The Price is an HONOR

The Price is an HONOR
LEAVE GAZA

The morning sun peeked in through a small crack in Rain's room. Raina Zemira, a 21-year-old girl who is studying at a famous university in Jakarta.

Rain still reluctantly opened his eyes that felt heavy. His eyes were swollen from crying all night. Salma said, the mother of Gaza is still clearly imprinted on Rain.

"Leave Gaza, break off your engagement. Only you can do this. Gaza always refuses when I ask to leave you." Like lightning in a hole. It was never imagined in the mind of Rain if the word would be thrown from the mouth of the woman he had considered his own parents. It sounds like an order, not a request.

"I'm sorry Rain aunt, Rain can't. Gaza is Rain's only life support. It would be very unfair for him if Rain broke off this engagement unilaterally."

Salma turned her face the other way. His decision was unanimous, he did not want to hesitate again because of pity on Rain.

"Do you think this is fair to our family? Gaza's father was an official. What would people say if we had a convicted homicide?" Salma also never thought that her son's engagement with Rain would end like this. In the past, she came with the family to propose Rain, even holding a luxurious engagement event. Unfortunately due to one circumstance, he had to do this.

"But Rain and Gaza love each other aunty." Rain is still trying to maintain his ties with Gaza. He loves Gaza. And when things are going down like this, Gaz is the only hope.

"I don't hate you Rain. I just don't want my family to get blasphemy for messing with inmates. Understand our position Rain." Salma grabbed Rain's hands and held them. "Take this as a request. All this time my aunt and family loved you like a child. So auntie please, don't be selfish this time. Please release Gaza. Break up your engagement."

Those words became a cover before Salma left Rain's house.

Rain could not hold back his tears. Last night was like a nightmare for him. Remembering Gaza's face made her chest tight. I can't help it if I have to break up with that guy. The perfect man is always called in prayer. The man he wanted more than anything as his priest.

Ryuga Al Gazali is called Gaza, a 27-year-old who is Rain's first love. She is currently studying S2 in London. Gaza earns S2 student duty from the company he works for. Gaza is Rain's fiancee. They dated 3 years ago and decided to get engaged 6 months ago.

At first, their families supported each other, but because of a disaster all became different. Rain's father was jailed 1 month ago for murder.

Rain opened his cell phone, there's been a lot of unanswered shuffling from Gaza since last night.

"I'm sorry Ga, it looks like our relationship has to end. I don't want to make your family into gossip. True, your mother said, you deserve a better woman than me, especially her family background. An inmate's son like me, doesn't deserve to be with you.

Rain opened the window of his room. Here he is now. In a minimalist one-story house measuring 6x10 meters. There is no more old house. Rain had already sold it because he needed a lot of money to escort his father's case and his sister's hospital fees.

Rain costs a lot to hire a lawyer. He wants his father to get as light a punishment as possible. He couldn't bear to see his father's old age run out behind bars.

Not wanting to dissolve in sadness, Rain immediately moved and prepared for the campus. Today he has an appointment with the supervisor. Rain must finish his thesis immediately in order to graduate and get a job.

Rain realized his life was no longer what it used to be. His father's mansion and building shop are already sold out.

Now that Rain is alone, she must fight to support herself and find a fee for her brother who is still in a hospital coma.

It all started with a terrible accident that took his mother's life and put his sister in a coma in the hospital.

It was the day that Rain and his family were waiting for. His parents' anniversary. They made a reservation at a fancy restaurant.

"Dad's happy anniversary, Mother." Rain kissed his parents' cheeks. Not to forget he and Alan prepared gifts for his parents.

"It's a gift from Alan and Mrs Rain Bun. May Father and Mother like it." Alan said as he glanced at Rain.

Rani shed tears when she saw a gift from her son. A beautiful golden Koran.

"At first we were confused about what gift to give. But considering Father and Mother always teach every dawn. So Rain da Alan decided to buy the Koran."

"Thank you dear, the card is very useful for us" said Teguh the father.

"You and Alan should support and encourage each other. Father and Mother will not always be there for you."

"Don't you say Bun, we'll always be together." Rain hugged the Mother.

"Alan will always take care of Brother Rain and Mother" said Alan.

Everything was going well, until when they came home, it was raining very hard. Minimal visibility made the car driven by his father collide with a container of sembako carrier.

His mother died on the spot. His younger brother Alan was seriously injured and in a coma. Luckily Rain and the father were only lightly injured.

Alan was in a coma due to damage to his head. It's been three months since Alan's coma. And not a few costs that must be incurred for Alan's treatment. All three of his father's shops were sold for Alan's treatment.

...----------------...

Rain walked towards the lecturer's room. He was more comfortable looking down than greeting his friend. The rain is now very different from the one that used to be. No more cheerful laughter that always adorns her beautiful face. Rain turned into an introverted girl.

All was not his will, but more on trying to distance himself from the wound. All his friends seemed to be racing to shake him. Rain preferred to shut himself down rather than hear all the gossip directed at him.

"Hi Rain." said Maya, Rain's only friend. Only Maya was left by his side when everyone was away from him.

For Rain, only Maya and Gaza exchange stories. Despite all these trials, Rain is still grateful that Gaza has not abandoned him.

But it doesn't seem to be for now. He was forced to part with Gaza the man he loved so much.

"Would you like to see Mr Jarwo?"

"Yes May, I have to finish the thesis immediately. I have to graduate and work."

"Hopefully your thesis is fine Rain."

"Thank you, May."

"How's Alan doing?"

"It's still May."

"Please Rain, I'm sure Alan will wake up one day."

"Thank you, May, I have to go. Mr. Jarwo is waiting for me."
