The Unexpected Twist
The Love Statement of Nora

Ervin again approached the bed where Nora lay weakly. The girl had fallen asleep with a thick blanket covering her body. Ervin felt guilty seeing his stepbrother who had to suffer because of his cruel mother.

Carefully, he lifted the blanket and checked Nora's clothes, remembering seeing that the girl had still been wearing the same clothes since. The clothes must have been soaked in sweat and could have made Nora even more feverish. Ervin looked around the room anxiously and confusedly.

he wanted to go for help, but suddenly he felt something pull his hand. He turned his head and saw that Nora had opened her eyes weakly. The girl pressed her warm cheek into Ervin's hand. Ervin felt his heart beat racing wildly. he looked at Nora nervously as if this was the first time they had touched.

You're the beautiful angel I've always dreamed of. You are a romance buried in my heart. However, we are separated by a blood bond that should not exist. You are my brother, I am your brother, even if it is only half blood. You are an angel who is now suffering, facing an unjust world.

He could only pray inwardly, begging that fate would not be so cruel to them. He knew this world never sided with their love. They are separated by status, by family, by destiny. If only they could live freely, if only he could give everything for her, if only he could protect her from the pain.

“Don't leave me,” whispered weak Nora. His eyes glazed over at Ervin who was about to move from beside him. His body felt limp and hot, as if a fire was burning his heart.

“I just want to find Auntie,” Ervin tried to calm Nora down by wiping her wet cheeks. He felt the girl's pulse speeding up. He was eager to hold her tightly, but he knew it was inappropriate.

Nora nodded slowly. He didn't want to be left alone in this room. He does not want to lose Ervin, the only person who loves him sincerely besides his mother and friends. He pointed at the wall clock that had already shown eleven o'clock more.

“Aibi is home,” said Nora.

Ervin surprised. He forgot that Bibi, the Nora family's domestic assistant, only worked until ten p.m. He was confused as to how. He could not let Nora in a state of high fever without help. But she also can't call her mama, because she knows her mama will take advantage of this situation to ruin their relationship.

Ervin saw Nora smiling faintly at him. The girl got up slowly with Ervin's help. He walked to the wardrobe to get a change of clothes.

“Wait here,” Nora said in a hoarse voice.

Ervin nodded. He went back to bed and sat on the other side. He saw Nora's phone ringing on the nightstand. He saw a call coming in from an unknown number. Maybe it's the drug she ordered online for Nora.

Ervin picked up the phone and answered the call while standing up and exiting the room. Before that, he turned his head towards Nora and said, “Wait a minute huh. This is from the online ojek the possibility of the drug has reached.”

Nora was relieved when she managed to lock the door of her room. He did not want anyone to disturb when he was about to change his clothes.he was quite tired with all the treatment of Ervin, his half-sister who was not sensitive at all.

he opened the wardrobe and picked out a few strands of underwear and comfortable clothes.he took off his clothes that had been wet with fever.he enjoyed for a moment the wind that hit his skin, making him cold. he began to wear new clothes in slow motion, because his body still felt weak.

Ervin was stunned by the sight before his eyes. He saw Nora who was still half-naked, with a wet face. Nora's stomach looks so smooth. Ervin felt something strange in his chest, as if there was a burning fire.

“Ervin login aja.” Nora's voice broke her daydream. Ervin quickly closed the door and turned around. He felt ashamed and guilty to have seen something he should not have seen. He took a deep breath, trying to calm himself down.

“Ervin login aja.” Nora's voice sounded again from behind the door. Ervin hesitated to re-enter. He was afraid that Nora might be angry or offended by the incident. He was afraid that Nora hated him for seeing his body.

Ervin was shocked when the door suddenly opened. He looked at the well-dressed Nora, with an expressionless flat face. Only her ears were slightly red, showing her embarrassment. Ervin didn't know what to say or do.

Nora walked towards her bed without looking at Ervin. He sat on the edge of the mattress and took the medicine that Ervin was still holding. He smiled sweetly and said, “Thank you, Ervin. You're so good.” Ervin felt his heart flutter as Nora held his hand tightly. They looked at each other with meaningful gazes, as if something was going on between them.

Nora kissed Ervin's cheek gently, then hugged his body tightly. Ervin was surprised, but did not refuse. He felt Nora's heart beating rapidly in his chest. He smiled and stroked Nora's delicate and fragrant hair.

“Ervin, don't ever leave me, yeah. I love you.” Nora whispered in Ervin's ear, giving the man goosebumps.

Ervin took a deep breath. He was not sure what he heard. Did Nora really love him, or just say that because of his unstable condition?

Ervin got up from the bed and took a glass of water and medicine from the side table. He gave it to Nora with an affectionate smile.

“Drink this, let you get well soon.” Ervin said softly.

Nora received the glass with a faint smile. He swallowed the medicine without hesitation, then drank the water out. He was used to this routine.

“I'm fine, Vin. I am often sick like this. It used to be even worse.” Nora tries to calm Ervin down by lying back on the bed. He pulled Ervin's hand closer to him.

Ervin couldn't refuse Nora's request. He clutches Nora's warm and weak body. He felt something strange in his heart. He wants to protect Nora, take care of Nora, even love Nora.

“But we are half-siblings.” Ervin muttered inwardly, while staring at Nora's beautiful and innocent face. He felt guilty for having such feelings towards his own half-brother.
