THE BALLERINA SECRET LOVE

THE BALLERINA SECRET LOVE
Part 13's. Mommy Home

"Oh yeah, he told me he wanted to visit Mom. He wanted to see me, but my rehearsal was so dense that I couldn't meet him." Ashley said he was only a few days in NYC because of the opening of a new club that needed his presence.

"What's his job now? You know he looks, prosperous." I smiled, Ashley is indeed prosperous, she has said many times I should go with her.

"He's now a successful pole dancer."

"Pole dancer? Whoa..." It was indeed a 'wow' profession, but she was right to be just a dancer even though she worked in such an environment, she never humbled herself, like selling herself.

"Yes pole dancer." My friend was dancing too, I knew him when we were both in a children's ballet group in LA, but he's not an idealist like me who stays on the classical ballet track despite his small salary and checking work hours.

He is on a contemporary path even on a path that others rarely take. The salary and tips are big, much bigger than me many times over, he said I was stupid to stay there, the principal's salary was nothing compared to his salary and tips.

I was actually considering his offer, but I was waiting for the chance of promotion to principal, however I've been breathing in this art for most of my life, leaving it not an easy choice. Like classical music it has permeated my head and made me have to hear it every day like an opium.

"Pole dancer, that seems challenging. But it sounds a little risky, it's a nightclub job. It seems like a lot of bad people are there." I grimaced at Mom's words.

"Wicked people are everywhere, it depends whether we want to get involved with them or not." Being involved with a donor who only thinks you're a friend is also one example of a bad thing.

"It just doesn't feel right." I stopped telling her that if I couldn't get a principal position I would consider accepting Ashley's offer. If I did I'd say I moved to another ballet company.

"That's perfectly fine when we don't feel like it's a burden. Asley liked it."

"Hmm yeah you're right just Mom doesn't like the place maybe. Never mind, Mom wants to see the photos of your stage, you already have no. Eat first and here's your cake." We're ending the talk about Ashley.

"How's your day off." He knew we were off on Monday. I saw the message appear in the notification and had no intention of replying to it quickly.

He's in need of a new friend, I don't intend to respond. In two hours I just answered.

"Sir Francoise, yes I'm at my mother's house."

"You seem to be very close to your mother." He immediately replied to her.

"Yes, he's the only old man. Obviously I'm close to him."

"Is that what it looks like, your father's dead?"

"My mom is divorced." I just answered briefly.

"It must be heavy for you."

"I'm used to it."

No, I'm not saying men are all bad, just maybe Mom and Dad don't fit in, Dad has other priorities, I've learned for a long time that even though my dad doesn't take me as a priority but Mom puts me above everything else, I'm lucky to have the best Mom, even if I'm unlucky with Dad.

Think of it as a life that is not always perfect.
