Chapter 32. Caught

The twilight began to show its charm. The golden plume that radiates in the western horizon indicates that it will soon begin in the evening. We're out of the zoo.

Rey is not sitting in front, but is coming with us in the passenger cabin. He held Zoya who looked exhausted from the morning running around. The little girl is now asleep on Rey's lap.

"Sister, isn't Sister Rena coming home tonight? Didn't Rey pick her up at the airport?"

He looked at me, then shook his head. "Rena doesn't like to be picked up at the airport. But I want to buy something for him. Alea, would you like to choose a gift for Rena?"

"Eh, what?"

All I know is that tomorrow is Kak Rey's birthday, but the man wants to find a present for Kak Rena instead. It was a sweet relationship for them. On one side Kak Rena is preparing a surprise for Kak Rey, while on the other side Kak Rey is also looking for a gift for Kak Rena.

"I thought you guys since childhood lived together. You must know very well how Rena tastes."

I looked down, then shook my head. "Sister, a woman will be very happy when her partner is the one who seeks and chooses gifts for her. He would feel sad if he found out someone else chose the gift." I smiled at him. "Surely Kak Rena is very happy if Kak Rey herself chose it. Not me."

Not that I don't want to help. But, a gift will be memorable if a loved one tries to choose it, not another woman. Moreover, the woman was the figure who seized her husband.

I understand enough of my position. Maybe, this is the last day I can sit in a car with Rey. Can I feel it any longer? Ah, it feels like the whole day with him is lacking. I was afraid I would not be able to see him again.

"At least, accompany me inside. I'll choose it."

"Heem, okay!" I nodded in agreement.

Zoya sleeps in the car with a small pillow on her head. He was completely exhausted to the point of not realizing that the car had stopped. Rey's sister asked the driver to look after Zoya, while we went out looking for a gift for Kak Rena.

A high-end jewelry store looks classy if noticed from its luxurious and radiant collections is limited to our goal. When Rey and I entered the red carpeted area, jewelry decorated with precious stones greeted us. I'm sure the jewelry here has a fantastic price.

Rey's sister put her arm around my shoulder, asking me to go inside to look at some fancy jewelry that maybe this whole of my life I've only seen in person.

They glittered to spoil the eyes. The gems embedded among the jewels look beautiful and luxurious.

"There's a new product?"

With a handsome face with a thick bule accent, of course the employees at the jewelry store were scrambling to serve Rey. Whatever the man wears, his appearance always looks dapper and attracts women.

"This is the latest. The limited edition."

A red velvet box opened in front of Rey. The man responded by frowning. "What's so special about this?"

"It was designed by the high-end designer of Louis Vuitton products. In addition to being produced on a limited scale, there are only ten pieces scattered around the world, this jewelry is equipped by the best diamonds from world-class collectors."

The shopkeeper was very friendly, explaining plainly anything related to jewelry. My views circulate, looking through the collection on display in the storefront.

"Alea, here!"

Rey called me. I immediately stepped towards him. The rectangular red box was directed at me. A diamond necklace looks beautiful there. True what Kak Rena said, if Kak Rey is good at choosing goods.

"What do you think?" He's asking.

"Ehm, pretty. Sis Rena must love it," I said honestly. Surely all women will feel very lucky if they get a gift like that.

Unexpectedly, that beautiful necklace she put on my neck. Obviously that surprised me. What does all this mean?

His hands touched my shoulders, and he pointed me to a large mirror located right in front of me. There, my shadow and Rey's sister were captured very clearly. He smiled towards the mirror, then slightly bowed, whispering something in my ear. "Do you like it?"

My hands touched the fancy jewelry that was coiled around my neck. Beautiful, really beautiful. My gaze turned to the mirror, looking at the smiling face of me. "What does Rey mean?"

I didn't want to be overconfident thinking that Rey deliberately bought this for me so I decided to ask her directly.

"You like her?" it was her question that made me even more confused.

Doubtful, I nodded. "It's gorgeous. Everyone will love it."

"All right! Here's toyou. It's our wedding present." He whispered softly in my ear.

My face is red. I can't hide a heart that's blooming. But, didn't Rey come here to buy a gift for Kak Rena?

"Sir Rey, this is too precious. You better buy another one. Didn't you come here to buy Rena a present?"

He shook his head slowly. "You are precious too. You're the mother of my son." His eyes showed sincerity. My heart warmed to hear his words. "I'll buy you another Rena. This one's for you, okay!"

I nodded with a smile. Am I really valuable? Just this time there was someone who said that to me because before I was only considered as disgusting filth. It definitely makes me feel happy.

We returned to the car after Rey bought a present for Kak Rena. Zoya awakens after hearing the door opened by Rey.

"Have you not been?" Zoya asked as she rubbed her eyes.

"In a minute, dear." I rubbed the little girl's head, then sat down next to her. He put his head back on my lap. It seems that the drowsiness has not completely disappeared from Zoya.

The car drove through the city crowd. Silence seemed to greet, enveloping the two of us. There was only the sound of music from the audio attached to the dashboard of the car accompanying our trip.

Rey's sister focused on the smartphone screen in hand. Her lips revealed a thin smile. I don't know what he saw there, I can only observe from the tail of my eyes.

"Alea, after driving you home, I'll take Zoya back to her parents' house. Maybe I won't stay again tonight. You're okay, right, by yourself?" askinya.

I'm nodding. Of course Rey will not stay again because tonight Sis Rena has returned home. In fact, Kak Rena has prepared a special surprise for Kak Rey on the night of her birthday.

For some reason, thinking about it made the corner of my heart ache. However, as hard as I could, I disguised my pain with a smile.

I was still contemplating in silence, trying to unravel my suddenly troubled heart. Until Rey's voice surprised me all of a sudden.

"Stop!" The man shouted loudly, ordering the driver to stop the car.

I got bounced around, lucky to have a seatbelt keeping me safe. However, my gaze was fixed on a place where Kak Rey's sharp eyes were pointed outside the car.

There I clearly saw Kak Rena sitting on the car stamp with a man in the hat who had met me at the time.
