Ch.497 - Retaliation
“Are you really human?” Su Chi frowned.
“Do I look like any other creature in your eyes?”
With the current situation, Qin Qiaoyu would not be able to bring out his full strength. At most he could only be on par with most late stage Demi-Gods. If not for the resilience of the Xuan body he possessed, Qin Qiaoyu would have already been eliminated in the third round earlier.
Qin Qiaoyu was not at all afraid of any attack except the attack from the Cosmic Orb.
Qin Qiaoyu took out his sword, he walked leisurely towards Su Chi with the tip of the sword eye making a line in the arena.
Seeing Qin Qiaoyu's gaze somehow made Su Chi feel a pressure of its own.
“Cih! I can't believe he's completely immune to all attacks!” Su Chi returned at high speed.
When he had slashed half the distance, he slashed his sword, unleashing waves of cold energy that froze anything he passed, even the air.
The attack hit Qin Qiaoyu who was not seen trying to dodge, making the girl now freeze inside the ice crystal.
The ice crystal instantly emitted a powerful energy then let out a loud explosion.
Su Chi stayed in place, staring towards the puff of explosive smoke. Suddenly a wave of cold energy came out from the smoke. Su Chi swiftly repelled the attack.
“He's alive. Though he received my attack in a landslide, how could it be?”
Su Chi was further startled as the puff of smoke disappeared revealing Qin Qiaoyu who was completely unharmed.
Qin Qiaoyu put up the horses then made a piercing motion. A gigantic sword-shaped energy radiance shot out.
Su Chi repelled the attack using his sword.
“The attack is not too strong, the troublesome one is the endurance of his body.”
Su Chi darted forward, as did Qin Qiaoyu. The two also fought sword attacks at close range.
Qin Qiaoyu used Xiang Shin's fighting style which focused in attack power and high reflexes. He couldn't possibly use the fighting style of the Snow Goddess Palace because Su Chi could suspect him later.
Time and again Qin Qiaoyu was hit by Su Chi's attacks but he did not get the slightest injury.
Every attack of Qin Qiaoyu he maximized in strength but still it was not enough to urge the opponent. His speed was also still below Su Chi.
All the spectators except for Xiang Shin's group, frowned at the fight. They were confused as to why Qin Qiaoyu was not injured despite being hit by the attacks many times.
For the umpteenth time, Su Chi landed a kick that made Qin Qiaoyu fall to the ground.
Su Chi launched a further attack. It created thousands of ice crystals that shot towards the opponent.
All the ice crystals hit Qin Qiaoyu in a crushing manner.
Su Chi was not at all surprised to see Qin Qiaoyu was still unharmed. He landed not far from his newly risen opponent.
“Show your real face!” Su Chi brandished his sword.
“What do you mean?” Qin Qiaoyu still looked calm even though he was actually surprised.
Did Su Chi already know of his disguise? It was impossible since he had not brought out any techniques from the Snow Goddess Palace at all.
“I'm sure you're not human. You are also definitely a True God realm cultivator who uses certain techniques to disguise cultivation. If not then there's no way you're not hurt by my attack.”
Qin Qiaoyu was a little relieved that Su Chi was completely unaware of it.
“I've passed the examination before entering the tournament. Besides here there are 3 seniors who are the strongest cultivators of the Human Dimension, do you want to say they are stupid so that they will be fooled by the trick of disguising cultivation?”
Qin Qiaoyu shook his sword, unleashing a crescent-shaped cold energy that split the ground through.
Su Chi clucked in annoyance then repelled the attack as usual.
“If he really can't get hurt then sooner or later I will lose because of running out of energy.” Su Chi muttered in his heart.
The fight continues again. The hours that passed still did not look like anyone would win. Qin Qiaoyu was starting to be able to give Su Chi some attacks.
Maybe this fight is the longest in this tournament because it has been 2 days, there is still no winner. The spectators were already getting bored and shouted for one of them to give up.
But it was clearly impossible for anyone to give up as long as they had not felt defeated yet.
Su Chi started getting weaker and weaker, he continued to get injuries from Qin Qiaoyu. The energy continues to drain.
Now it's starting to look who will calm this fight.
