Ch.394 - The Illusory Fog Forest
Xiang Shin floated above the clouds, just above the area that was his destination.
Xiang Shin looked down where there was a thick fog that could even block his vision from penetrating into the fog.
If it was an ordinary fog, it would absolutely not obstruct Xiang Shin's view as thick as any of the fog. But Xiang Shin could not look inside which showed that the fog was no ordinary mist.
This was the area where the Illusory Butterflies were located, the fog was something that the illusory Butterflies naturally produced.
Illusion Butterflies were rare Spirit Beasts yet they were not powerful at all. Unlike the Spirit Beasts in general who possessed extraordinary body resistance, the Illusory Butterflies had bodies that were so fragile that they utilized this illusory fog as their defense.
What makes the Illusory Butterfly special? Illusory Butterflies have the privilege that they really like to cultivate herbs.
The illusory fog they naturally produced not only served to protect them from enemies but could also accelerate the growth of herbs and strengthen their efficacy.
“This illusion fog is so powerful that even I who was far up here could also be affected if I did not find a defense. What else if I go in, I don't know what kind of illusion I will see,” Xiang Shin muttered inwardly, “definitely this illusory fog has accumulated over the time of hundreds of thousands or even millions of years to produce a very strong effect.”
“But of course there is no way to steal herbs in there,” Xiang Shin smiled thinly then flicked his hand, “I will count on you, Xuan.”
Xuan as usual was just silent with a flat expression.
“Xuan, you can change to mimic the shape of the Illusory Butterfly right?”
Without waiting for the order, Xuan's body began to change. Instead of changing more precisely in say there are some additions in his body that is a pair of butterfly wings with two curved antennae on his head. Moreover, Xuan's clothes had also become foliage.
“From the so-called Spirit Beast, it is more suitable to be called the Butterfly Fairy,” Xiang Shin stroked his chin looking at Xuan's new appearance.
“Alright then I will begin,” Xiang Shin touched Xuan's head, dividing his soul consciousness into Xuan's body until he can control Xuan completely.
Xiang Shin could see from the point of view of his eyes as well as Xuan's point of view. He can see both directions at once.
Despite already dividing his consciousness, Xiang Shin had absolutely no difficulty in controlling two bodies at once.
Xiang Shin sat cross-legged on the clouds then his self that could be said to be inside Xuan shot into the illusionary fog.
Inside, Xiang Shin gathered the aura from the Illusory Butterfly so that the Illusory Butterflies would not suspect him.
Despite having entered into the illusionary fog, Xiang Shin still had difficulty in looking around, his visibility was only a few meters away so for now he did not move more.
Xuan's body was adaptable so he just stayed waiting until where Xuan's body could adapt to his current place.
In just a few minutes, Xiang Shin's view distance was already several kilometers. Now he dared to move.
When Xiang Shin finally saw the bottom of this area of the illusionary mist forest, he was struck by the sheer number of herbs in this place. There was not a single corner of empty land, everything was filled with herbs.
“Excellent, this is now I am in the forest fringe area but it has so many herbs. What about those that are much deeper? Maybe I can find a Mythical Lord level herb or even an Immortal Overlord,” Xiang Shin smiled widely, “then now it is better to take all these herbs!”
Xiang Shin began to harvest all the herbs in sight. Of course, he only harvested mature herbs. Except for the immature herbs, everything was taken by Xiang Shin without exception.
This illusory fog forest was vast and faithful inches of land contained herbs. So Xiang Shin could get a big harvest. What a great fortune, when he had just entered the secret realm.
“Given the Illusory Butterfly is a weak Spirit Beast, the strongest among them should be at the level of an Immortal Lord or could even be lower. So I don't have to worry about anything. After all I used Xuan's body which was not affected by the illusion of not even being able to feel pain.”
With the body Xuan was currently using, Xiang Shin was not afraid of any danger within this Illusory Mist Forest
