The Unexpected Twist

The Unexpected Twist
Endless Conflict

Nora felt a burning anger in her chest as she saw her mother, Rayna, sobbing on the floor of the house. He could not bear to see the woman he had admired for her strength and fortitude had now become weak and fragile. He knew that the cause of all his mother's suffering was his father, Satria, who always cheated on them and insulted them. He did not understand how his mother could still love the jerk and would not part from him.

"Mother, rise! Where the hell is that guy?!" nora shouted in an annoyed tone. He wanted to meet his father and teach him a lesson. She saw her mother covering her mouth with her hands, as if she wanted to hide something.

Nora snorted in annoyance and turned towards her room. He took the keys to his car and intended to go to a place that might be his father's lair. He was sure that his father must be having fun with other women there.

Rayna who realized her daughter's intentions immediately ran after her. He was afraid that Nora would do something stupid that could endanger her and her father. She still loves her husband even though he hurts her a lot.

Nora did not care about her mother who shouted to her. He started his car and drove fast. Today was the first day he drove alone after a long time of not touching the steering wheel. His unstable emotions made him unable to concentrate. He was lucky that no police had called him on the street.

After traveling for half an hour, he arrived in front of a luxurious building with a microphone logo on it. It was a karaoke bar known as a place of entertainment for wealthy officials and businessmen. Nora parked her car and got inside the bar.

He was amazed by the atmosphere of the bar that was different from the outside world. Colorful light flickered, music stomped, and people laughed. Nora looked for a seat on one of the black bar stools. He saw a white-bearded man in a blue suit smiling at him from behind the counter. He thought it was the owner of the bar, but it turned out that it was just a statue that was displayed on the wall. Nora smiled faintly, appreciating the art and humor of the real bar owner.

However, that was not the purpose for Nora to come here. He looked for his father among the crowd. He heard his father's voice from one of the wooden doors to the right of the long hallway. He walked towards the door and opened it by force.

Inside the room, there was a round table with two menus on it, one standing upright and one lying down. Around the table, there were some people who were having a good time drinking and chatting. Among them, there was his father who was embracing a beautiful young woman.

"Bastardly man" Nora said in her heart.

Nora approached the table with a flat face. He had to restrain his emotions from exploding in front of the crowd. He saw his father surprised to see his arrival.

"Why are you here?" satria asked in a confused tone.

"You don't need to know Mr. Satria. You want to come with me home or I'll tell you everything here?" nora said coldly as she looked at the young lady beside her father.

The woman immediately broke away from Satria's embrace and retreated backwards. Some of the people at the table were whistling in a cynical tone. One of them even dared to approach Nora and embrace her shoulder.

"Satria, since when do you have a young mistress like her? If you don't want to, just make me, then" said the man in a flirtatious tone.

Satria looked at her friend angrily. He stood up from his seat and pulled his daughter's hand violently. He slapped the man who was embracing Nora and pushed her away.

Nora just followed her father. They got out of the karaoke bar and got into the car. Satria drove her daughter's car with a grim face. He can leave quietly because he did not bring any vehicles when he came here.

Satria drove carefully in a luxurious car. His face is invisible, but looks more serious when driving. He wore a neat black shirt, well-fitting black pants, and clean white shoes. Nora admitted her father looked young despite being in his 40s.

When she got home, Nora immediately withdrew her father's hand. In front of the door was his mother who looked at them worriedly. However, in the end felt relieved when she saw her daughter and husband not fighting. The three of them entered the house and sat in the living room.

"Reminent Lord Satria! Please if you still have a conscience. Divorce my Mother! I'm not going to see Mommy crying because of a jerk like you!" press Nora who just caused a conflict again.

A hard slap Nora got from her mother. He looked at his mother in disbelief. He tried to get his mother out of the death hole. He felt his mother like a free wild cat, but never got affection.

"Mother why slap Nora?! Should've hit him! He's the one who always makes you cry! He who made Mother tormented because of her behavior! Then why should Nora be hit?!" shouted Nora who was very unaccepting of her mother's treatment. In this world, he loved his mother the most.

"You have no right to speak to your father like that, Nora! Apologize to your father!" rayna's wrath with pointing at her husband.

Nora shook her head by looking at Satria sharply. The man looked at her lightly because he could not make her mother hate her husband. Nora looked back at her mother angrily.

"Mother knows she's in a karaoke place being affectionate with other women, while Mommy here is lingering in grief! Mother was very stupid when Mother had everything that this man could never have. Mother will regret not listening to the word princess herself," said Nora with a laugh.

Nora ran towards her room. He clearly heard his mother screaming for him to come back. He only touched his ears by locking the door to his room.

From above he heard a scream by his mother. Then greeted screams also harsh words thrown by Satria. The sound of the punch was also a very heartbreaking cry for Nora.

"Mas Satria my mercy! Don't hit me again!" rayna shouted with pleading.

The sounds of shouting and mockery had already become Nora's daily food. She has repeatedly advised her mother to separate from her father. However, Rayna seemed blind with love even willingly tortured the soul as well physically by Satria.

"Mother is out of her mind" muttered Nora who took a headseat and listened to music as loud as possible so as not to listen to something that hurt her.

He was crying under his pillow, feeling alone and helpless. He wanted to save his mother from his father, but he didn't know how. He felt that his life was a hell that had no end.
