"For Mr." Sapa Rain who just entered Sean's workspace.
"Morning."
Rain placed his resignation letter on Sean's desk. I don't know how many times Rain intends to resign from the company.
"So you want to resign?"
"Yes sir."
"What did Gaza tell you?"
"No, it's my own will."
Sean ripped Rain's resignation letter and dumped it in the trash. Rain sighed. He felt that Sean had always done things to hold himself back from working.
"I am refusing your resignation. We are having a lot of new projects. I don't want you to just raise your hand. You can't be this way."
"Sorry, I know that. But again I'm sorry, I can't work. Excuse me first."
"Wait." Sean shouted before Rain walked out of his room.
"Do you know the consequences if you dare to challenge me? I'll tell you about that night in Gaza. And I'm sure Gaza will leave you that very second" Sean threatened.
Rain trembled while squeezing the end of his skirt. This is what he fears the most. He is afraid that Gaza will leave him because of this problem.
"Rethink Rain. I gave you an hour to think. I have proof Rain, do you remember the deal you signed? That deal I'll send to Gaza and your father's in prison." Rain's body grew weak to hear him. He's holding on to the doorknob. He felt stupid why he wanted to be asked to sign the ridiculous agreement.
"You can imagine for yourself how the two of them reacted. And father? I don't know how she felt when she found out her daughter sold her honor for 1 billion. He was willing to kill and go to prison to save his daughter's honor. And it turns out that the honor he protected that would kill people was only worth 1 billion." Threaten Sean with a smirk smile.
Rain's tears trickled down imagining that his father knew of this. His father would be very disappointed.
Rain turned his body to face Sean. "What is your purpose in doing this to me? what's my fault? Why are you leaving this on me. I was tired of being haunted by the guilt of that night. I just want to get away from you and bury everything. I want to open a new leaf with no shadow of what happened that night."
"Unfortunately I won't let you do that. I won't let you forget that night forever."
"But what's the reason?" Rain is really sick.
"You don't need to know why."
"What does this have to do with Gaza? I feel like you guys have problems in the past." Rain was not stupid, he could guess if there was a problem between the two of them.
It has to do with Gaza. But that's the second reason. The main reason is because I love you, inner Sean.
"Here Rain, go back to your desk. Forget about resigning or you know the consequences."
"You can't threaten me like this. What we did that night was just a sale and purchase transaction. I am a seller and you are a buyer. It should be after all that is done, we have no more business. We both get the same thing we want. Same with buying food at the store. Once you pay and feel full, you have nothing to do with the seller."
"Of course there is, what if I feel addicted to the food in the stall. I'll definitely be back to dealing with that seller."
"I'm not going to force that seller to sell. But I'm going to have him be my home cook so I can continue to enjoy his food every day."
"If he doesn't want to?"
"I've got 1001 ways to make him want to."
Rain was frustrated. His boss is really good at arguing. He doesn't think he's gonna win against Sean. The tired Rain finally decided to go out and return to his desk.
Rain opened his cell phone gallery. He's looking for a picture of his father. He missed the father who had always been his guardian angel. Rain looked at the shady face of his smiling father. The smile that Rain used to see every day.
Flashbacks
"aww...... " Rain was hysterically shouting to see the loan shark fall to the floor with his head drenched in blood. Rentenir had groaned in pain while holding his crumpled head due to being hit by a large urn by Teguh.
Rain cried in fear with his body shaking violently. She has not lost her fear of being raped. Now he had to see the terrible events before his eyes.
"Calm down, son, there's a father." Firmly hugged Rain who was still in shock.
"What if that person dies?"
Firmly approaching the body of the loan shark that has not moved. He took her hand to check her pulse. Instantly Teguh sat limp on the floor realizing that the loan shark had died. Looking at his father's expression, Rain could guess what happened to the loan shark.
"Boss." Shouted one of the loan shark's men who had just entered the room. The man approached and checked the boss's condition.
The man and his friend ran away when they found out his boss was dead.
"How is it dad?" Rain cried in fear.
"Dad's gonna turn himself in to the police."
"No, no Dad. Rain doesn't want me to go to jail, don't do it. Let's run, let's hide in a safe place."
"The loan shark's men must have reported the police. I don't want to be a fugitive who's gonna get you in trouble. We can't go far either because Alan's in the hospital."
"But Rain didn't want me to go to jail. Rain has only a father, Rain has no one else, and is a hysterical hyx."
"You're Rain's strong boy. You can live without a father." Speak firmly while holding Rain in his arms.
"No dad." The rain broke. He hugged his father tightly so that the man would not turn himself in to the police.
"Rain doesn't want me to go to jail for Rain."
"It's not because of you, son. Never blame yourself. All dads would do the same if their daughter was in your position. I'd do anything to save your honor."
Rain grew sobbing considering the incident that made his father languish in prison. The honor that his father had kept dead, he had sold.
