The Adventure Of Eric (The Rescue of the Elf Princess)

The Adventure Of Eric (The Rescue of the Elf Princess)
2. An ambush at the Border

An hour passed. The horses have started to get tired because they are driven quite fast. Even Cristal who was in the train, repeatedly protested. However, Gilang ignored him. He preferred the safety of the princess, rather than her comfort this time.

"How much longer are we up to the border of the Witch Country?" ask Gilang to the commander of the army.

"A few hours, more or less. But the horses were very tired, because they were driven for more than two hours" he said,

"The sky is dark. There is no time to think about horses. We have to get there on time, just get a break!" resolutely Gilang.

"Good!" The commander went to check the rearguard. Gilang kept an eye on the front.

The small entourage had to pass through a high cliff fissure, before reaching the border of the Witch country. And the cliff began to look faintly from behind the shadow of the dense trees.

"A little while we're up. Maintain speed!" Gilang order.

The guard soldiers were already delighted, when they saw the shadow of the cliff in the distance. It's not far away anymore. And they'll be safe.

A quarter of an hour later, the party managed to reach the borders of the Witch country, with no man's land. All cheering happily. Like just escaped the pinhole

"Are we there, Uncle?" taya Cristal wants to know.

"Yet. We just crossed a dangerous border. Now it's safer, because we're already in the land of the Witch Nation.

The group was still slowly walking up to two hundred meters from the border. However, not a single border guard was seen.

"None of the guards is welcoming, here," Gilang said in surprise. Glenn's family has sent a message that Cristal is coming today.

"Do we need to rest first, or how?" ask the commander of the army to Gilang.

"It's not safe here yet, if there's no army of Witches waiting!" reject Cross.

The commander nodded and continued to take his horse for a walk. It's really just walking. All the horses were exhausted.

Brakk!

The freight train in the back, crashed. His horse lay with a breath. Before long, he's dead. Gilang and the commander of the troops were very surprised to see the incident.

The commander examined the horse's body. He had to convince the heart that before the horse was fine.

Gilang opened the rear carriage filled by one servant. His eyes glared at the situation inside.

"Be careful attack!" yell out loud. He took shelter behind the collapsed carriage, to remove the servant who was covered in blood. His upper arm was hit by a small arrow, until it was invisible to the eye as it flashed.

"Protect train!" command the commander of the troops while driving his horse towards Cristal's carriage. The soldiers of the guard scattered towards the carriage which was now forced to stop.

"Bring the Princess!" gilang's orders to the commander.

"She's got to get to the palace, tonight!" gilang said full of emphasis.

Princess Cristal and the two servants disembarked from the carriage and took refuge from the threat of an invisible arrow in the dimness of the twilight.

"Mr Princess, I must take you to the palace," the commander said.

Cristal looked at his carriage in horror. The commander seemed to know what he was thinking, immediately reported. "We'll just ride the horse. That's a lot faster."

"my stuff is here all ..." said Cristal lirih. She felt affectionate with so much jewelry, accessories and beautiful clothes left in the carriage, if she went on a horse ride.

"Go with Uncle Gilang?" tanyanya doubt.

Three horses were selected, and two soldiers were brought in to accompany the commander to rescue the princess.

Meanwhile, the arrow attacks were back. Because the soldiers had sought shelter, what many had to do was their horses.

The agonizing cries and whistles of the horse added to the horror in Cristal's heart.

"All is ready!" The commander gave a sign to Gilang.

Gilang nodded and coded the staying troops, to retaliate for the attack, so that the commander and Princess Cristal could have a chance to stay away from the ambush.

"According to my instructions," said Gilang with the code. The commander nodded, and prepared.

"One, two, Three!" Gilang shouted loudly. All the defending soldiers, sending arrows in turn, towards the origin of the weapons shot out towards them.

At the same time, the commander of the army and two other soldiers, each of whom hugged a hooded woman behind him, immediately spurred on their horses. Forcing the beast to run away with all his might, to get away from where the carriage and the troops were left behind.

After the counterattack earlier, Gilang did not hear any reaction. The troops he brought were not an arbitrary army. They are very well trained. It is impossible if they are misdirected.

Gilang and the troops were waiting for a counterattack. After quite a while, the place remained extremely quiet, without a single arrow sliding.

"Damn!" Gilang rushed to his feet. "They outwitted us and must have intercepted the Princess and the commander of the army!"

The soldiers were surprised to hear this conclusion. They've been fooled. Immediately ride the horse and chase Gilang like an evil person.

The roar of the horse's steps galloped on the dry ground. Dust scattering. But that little army doesn't care at all. They had to chase the princess and the commander of the army who intended to save themselves.

"From a distance there was already the clinking of a sword. Gilang sped up his horse's run, almost like flying. Up ahead, three soldiers were ganged up against a group of tall and tall Orcs.

The troops immediately stormed into the fight and helped their three men who were already very tired.

The fight is starting to balance. They can hold the same position. When there was an opportunity to get close to the commander, Gilang asked. "Where is the princess?"

The commander was confused. "So behind me!" said wonder.

"Damn!" galang Umpat. He continued to lunge in front of the man whose large body was twice his own cross body. However, the man was fearless.

Princess Cristal is his responsibility. So he should be able to get out of the encirclement and look for the princess around.

As if he could read his mind, the giant Orc continued to squeeze Gilang, not giving him the slightest chance to escape from his sword swing.

"You don't take me for granted! If you still love life, focus on the fight in front of you!" the Orc's taunts heated Gilang's heart.

"The rioters! This is still the land of the Witch Nation! What are you doing here!" shouted Gilang angry.

"It looks like you haven't got the latest news. "The witch palace we've mastered!" terbahak.

"Omong empty! It's only in your dreams!" Gilang jumped high while swinging the sword towards the shoulder of the Orc in front of him.

"If you're fighting, focus. Too much bullshit, can make you stupid!"

Crank up the ground, then clench and trace the height on the tree branch, to then jump back like flying, towards the Orc. His great sword swung with all his energy.

"Abuehhhh ...!" shrill screams of horror, sounded. Gilang circled while holding the handle of the sword firmly so as not to fall. Because, Orcs underneath it swirled in an uncertain direction. Gilang's sword stuck to his nape.
