The Adventure Of Eric (The Rescue of the Elf Princess)
14. The Rapture of King Felix

"Stana's Falling! Uncle I'll be the temporary King of the Elf Kingdom!"

Prince Felix's hands and body trembled violently. His body staggered and hit the wall.

"The palace fell with just one strike?" he mumbled in disbelief. His guards are concerned. But can't do much.

"Gather all the heads of the guards of this residence!" his orders after understanding the precarious situation of the country. The guards ran and disappeared quickly.

Prince Felix looked at the terrace, where his wife was. He could not accompany the woman there. "Jaga madam!" his orders were to his wife's bodyguards and loyal servants.

"Good!" Both answered in unison. No one asked. Everyone knows that their country is in trouble. And the excitement grew even more after their master received a letter from the palace.

Felix rushed down to the large meeting room downstairs. Steps long. If it had been like that, it would not have appeared if he was very old.

In just seven minutes, all the heads of the residence guards had gathered. They had already heard of the fallen palace and the appointment of Prince Felix as the interim King.

Prince Felix Ockhenlich stared at the seven heads of the guards guarding his residence. The old man remained silent for quite a while. After exhaling a long breath, he cleared his throat.

"Have you heard from the palace?" ask Felix.

"News of the fall of the palace and your appointment as King!" answer one of the.

Prince Felix nodded. "Now you should know what to do, right?" ask Felix.

A knock on the door stopped the discussion in the room. Felix's waiting for who wants to come in. The door opened and someone was escorted in. He was the administrative part of the residence. Come up with a ledger to record important events.

The teary-eyed man sat to the left of the old prince. Opens his ledger that records the country's important history over time. His hand held a quill pen and was ready to copy the message sent by the palace.

Felix handed him a rolled-up paper in his hand, to be officially recorded. The old man patched up quietly and meticulously. Everyone is waiting.

Then the pen was put down and he stood up. Prince Felix also stood up, followed by the heads of the guards present.

The man held his book and read out the appointment of Prince Felix to be a temporary king, as desired by his nephew who became the previous king.

The chief guards knelt down and swore allegiance to the new king. The old man who took note and raised the new King, reached into the pouch of his long robe. Take out a black box that has been his responsibility.

The box was placed on the table, then opened in front of everyone.

"Submit a duplicate royal seal to the new king. And we should get the original stamp in no time!" abugn.

Felix nodded. The distinctive carved ring-shaped stamp, directly mounted on the finger.

"Laft the royal flag in the tower!" orders immediately. It would be a sign that the King of the kingdom was in the residence. It is to anticipate the claims of any nation that wants to master the age. As long as there is a king, their country is still there!

A chief of bodyguards came out to carry out the order.

"Sign a message to all the nobles about this news!" king Felix's orders to the old man who had just made him king.

"Okay, Your Majesty," he replied. Quickly a few messages were written in that place.

Meanwhile, King Felix gave instructions to make a super tight guard at his residence. The guards had to make sure that all teleportation lines had been cut off, so that not a single enemy escaped to the top.

"Messages are ready to be sent, Your Majesty!" ujr the man showed all the sheets similar messages that would be rolled up and sent with birds to every noble residence.

"Send also to the neighboring country and my daughter in the Land of the Elves!" his orders.

"Good!" The man again made another note for the neighboring country.

King Felix nodded his head allowing. They again discussed the current situation in the kingdom.

"In our opinion, everything that happened was planned by the Orc king. There's no way Princess Cristal was kidnapped without a plan. They could have guessed, that Prince Glenn would go looking for his daughter if it went missing. That would make His Highness the Crown Prince have to face the enemy alone in the north!"

A chief of bodyguards said what they had discussed earlier. King Felix nodded in understanding.

"Continue!" his orders.

"The Orc King must have guessed that for Prince Glenn's escort, the King would send a large army away with him." The head of the guard paused his sentence.

The other guard continued. "Then that means, the number of soldiers available in the capital is reduced a lot! And they should be able to conquer the palace overnight, before the forces of either Prince Glenn or the Crown Prince return and surround them!"

"Tell Glenn and the Crown Prince about this!" king Felix's Order.

"Well, I'll do it!" a guard stood up and went out.

King Felix looked at the remaining bodyguard's head. "What do you think the Orc King's ultimate goal is to do all this?"

"The Witch's kingdom was already their master. I thought it was a mere coincidence, because they were directly adjacent. But now I doubt that conclusion." A bodyguard said his thoughts.

"Rubber!" the other sambar.

King Felix turned his eyes to the one who had just spoken. "Say!"

"The Orc King must have learned the kinship relationship between the Elves and the Witches. Very close, considering the Madam, uh, the Empress is a descendant of the Witch King. They guessed that by suppressing the Witch Nation, we would instantly react and help."

"Unfortunately, the news of the fall of the kingdom, we only received when the Princess had departed. So they changed plans. Kidnapping Princess Cristal, to accelerate the achievement of the goal." Another guard connected.

"Your analysis is very deep. I'll think of a way to get those Orcs out of here, as soon as possible!" king Felix said.

"This meeting is over. Protect this palace with all your might!" his orders.

The bodyguards returned to the post and passed the new information on to their respective subordinates.

On the upper porch of the new palace, the Madam of the residence tried to hold on and continued to send protective spells to the residence of Prince Glenn. His body was getting older, making him tired faster.

King Felix climbed back into his room and found his wife still standing firmly on the porch. He approached with worry. "Don't force yourself" she whispered softly.

His wife ignored him. The woman was gathering a dense cloud over Glenn's residence so that rain could fall and put out the fire that burned down her son's residence.

Elsewhere, in a hiding place, a young man looked sadly at the smoke rising from the residence of Prince Glenn.

"I should have heard your advice to go straight home!" sorry sad. He can't do anything now. Post teleport controlled by Orcs.

"How's mom doing?" worriedly. The guard can't do anything anymore. He had already checked into the entire city, when Prince Levyn collapsed and tied him to a tree branch on the border of the country with the Magic Forest.

"The whole city is overrun by Orcs. Even the flags in the palace teleport post have been changed!" the guard story.

"Does that mean the country has fallen?" ask Levyn fearfully.
