The Unexpected Twist

The Unexpected Twist
Fighting in School

Nora did not leave school as usual that morning. He chose to visit a place that always gave him tranquility. A place where he can play with abandoned children who think of him as an older brother. He felt grateful to still have a mother who loved him very much, even though his family life was not as beautiful as people thought.

The orphanage looked like a dream house in the middle of a green and lush garden. The walls are pure white, the roof is bright red, and the windows are large and bright. Above the entrance, emblazoned with the inscription “Home Kasihat” made of beautifully carved wood. In the backyard, there are various games that are always filled with the sound of children's laughter.

Nora enters the orphanage with some food she bought on the street. He was greeted by children running towards him with happy faces. They hugged Nora tightly and pulled her inside.

"Sister Nora! Not been here for a long time, anyway. Kan, we are kangen," said one of the children with sparkling eyes.

"Sorry, yes, lately brother is busy. Sis will be here often, huh." Nora answered while sticking out her little finger.

The children hooked their little finger to Nora's finger as a sign of promise. They invited Nora to play with them. They play hide and seek, cooking, and others. Nora enjoyed every moment she spent with them.

Here, he could forget for a moment the trouble that befell him at home. Here, he could feel the pure and sincere happiness of children who had nothing but affection.

"They were very happy when you came. Actually when you're not there they're always moody" said the mother of the parlour who saw Nora from a distance.

"Yes, Mom. Nora is also happy to play with them. They always make Nora laugh together" Nora replied with a warm smile.

The mother smiled at Nora's beaming look on her face, even though she knew it was just a mask. The old woman approached Nora and patted her on the shoulder gently.

"Mom knows you're in trouble. If you can no longer bear the pain and want to share. You can be a good listener" said the mother in a soft voice.

Nora just smiled faintly. Mothers always know how she feels. Happiness is very fragile for Nora. He just wants everyone to be happy, especially the mother.

"Mother also knows what problems Nora is facing," Nora continued by hugging the body of the orphanage mother who was very warm to her. Things that he very rarely did with the mother, because his mother was always stricken with sadness that made him doubt.

"Mom can't give you advice because maybe your mother has a clear reason. We as children no one ever knows what they have experienced in the past as well as their problems and regrets. We as children can only counsel rather than impose our own will" the mother said wisely.

Nora who heard was silent. The negative thoughts in his brain began to disappear. He feels guilty for saying sensitive words that are not liked by the mother. Maybe this time he will apologize to his mother.

Nora releases her embrace to the mother of the parlour. He smiled very sweetly only he could dispel his worries when his heart was misguided. Only the mother of the home can solve her problems.

"Thank you, Mom. All this time only Mother who can love understanding to Nora," said Nora with a very wide smile.

The mother of the parlour just nodded slowly with a warm smile. He looked at Nora's clothes wearing the school uniform. He shook his head with a small laugh.

"You don't go to school anymore? Nora if you want to come here after school, yes. You should be grateful you can still go to high school."

"Sorry, Mom. Nora was just planning school but it was coming slower," Nora replied with a soft grimace.

"Yes, next time don't repeat. Pity your parents who have slammed their bones to send you to school."

Nora nodded her head slowly. Suddenly his phone rang. It was just a phone call from Yudha. He picked up the phone call soberly.

"Hello, I'm really calling you."

"..."

"Huh?! I have to go to school."

"Don't be naughty, yeah! Make me proud of you. Brother go first, yes. You see, there are problems that you have to take care of" said Nora by kneeling on the grass. He opened his arms and was greeted with a warm embrace by the children.

"But you're gonna be here again, right?"

"Yes, I'll be here again. Kan, sister has promised you guys" replied Nora with a sweet smile. "If that's how big brother goes first, yeah."

The orphanage children waved their hands shouting, "Drug, pretty sister!!"

...****************...

Nora enters the school, but must pass the supervising teacher to tell her if she is not late but late entry to the school. When allowed he immediately ran towards the room BK. He knocked on the door with a breath.

"Lake in!"

Inside, there was Yudha with Giovanni standing and the teacher of BK staring. In the chair were seen several injured children as well as Ervin who was sitting. The man looked messy as well as injured like the others.

Nora walked over by subduing her body as the teacher observed her. He walked closer to Ervin who just lowered his face. He raised Ervin's bloody head as well as the tip of the man's lips that looked torn.

"Why can you do this, Vin? They bully lo again?" asked Nora in a very soft voice.

"We where there's a bully him! He's the one who suddenly attacked our girl!" One of the people sitting there seemed to voice the truth.

Nora looked into Ervin's eyes which rejected his gaze. He only let out a long sigh at least grateful Ervin could still fight people, but he did not know for sure what the reason was. He saw the man looking intently at the other man.

Nora immediately carried Ervin's body into his arms. Ervin's head seemed to be leaning against his stomach. He stroked Ervin's hair to make him calm down. He continued to do so until the man's breath calmed down.

"What's he talking about really, Vin?" nora asked calmly so as not to make the man feel cornered.

Ervin nodded his head in his arms saying, "Gue doesn't like them, Brother. They all insulted you when you weren't at school."

Nora was stunned even the soft elusan in Ervin's hair came to a halt. He stared at the three girls with two guys sitting next to Ervin. He took a deep breath and he didn't care what they said. Hypocrites are basically human nature.

"Ervin doesn't need to hear their words. Now the business is done" said Nora with a sweet smile. "Punishment to Ervin I will also run, sir."

Ervin looked at Nora in disbelief. Giovanni also Yudha just stared at each other and then away from each other. They just don't believe Nora's words.

"But ..."

"Gue doesn't like rejection" Nora interrupted by stroking the man's cheek.

The teacher just cleared his throat with a sharp look they said, "Your punishment is to sweep the courtyard of the eleventh grade corridor which will be watched directly by Yudha as well as Gio."

Nora nodded her head slowly. He pulled Ervin's hand to stand up not forgetting to thank his teacher.

"That's great excitement" said Giovanni, rolling his eyes.
