Chapter 28 The Truth of Genesis at the Feast

Iris came into my study, opened the door hard. I think it's because of a few days ago.

"She should have said first that the one to be entertained was the King." Iris raised her voice.

I've guessed. It was my fault too, but it was so panicked that it made me forget. 

"I'm sorry, Iris" I replied.

"Diana knew I was wrong to see the King cry? I really don't know how to cheer him up. I feel like a fool" Iris grumbled.

They were not close, only met yesterday, but Diana had no other way but to comfort Eric through someone else, the passing coincidence was Iris. 

"I'm really sorry Iris." I put my hand in front of my head.

"I'll forgive you on condition, can I ask you something?" Iris's voice was quieter.

"Of course."

"What is the cause of the king's crying? Why was Diana there? Then why did Sister Diana leave him?" Iris sounded excited. His curiosity radiated from his eyes.

"I made the king cry. The reason I can't tell you this is about a King's pride. As soon as the King's lights pulled me out, I thought he was Keith so I just kept quiet. Then I left because there was no way Keith could be alone without me" I explained at length.

I can't possibly reveal my friend's feelings to anyone else. Especially to my fiancee's sister, there could be a commotion. 

Iris closed her eyes while tapping. He opened his eyes while smiling. 

"Alright, I accept Sister Diana's apology."

"Thank you and never tell anyone about the King crying, Iris" I said with emphasis.

It could be dangerous if the witch of the Sunborn Kingdom found out that her King was crying in a public place. Eric will be underestimated then his notoriously cold and assertive nature will be questioned. It'll cause chaos. Although the King must be perfect, he is still a human being, can certainly do wrong.

"I won't tell it to Diana. It's about a person's privacy" he said in earnest.

Kuhela took a long breath. I continued my work. Where is Keith, by the way?

"Are you alone, Iris?" I asked while looking for Keith.

"True Sister Diana. Oh yeah I almost forgot. Brother Keith said that he couldn't see Diana for days. He has to look after Sister Stella, because Mr. Frostein is looking for the perpetrator who poisoned her daughter" he said, holding the head.

I tapped my finger at the table. They were friends when they were little, of course Keith would help his friend. If I forbid it, this would even be bad for me. It's just that I'm afraid to leave them both.

"Do you want to accompany me to visit Stella, Iris?" my many.

"Of course, Sister Diana," Iris replied with a smile.

I replied with a grin.

I'm not gonna let you use this opportunity to break Stella's engagement.

We have reached the residence of Frostein. Nice house with light blue design. This arrival was very sudden so no one was waiting in front. Iris knows the location of this residence, so I don't need another driver.

With this many servants Keith shouldn't have to look after Stella. However, those servants simply could not fight. Maybe that's what Mr. Frostein's real concern is about, and then asking Keith to protect his daughter. Or even Stella persuades her father to ask Keith to protect her.

The poison that Stella drank counteracted the magic potion so that she recovered longer. He used drugs from a doctor.

We've arrived at Stella's room. Iris went in first, as soon as Stella saw me behind Iris her face became gloomy. He doesn't like my arrival. Unlike Keith who looks happy to sit on the side chair of the mattress.

"I didn't think you'd be here, Diana, '" Keith said.

Stella mumbled something. I think he thought the same thing as Keith. I don't really want to come here, but leaving these two alone can bring forth the seeds of love in Keith again.

"There's nothing wrong, I went to see the poisoning victim, Keith. Then I brought a cut cake for Stella," I replied with a smile towards Stella. Then I gave the package I brought to Stella.

Stella accepted it with a smile despite the force. "Thank you, Diana."

He called for the waiter to keep the parcel I gave him and prepare a snack and tea for us. Me and Iris sat in the guest chair. Then Iris's fuss went on. "How could Stella's sister be poisoned? Has the culprit been arrested? How is Stella's sister doing now?"

The question was answered by Stella calmly. "At that time, I felt thirsty sipping my drink. After that, my head felt dizzy and I was unconscious. Looks like someone put poison in my drink when the power goes out, because everyone's actions at the party are out of sight. The culprit hasn't been caught. Now that I'm better, thanks for your concern, Iris."

Iris scrunched her face. Then he asked again, "Is there no one that Stella suspects?"

Stella put her index finger on her temple. "Nobody's been thinking."

"Oh, yeah." Iris looked disappointed. His curiosity has not been satisfied.

Stella can make up stories and pretend like that. I think he deserves to be a drama actor. He thinks he can lie to everyone, but not me.

"Here Iris, don't ask Stella a lot of questions. He needs rest. Let me take care of Stella, Keith. You take a break. Then Iris keep an eye on your sister outside to really take a break." I smiled at them meaningfully.

"Okay" they answered simultaneously.

The Skyrise sisters came out of Stella's room. Now I can talk to this girl.

"You're very good at lying, yes" I said.

"I don't know what you're talking about, Diana. I think you're the one who's good at lying" she replied.

"I've checked the condition of the party hall. Power cord cut off because it was eaten by rats. Fortunately the Jordy Family Head installed backup power sourced from magic in order to anticipate events such as power outages. So at that time the party can be continued despite the commotion," I said while taking a brief moment.

Since the Stella poisoning incident was different from my previous life, I investigated it. I'm worried that this is happening because magic is repeating time, so that innocent victims arise. It turns out my guess was wrong. 

"What do you want Diana to say?" Strlla looks nervous.

"You used your magic to get the rats to bite the power cord until it broke. Then take advantage of the darkness by pouring yourself poison in your drink. You did it all to get Keith's attention, didn't you?" accuse me.

Stella gritted her teeth. Then smiling mocked me. "That's right, Diana."

Stella uses Keith's kindness to feel compassion. Keith must not have the heart to see his poisoned friend. Keith would help Stella without expecting anything. He will prioritize the health of his friend first. 

Unfortunately Stella's bad intentions are known to me, I will turn this around to attack her. He chose the wrong enemy.
