Ch.555 - Zhang Chun's
The Spirit Beasts guarding the Dimensional Beast gate was startled by the arrival of Xiao Zhou who was the Divine Beast Hydra.
Suddenly a powerful aura burst forth from behind, shocking the Spirit Beast that was before Xiao Zhou.
“It.. Other hydra?” Xiao Zhou muttered inwardly.

Xiao Zhou gasped at the identity of the tiger before him.

Zhang Chun began to explain if the Dimension Beast was divided into 4 regions with each region controlled by one Divine Beast race.
The West was ruled by the White Tiger Race. The Northern Territory was ruled by the Green Tortoise Race. The Southern Region was controlled by the Phoenix Race and the last was the Eastern Region was controlled by the Dragon race.
Except for the Western Region and the Northern Region, the territories of the Dragon and Phoenix races were divided again. The Dragon Race was differentiated based on the strength they controlled such as the elemental ruler and others, but still they had one leader namely the Dragon God, Shen Long.
While for the ruling Phoenix race in the Southern Region were the Ice Phoenix and the Fire Phoenix. But recently word spread that they have made an alliance.
Spirit Beasts lived in suitable territories based on their type. The Western Region was very suitable for Spirit Beasts the type of ferocious beasts commonly found in the forest. The Northern Region was suitable for Spirit Beasts that had habitats in the water. The Southern Region was suitable for winged Spirit Beasts. The Eastern Region was suitable for Spirit Beasts of snake and reptile type.
Hydra itself belongs to the dragon type so they live in the eastern region.
Since the first time Hydra was hostile to the 2 Spirit Beast races, namely Falak Snake and Uroboros Snake. Those two races were indeed not Divine Beasts but their strength could be matched.
Moreover the Spirit Beast's breeding ability was easier than Divine Beasts so they were superior in terms of numbers.
The two races cooperated and had devious thoughts, would not hesitate to sacrifice their lives if they could bring more enemies along.
Continued warfare is making Hydra's population less and less. Because they are also difficult to breed making their numbers continue to decrease.
Until after the demons started the chaos, Shen Long gave orders for the Spirit Beasts or Divine Beasts in the Eastern region to temporarily stop the war due to the threat of the Devils.

After the war, Hydra left only 10 of them, including Zhang Chun.
Zhang Chun as the leader of the Hydra race is now assigned to be the leader in guarding the east gate.
