The Adventure Of Eric (The Rescue of the Elf Princess)

The Adventure Of Eric (The Rescue of the Elf Princess)
17. Draw up a Plan

Glenn remained silent. If the capital had been controlled, then those Orcs would have been very numerous there. Hundreds of? A thousand? His head shakes unconsciously.

"To get a better result, you should work with the Crown Prince" he said.

"Alright, we will communicate with His Highness the Crown Prince," the commander of the force replied immediately.

"Do and rest while waiting for the crown prince's instructions" Glenn suggested.

His heart was very agitated, between wanting to return or continue looking for his daughter. If he returns, it is feared, Cristal will be used as a negotiating tool. If he continued the search, then likely, his absence would reduce the solidity of the troops.

"Damn!" he grumbled furiously. "The Orcs have calculated every step we take!" said emotion.

The commanders of the army were getting tense. "That means, whatever movement we're in right now, they've got a way to counter it!" one commander's timpal.

Glenn nodded."Find a way the orcs didn't expect!" his suggestion.

I'll send a message to the Crown Prince and your suspicion earlier" said one of the troops.

"Hmmm!" Only Deheman came out of Glenn's mouth. He was also thinking about how to find his daughter as quickly as possible, so as not to become a negotiating tool that could weaken the kingdom's position. However, they still had not found any trace of the girl.

"If we return by passing through no man's land, there is a possibility that they have set a trap there" murmured one of them.

"Maybe that's why when we pass through that place, it can be smooth and barrier-free. They deliberately kept us away from there, so that they could easily break into our borders and continue onward to the capital!" others concluded. They are angry because they feel they have been fooled.

"Where are we going to go back?" ask the others.

"The only way is to cross the borders of the Elves!" answer the other.

"I think that's the best route!" Glenn nodded in agreement. "You can ask them to show you a direct path to our capital city. Maybe it could be a shock effect for the Orcs, when you appear suddenly before your eyes, not from the might of the Immortality Land!"

"Good! We just do it like that. Because, if they enter through the No Man's Land, then they must change the guards in. Our borders with their people!"

"That's what happened to Princess Cristal's entourage. The border post of the Witches, they occupied after defeating the owner." Others concluded.

They rested in agitation that night. Waiting for the Crown Prince's instructions, in order to be able to enter the city simultaneously to shock the Orcs.

"There is a message from His Majesty!" the voice of the guard outside the tent.

"Bring in!" The Crown Prince said impatiently. He was discussing the plan with the commanders of the troops in his tent.

The bodyguard came in with a bird carrying a message. The Crown Prince's assistant took the message swiftly and returned the bird to the bodyguards to feed and drink.

The commanders of the troops waited for the Crown Prince to read the message. They can't wait for the latest news from the capital.

"This is a message from the troops who went to find Princess Cristal."

They listened attentively, what Prince Glenn's plan was.

"They said, Prince Glenn will go with his personal bodyguard alone to look for Cristal. Others were asked to return to the capital. But it has to coordinate with us in order to carry out a joint attack."

A little noise was heard in the tent. Some agree with the plan, some have less fun because Prince Glenn is more concerned with his daughter than the interests of the capital.

"Can I continue?" The Crown Prince stared intently. The commanders were silent and listening.

"Prince Glenn advocated seeking the unexpected path. Which the Orcs probably wouldn't have anticipated!" The Crown Prince had finished reading the message. He looked at all the commanders.

"Do you have any suggestions that are a little different from the usual?" tanyakanya.

We should walk before morning, so as to surprise the sleeping Orcs!" someone's advice.

"We can't go back over the main line! They must have prepared for the obstacles there!" connect the other.

"Then, where's it going? Any advice?" The Crown Prince chased.

"Maybe it could pass my village. It was not a common path, as it was very difficult to do!" the command of the troops that Glenn had left behind gave an idea.

"Where's it?" ask the Crown Prince enthusiastically.

"Through the path on the cliff behind the waterfall, the mountain next to the red forest!" inexplicably.

"How do you know there's a way behind that waterfall?" ask one of the commanders.

"Because I'm a man from that village. The village is so remote that it is often invisible to outsiders" he replied.

"It's translucent directly into the capital?" ask the crown prince.

The man shook his head. "We usually come out through a small forest bordering the magic forest" he replied.

"It's not too far from the city. And we're right up close to Prince Glenn's residence!" Someone added consideration.

"How long is the mileage to get there?" The crown prince was interested.

"Because of the heavy terrain, the distance will be longer. You can't use the train. We must also lead horses through it." The commander gave the Crown Prince an estimate of the situation.

"If we walk in the morning constantly, we can arrive in the afternoon" he concluded.

"That means we can't surprise those Orcs." the others disagreed.

"Let me think." The Crown Prince calmed his subordinates.

"Oh yes, please first inform the Blue Cucaci country, the conditions here. Ask them to be careful. Orcs might get in there through this place if we leave camp!" The Crown Prince gave orders to his assistant.

"I prepared the message." The man immediately took the paper and wrote.

"In my opinion, we better split the team in half. Partly through the red forest, part way from the butterfly village. So, we can surprise them from two places. And one more place, executed by Princess Cristal's search force. I'm sure, it'll be a big surprise for the Orcs!"

The Crown Prince made his decision. The commanders nodded and agreed. They will prepare the troops to clear the place, before dawn arrives.

"What about the villagers here?" ask one of the commanders doubtfully.

The Crown Prince was silent for a moment. "Leave twenty people to keep the citizens safe!" break it with a heavy heart.

"Tell Prince Glenn's troops about this decision. Say, we're going to detonate a beacon of light to signal the start of a simultaneous attack tomorrow afternoon!"

"good. I'll make the message. The assistant handed in a previous message to be corrected.

"Guards! Send this message to the country of the Blue Dwarves!"

"Okay, Your Majesty," the bodyguard replied quickly.

"We must prepare and gather energy for the trip tomorrow morning!" crown Prince closes the meeting. All the commanders of the army disbanded.

"This is your message, Your Majesty." His assistant handed him a message paper to correct.

"Send!" his orders.

"Good!" the assistant replied before exiting the tent.

"Hopefully tomorrow's attack can turn things around!" please Crown Prince. He was very worried about imagining his parents, wife and sisters in the palace now controlled by the Orcs.
