Tarnished Before Accident

Tarnished Before Accident
Chapters 70. Panicked

Rey walked in a hurry with me following behind her. He held onto Sak Rena who was already limp with fresh blood seeping incessantly dripping on the floor. Soon we took her to the ER room with the nurse already following us carrying a gurney.

Rey brother laid Kak Rena there who was not aware of himself. I was trembling to see Sis Rena's terrible condition. Rey's sister hugged me after previously restoring her rough hair.

"Quiet, huh?" His big palm rubbed my arm. I nodded obediently.

I know Rey can't be that calm either. He was just trying to hold back so I wouldn't panic. But, seeing the sudden look on his face made me understand. We are both worried about Rena's condition.

"Alea, sit! Or you go home and rest at home. I'll have the driver pick you up."

I'm shaking. I haven't been able to calm down before seeing Kak Rena's examination results. I hope nothing happens to him.

However, if Sis Rena does not push me and Sis Rey, maybe we are the victims of the collapse of the board. How can a sturdy board so have to fall by itself without any triggers?

I was sitting there, in the long iron chair in front of the ER. Though earlier Kak Rena came to the hospital to check his validity. However, instead of being healthy he was like depositing his life for free.

I saw Rey call someone. He did not want to sit at all. There seemed to be a great sense of regret that was shackling his heart. Especially before he had a cold attitude with Sis Rena.

For about fifteen minutes, a middle-aged woman came rushing towards us. She is Mama Sonya. Maybe Rey's sister called Mama Sonya and told her the bad news.

"Rey, how's Rena doing?"

Rey just kept quiet. We also do not know what happened with Sis Rena because since then there has been no sign of the emergency room was open.

Mama Sonya put her palm on the glass of the room covered with mosquito nets. Although he wanted to peek, but could not do because the room was closed.

"How could Rena be hit by a big board? I have to sue the hospital!" Mama Sonya spoke in tears. His hand hit the clean white wall. "Rena, you need to be strong, honey. Mama doesn't have anyone else." She cried.

I can't see it. Mama Sonya loves Rena so much. Sis Rena is his pride, his beloved baby. No parent can afford to lose their own child. It was the most painful thing and would not be acceptable to any parent. Me included. I can feel how sad Mama Sonya is right now.

"Ma!" Rey's sister patted Mama Sonya's shoulder. "Calm down! Rena will be fine. I'm sure."

Mama Sonya wiped away the tears with the back of her hand. "How are you sure? You don't know how I feel right now? Rena suffered too much. He hasn't even taken care of himself lately." He sobbed. His body is falling down.

I don't know what to say. The feelings of parents are very strong for their children. Moreover, knowing that the only princess he loved was hurt by others, surely the pain felt more tormenting inwardly.

Almost thirty minutes waiting, Kak Rey turned out to contact Mother Salwa. I just found out when he suddenly came in a hurry.

"Rey, what's wrong? Where's Alea?"

Rey put her chin towards me. I did sit behind Mama Sonya's body. He stood in my sight.

Mother came to me, took Althaf from me. "Alea, we'd better get home. Let Rey here wait."

I'm shaking. I can't possibly leave Sister Rena in this condition. He was hurt for helping me. How could I have gotten that stuff.

I looked towards Rey. It seems that he does not care, as if his mind is really preoccupied with how Kak Rena's condition. There was a little bit of pain in the corner of my heart. Does Rey regret her actions that have left Kak Rena by choosing me? Especially before we left, sister Rena had said thinking about someone who did not think about it. I'm sure there's still so much love in the hearts of both of them.

Now, I nod at Mother's request to go home. My existence is not entirely necessary. I got up from the iron chair, and went over to Rey.

"Sister, I'll go home first. Let me know if there is any development of Kak Rena," said I lirih. My hand grabbed Rey's hand, kissed the back of her hand. And then he put his lips on my forehead. A warm kiss that he often did when we were about to part.

"Be careful," he said.

I'm nodding. I turned my gaze towards Mama Sonya, wanting to say goodbye, but the middle-aged woman seemed reluctant to look at me.

Mother called me and I immediately approached her. We both left the hospital to return home.

When it started late in the evening, I didn't see any incoming calls or messages from Rey. He has not returned from the hospital either. I'm getting scared if Kak Rena's condition gets worse.

"Alea, let's eat!" Mother's voice called me.

I don't know, I don't feel hungry. I want to wait for Rey to come home. Why didn't he call me?

"Awhile, Bun. Maybe Rey's coming home soon."

Mother rubbed my head. He whispered softly. "Eat, yes! Rey's gonna be pissed if you don't eat."

I'm nodding. I doubt if Rey's gonna be upset. Maybe he doesn't care right now. Or he hasn't filled his stomach since. I'm a rude scoff. Maybe I should go there and bring him dinner.

"Bun, nitip Althaf, huh? I'm going to the hospital. I'm sure Rey hasn't eaten."

Mother seemed to disapprove of my idea. However, I'm really worried about Rey. However, Kak Rena was injured for saving the lives of the three of us so surely Kak Rey felt a lot of guilt.

"Alright, careful. If you need anything, let us know quickly. Get the driver from home!"

I nodded while smiling.

It only took twenty minutes for me to reach the hospital where Kak Rena is being treated. After searching in the Emergency Unit room, I just found out if Kak Rena has been transferred to the treatment room. I rushed there while bringing Rey's sister dinner.

Maybe Mama Sonya does not have a substitute to take care of Kak Rena so Kak Rey must be willing to keep my brother as a form of responsibility. Because I know the nature of Rey who never gives up responsibility if she feels guilty.

And now when I was in front of Kak Rena's room whose door was opened a little, I saw Kak Rey waiting for Kak Rena who was lying down with her eyes closed, as well as a thick bandage that wrapped her head.

Rey's sister was crying on Rena's side.
