith who was in front of the dining room was running towards me.

"Where have you been, Diana? I've been looking for you everywhere but I haven't met." Keith's breathing is irregular. It seems like he took a lot of trouble looking for me earlier.

"I went back to my residence for a while to get changed," I answered half-lying half-rightly.

I was at my residence before. The plan to stay here was very sudden, so I did not bring my needs. So I went back there to change clothes before I went to Gauri's house.

"It turns out so. Earlier, I apologized for last night's commotion, Diana. Then, because of that panic you used your teleportation magic in front of Iris." Keith's tone began to calm down. The panic is gone.

"It's okay, besides yesterday was urgent, Keith."

"I'll have Iris shut her mouth about your unique magic. Before that do you want to eat with us, Diana?" Keith smiled.

I reply smile. "There's no harm in me eating before I go home."

Keith asked me in. Iris breathed a sigh of relief to see me. We eat quietly. Last night's chaos was either just the wind or they were just pretending it never happened in order to have a day without sadness.

So do I. I pretend that everything is okay. Even my own feelings.
