The atmosphere of the airport that afternoon was much more crowded than usual. In the middle of the crowd was a middle-aged man with gray hair clearly visible on his head, walking casually towards the airport lobby following several other men behind him.
The old man walked straight through the crowd of passersby inside the airport building.
Moments later, the old man was seen stopping his steps for a moment and circulating his gaze throughout the airport area. He looked at all parts of the airport building, which he said had been far more luxurious since his departure five years ago.
"Look at this I have only been away for a few years from this country, but this airport has even changed a lot" the old man murmured.
"Yes. You are right sir!" replied one of the few men standing behind him who was none other than his personal~ bodyguard.
"Hm.." the old man looked at the other corner. "Look! The building even looks very modern, Mario."
Mario, the leader of the bodyguards and the man he had been talking to, nodded his head politely at the boss. "I totally agree, sir!"
"Hows it? Do you miss this country, Mario?"
"Very sir, because this is the country where I was born, so I really miss it. It's been a long time since I last set foot in this country."
The old man's hand then moved slowly to justify the part of his luxurious coat that currently looked a little tangled to get back neat. He then resumed his steps, taking a straight path through the lobby towards the airport exit and stopping right in front of the exit.
The old man tightened his suit once more and stood straight without looking left and right, just staring straight ahead.
"Your pickup will arrive in five minutes sir. Right now they're on their way here." said Mario walking closer while putting his phone in his pants pocket, apparently he just contacted someone.
"Where are they at the moment?"
Mario looked at his master for a moment, then answered the boss's question. "Just Paul called and told them that the car they were driving should have arrived half an hour earlier. But they were stuck in traffic on the way here."
"Is that so? No problem." said the old man while nodding in understanding. "Oh yeah, what about the readiness in the main mansion? Did you tell them about our return?"
Hearing the question, Mario nodded. "Yes, sir, already. And then the mansion also told me that they had prepared everything they needed for your dinner at the mansion later. They have also asked personal chefs to come to make your favorite food." said Mario at length.
The old man then smiled. "You're getting very nimble now, Mario!"
Hearing the praise from the superior, the young man immediately lowered his head respectfully, "All of course because of your outstanding guidance, sir!"
Not long after that some luxury cars came and lined up right in front of them. And a few seconds after that an old man wearing a black jacket came down and ran over to them.
"Mr Romanov Clinton" said the man in the black jacket with a smile.
Hearing his name, which Mr. Romanov had just called, he turned to the old man. He smiled back when he saw who was walking towards him. Mr. Romanov knew clearly who the man was, he was Paul, his personal assistant.
"Paul!" greet Mr. Romanov back while smiling at the assistant.
"Welcome, sir." Paul then bowed politely, trying to pay his respects to the master. "Sorry I was a little late sir, I was -"
"I know!" cut off Mr. Romanov. "No problem, we just got here a few minutes ago."
Paul lowered his head again. "Once again I apologize sir."
Mr. Romanov did not answer Paul's remarks. He simply nodded while smiling wryly at his personal assistant.
And still with a smile clinging to his face, Mr. Romanov then said, "Paul, you haven't told Charlotte and Xander about my arrival that arrived earlier, have you?"said mr. Romanov.
"Of course not, sir." Paul shook his head, "As per your request, I have not informed the young lady and master of your arrival."
Mr. Romanov. "I've deliberately changed my return schedule early in order to get here early as well. I need to know what my grandchildren are doing. It'll be messed up if they both find out I'm home."
"Okay, sir, I have also asked the mansion to keep your arrival a secret, and not to tell Miss Lottie and Mr. Xander" Paul said in a calm tone.
"Good, good!" praise mr Romanov.
Hearing the compliment, Paul nodded and smiled. "Ah, okay. Let's master! Please come with me, sir!" he said while leading the employer towards the direction where he parked the car.
Paul then rushed to open the back door for Mr. Romanov. He waited until the master got into the car, only then he moved into the front seat, sitting next to the driver.
"Paul, quickly you order Mario and his subordinates to go home first and rest!" mr. Romanov's orders.
"I told them, sir." Paul said, putting his phone in his jacket pocket.
"Hm. Nice one!" mr. Romanov smiled.
Mr. Romanov now sat back, leaning back and looking at the contents of the car he was riding in, not long after that a sound came from his mouth.
"Did Lottie buy another car?" asked Mr. Romanov still staring at the entire contents of the car. "This car looks very new."
Paul, who was wearing his seatbelt, turned his head and looked at Mr. Romanov awkwardly. "y-yes, sir, the lady who bought this car."
"I'm guessing it must have been Charlotte. He was the only one who dared to do such things. Because if it was Xander, he would have asked permission from me first." Mr. Romanov shook his head resignedly.
"Look at me, miss bought this car about five days ago, sir."
"But didn't you say that he bought a car to change his own car that hit a tree a while ago?" mr. Romanov looked at Paul in wonder.
"Sorry sir! But miss also bought a car for the main mansion."
Mr. Romanov growled in annoyance. "Didn't he have his own car in his apartment and also in his house? Then why would he want to change the main car in the mansion."
"A few days ago the lady went to visit the mansion and the lady kept nagging about the state and also the condition of the car in the mansion. Miss says that the previous car is too old to use and immediately buy a new one."
"Is that so?" mr. Romanov raised his eyebrows next to his. "Then why didn't you tell me?"
Paul gulped his saliva roughly, he did not know what to say. "Miss, she-"
"Is he threatening you?" guess Mr. Romanov who read the nervous wave from his assistant.
Mr. Romanov knows very well the nature of his assistant. Paul was so loyal to her. Paul will do whatever Mr. Romanov tells him. But somehow, for this time Paul did not tell the problem of buying this new car.
"That-that's..." Paul took a breath. "I'm sorry sir!"
Sure enough!
Charlotte must have threatened Paul.
Mr. Romanov sighed and shook his head. "You take it easy, Paul! Charlotte won't do anything to you."
Paul nodded.
"Charlotte!" murmured mr. Romanov tired. He pinched his dizzy head, "The boy is a troublemaker.
"Then...do you think he just bought this car?" ask Mr. Romanov again.
Paul was silent again. He lowered his head in fear and made Mr. Romanov cluck in annoyance. "Ck, if you know the nature of the girl, I don't think so?"
Paul nodded slowly. "You are right sir. In addition to this car, the lady also bought three new cars at once, sir."
"What?" mr. Romanov widened his eyes. "What about the old car?"
"Miss has sold it and the money has also been deposited on me." explained Paul.
Mr. Romanov shook his head slowly. Honestly speaking, he actually deeply regretted the extravagant nature of his grandson.
And behold!
The girl does not even like to look at old cars and prefers to buy a new car.
Wouldn't someone else be replacing their vehicle when it's damaged or in trouble. But Charlotte is different, she'll change her car if she's bored.
Isn't that too wasteful?
He's really too wasteful!
