The Adventure Of Eric (The Rescue of the Elf Princess)
Chapter 62. The Chief of the Beiduin

Eric just smiled. They lowered their horses to the rocky surface, about fifty meters from the edge of the Beiduin village. It does not seem suitable to call the collection of several houses that are far apart as a city.

Dimas soon followed. “Do you guys stay here?” tanyakanya.

“Yes. We stay here,” replied Hasheem.

“Come, we should see your father,” ask Dimas.

“How about the others?” asked Hasheem doubtfully.

“Do they not know the way home?” ask Eric. He's in awe now.

“Tentau only know. But---”

“If they know the way, then all will be well. But free I brought you quickly if you delay seeing your father!” eric said again.

“Good. Come!” Hasheem pounded his horse and crossed the village boundary quickly. He went to a tent that was propped up in wood and covered with sheepskin that connected to each other.

“Hasheem back!” shout someone happily.

The man got off the horse, followed by Eric and Dimas. They followed him in to see his father.

“Dad!”

Hasheem approached where his father was laid. The old man looked weak. Dimas is moving fast. A stethoscope was in his hand.

“Tell me what she's been through!” said Dimas. He was unaware of how Hasheem and some of the men's family members were surprised to see Dimas scribbling a little piece of clothing on his father's chest and sticking a tool he was not familiar with at all.

“He's a doctor at our place.

“Doctor?” hasheem asked, not understanding.

“Maybe you call him a healer here. But a little different way of treatment.”

“Oh, thank goodness you found the healer, Hasheem.” An older woman from Hasheem rubbed her wet eyes, with a scarf on her shoulders.

Hasheen said nothing. He noticed Dimas who was checking in a strange way. What makes it even more astonished are foreign tools that can suddenly come out just like that in the palm of the man's hand. Out of nowhere, Hasheem doesn't know. He'll ask that later.

“Tell me, what he has experienced!” this time Dimas' voice sounded serious.

Eric's approaching. “Is the condition worrisome?”

“Ya!”

“My father fought first. Previously there was a healer who would come here to help him through difficult times. But it's been a long time, since we received word that the healer was killed for helping to save her burning father-in-law inside the house.”

“That's Yasmeen's husband!” comments Dimas.

“Ah, yes, I think his wife is named Yasmeen. But, how do you know?” Hasheem astonishment.

“Because we came from where he was and helped his burning mother. From him also we were told about your village and wall--”

Hasheem stopped Eric. He shook his head, asking Eric not to talk about it. Eric nodded in understanding.

“So, can my father still be saved?” asked Hasheem who saw Dimas again taking out something in his hand. Eric helped lift the old man's body, so that immortal water could enter his mouth. Only a little water was successfully consumed. The rest flowed out from the corner of his tightly clenched lips.

Eric had no choice but to help. His hands were placed on the crowns of Hasheem's father. Pressed tight so Hasheem doesn't have to look at the other oddities that come out of Eric's hands.

Seeing the man's mouth slightly open at Eric's efforts, Dimas deftly stuffed the immortal water into the man's mouth.

“Is that medicinal water? Let me help!” Hasheem could see the difficulty Dimas had to hold onto the place of water and keep the tool in his hand remained on his father's chest.

Hasheem could see faint yellow and blue rays of light refracting from behind Eric's palm clinging to his father's head. He doesn't know what it is. And I don't want to know. Seeing the two foreigners working seriously, he knew that his father's condition was very serious.

Dimas raised his face towards Eric. He's suffering from a severe appendix! Others need another check. Dimas asked for approval. Hasheem also set his hopes on the young man. Then Eric nodded.

“Take all your family out of the tent. No one can see what's going on here!” eric said firmly.

Hasheem saw the seriousness of the mimic of the two foreign guests. He turned around and gave the order.

“Laila, get everyone out of this tent and no one can come in, until I allow!” his orders.

The older woman was surprised. “But ...”

“Do now!” assert Hasheem and turn around again. That is, anyone must follow his orders. Laila went and took all the children out of the tent. The place was silent, except outside, it sounded prickly.

Dimas took out his operating equipment. Jason and Aila suddenly appear, surprising Hasheem.

“Hasheem, focus!” Dimas snapped his finger to attract Hasheem. The man looked back at Dimas.

“Your father is sick here. My guess is appendicitis pain. I don't know how long this thing's been ignored, and it's going to be as bad as the consequences. It's magical to see it still survive until now!”

“Yes, his stomach got hit by another tribal weapon during the fight. Looks like a stump gun, so it doesn't cause scars. But the pain can't be cured!” hasheem.

Aila and Eric were already in his position. Jason's got operating equipment ready for Dimas. Including drugs and anesthesia.

Dimas is moving fast. He performed local anesthesia and passed it on to Eric and Aila to help relieve the other pain. A small, sharp knife quickly scratched Hasheem's father's stomach, making him groan and close his eyes for a moment.

“Lap!” said Dimas. But Hasheem didn't give her the white gauze she was holding.

“Hasheem!” reprimand Dimas. “We must work together. This has to be done quickly, your father is already helpless!” dimas said firmly. HAsheem nodded in understanding.

Wipe here and whenever blood comes out!” dimas Message.

“Ya.” Hasheem nodded he had to be strong, so that his father could be helped by the healers of this foreign land.

Outside, the rest of the group had already arrived. Some of them wanted to see the chief, but were banned by Laila.

“Are you guys doing something?” ask Robert to Eric's mind.

“Yes. Dimas is doing appendectomy!” Don't let anyone in!” Eric's orders.

Robert tells Arjun and Hakon what happened. Now they veil in front of the tent, blocking anyone who comes near.

“Why are you guys sitting here?” ask other tribesmen.

Guarding tent. Didn't it say that no one can enter unless allowed by Hasheem!” said Robert.

Nobody's arguing anymore. All members of the tribe continued their activities after that long journey. Laila brought three cups of tea to Robert, Arjun and Hakon who turned out to be Hasheem's guests.

Late in the afternoon, Hasheem came out of the tent. His face was very pale. Laila found him soon. “How?” tanya worry.

“Let father rest after his treatment. And prepare a banquet for these guests. They have saved our father!” said.

“Let me see first!” Laila insisted.

Hasheem held his hand. The physician inside was resting and watching over the father. You prepare food. They are so exhausted and out of steam!” said firmly.

“Good ...” Laila nodded obediently. He immediately went to prepare the food that he had actually made since the guests had come.

“Did Doctor Dimas successfully treat your father?” robert asked as Hasheem sat in front of the tent with his three foreign guests.

“A terrible treatment and the first time I saw it,” Hasheem said.
