The Adventure Of Eric (The Rescue of the Elf Princess)
36. New Lesson

The sump water scrolls slid rapidly towards them. Luckily the five people could dodge and fly higher so as not to be swept away by the swift flow of the river.

Unbelieving the small, clear, and calm river suddenly turned quickly wild. A huge stone cauldron smashed into everything he was going through.

They look upstream. "I don't see any cloudiness that might be an indication that it's raining heavily up there, which could cause this little river to flood!" said Robert.

"Then what is the cause of this large flow of water?" ask Arjun wonder.

The originally clear small river has now turned brownish color. Because the mud on the bottom of the river is also rolled up. The waterfall that was beautiful, now turned terrible, because it was accompanied by the fall of rocks.

"I can't imagine if anyone was bathing under that waterfall." Eric's Gel.

"Gruesome!" timpal Hakon's.

"Let's look over there. I wonder what caused this flood." Eric darted first, without waiting for the approval of his teammates.

"Hey, wait!" call Arjun.

"This child ...." Robert shook his head. However, they soon followed as well.

The stream was quite long and far from where they had originally been. However, the farther away, the atmosphere became more and more different. The trees are starting to show. Even in some places it looks pretty heavy.

Eric slowed his flight and spun over a sizable, deep basin of water. The place was churning like boiling water in a pot.

The five Light Nations were closing their noses. There was a very sharp smell emerging from the surface of the water.

"It's methane gas" Dimas said.

"Very dangerous!" robert Timpal.

"That means there's a gas source under this stream of water. That's what keeps the water rolling!" clear Dimas.

Eric has flown even further. "Here the flow of the river is calm and it looks like I saw a water creature!" Eric spoke through their minds.

"That means, the river flow is contaminated after passing through this basin." Arjun concluded.

"Then, where did the big rocks brought by the water come from?" ask Hakon still doesn't understand.

However, Dimas did not need to explain this. In front of their eyes, the basin of water suddenly churned even stronger than before.

Some rocks were thrown out of the water. Small stones can even fall on the edge and fill it with a pile of stones. However, the bigger one fell back in the water ripples the longer the bigger the ripple.

"Revelation!" Robert pulled Hakon too close to the surface of the water.

They could see how the water was getting stronger and firmer. Then it was blown up like it was blown up. Then a large amount of water and rocks rolled back downstream.

"It turns out like this. It doesn't need rain upstream, this is it." Arjun shook his head.

"I still don't understand why rocks and water explode!" mummy Hakon.

"Not exploded," Dimas straightened.

"Below there is a gas source. If the exit hole was not blocked, then he would come out and make ripples like this alone. However, it seemed that at the bottom of this basin was filled with stones. So sometimes the hole to remove the gas is clogged. It takes a strong push for the gas to come out smoothly. That's the big burst you called the explosion." Dimas explained at length.

"Oh .. I get it now." Hakon nodded in satisfaction. He learned a new lesson that day.

"Gaes .. can you help me now?" Eric called his friends through his mind.

The four people looked upstream, where Eric went to check first. They soon caught up with him.

"Where are you?" ask Robert. They didn't see Eric around the river.

"My feet are entangled with water plants. And he pulled me to the bottom of the river! Help me!" obviously Eric.

"Use your strength!" robert's orders.

"The ancestors' souls are angry. He won't help me at all!" obviously Eric again.

Four of his friends are looking for where Eris disappeared. The entire surface of the river was carefully examined.

"Here the surface of the water is a little murky!" Dimas called his friends.

"Gear!" call Arjun. They patted and messed with the water in that part, until the water really became cloudy.

"Quick search! Or he could drown!" Hakon panic.

He pointed his hand towards the place he suspected. Twist it several times in the air, then re-direct it to the sand and mud at the bottom of the river. Slowly he pulled his hands and the water plants were uprooted from the riverbed. All thrown to the river side. There was no Eric there.

"Where are you?" ask Hakon. No more answers from Eric.

Arjun and Robert did the same thing, pulling whatever was under the river's mud piles.

Dimas shook his head unhappily. He used his strength to resist the flow of water, until the bottom of the river receded slowly.

Arjun can't wait to see that. He let out a blue flame from his palm and directly aimed all over the surface of the river. The place was dry for a moment. Some dead fish are roasted.

Hakon and Robert exerted their ability to dismantle the dried up mud soil. The ground began to crack here and there, then it was dismantled and thrown to the edge.

"I saw it!" Arjun pointed under the dry layer of mud.

Hakon and Robert increasingly eager to dismantle the land to form a mini crater.

"Quick! This water flow is more and more and will go in there again!" Dimas warned.

He tried to bend the water to the right and left of the river. But, the bottom of the river is the lowest surface. In the end, all the water will flow back into the river.

"Many roots hold this soil until it is difficult to disassemble. Hold for a second!" said Robert.

"Eric! Did you hear me?" call Hakon worried. But there is no answer.
