Trapped in Love Miss Arogan

Trapped in Love Miss Arogan
24.

That morning, Xander sat down at the dinner table, enjoying his breakfast consisting of bread and a glass of his favorite orange juice.

Soon Mr. Romanov came and joined him at the dinner table followed by Paul who walked behind him carrying Mr. Romanov's expensive suit in his hand.

"For grandpa!" Xander immediately stood up, greeting Mr. Romanov while looking down politely.

"For Xander!" Mr. Romanov returned the greeting with a small nod with a smile. He then sat down in front of Xander and began to pick up slices of bread on the table. While a waiter approached to pour juice into the glass in front of Mr. Romanov.

"You're going to college?" asked Mr. Romanov to glance at Xander's backpack hanging on the back of the young man's chair.

"Yes, grandpa!"

Mr. Romanov glanced at the clock on the wall of the room. "Isn't it still too early to leave?" ask mr. Romanov.

The question made Xander stare at the clock on his wrist. Then he nodded slowly. "Yes grandpa! College starts early, about an hour away. I'm waiting for Charlotte right now, cake!"

Mr. Romanov seemed to sigh, "This hour, he must still be sleeping. That kid is really troublesome!" the grumble of Mr. Romanov that Xander immediately replied with a small smile.

"I've asked the waiter to wake her up a few minutes ago, cake! He must be getting ready now" Xander explained. Mr. Romanov immediately nodded in understanding.

After that, the situation at the dining table again became quiet. The two were busy enjoying their breakfast.

"Xander, can you not go to college today?" said Mr. Romanov suddenly.

Hearing his grandfather's words, Xander stopped chewing the bread in his hand. He looked at the middle-aged man with a frown. "Not going to college? What's up, cake?"

"Can you come with Grandpa this morning!" mr. Romanov asked and sipped his orange juice.

Xander put the loaf of bread in his hand on the plate and looked at Mr. Romanov seriously. "Follow with grandpa? But where are you going?"

"Grandfather will tell you later." Mr. Romanov sounded mysterious.

"But today on campus there will be" Xander's speech was cut off when he saw Mr. Romanov raise his hand for Xander to stop talking.

"It's okay, Xander! Grandpa called the campus and asked for your permission today."

Xander. "Soliciting permission?"

"Yes." mister Romanov nodded. "If you don't have to go to college because you're coming with me today."

"The campus has also allowed. So it won't be a problem if you don't attend your course." said Mr. Romanov as he spread jam on his bread.

Xander looked at mister Romanov with a puzzled expression. "Grandfather asked permission? But doesn't the campus belong to Grandpa himself?"

One fact, the campus where Charlotte and Xander are currently studying is the best private campus which also belongs to Mr. Romanov.

"The cube belongs to Grandpa. But did you forget that Grandpa once taught you not to take advantage of the power you have?"

"Ah, yes grandpa! I'm sorry." said Xander quietly.

"This was your first pass while you were there, wasn't it?" asked Mr. Romanov while biting the bread in his hand.

Xander rolled his eyes trying to remember. He then nodded. "Yes grandfather, as I recall, I never took a permit once for five semesters."

"Yes. I know all about it!" said Mr. Romanov with a proud smile.

"Grandfather knows?" xander was surprised. He was confused how Mr. Romanov knew, but he never told him. Besides, they haven't even met in five years.

Mr. Romanov nodded. "Of course grandpa knows. All this time grandfather did not not not stalk your activities. Grandpa even knows what you and Charlotte do every day."

Mr. Romanov continues. "The lecturers very often tell me how amazing you are. Your worth, your intelligence and your attitude. It makes all the lecturers on campus really like you. You are an exemplary student." continued Mr. Romanov at length.

Hearing the praise from the Romanov lord, Xander could only lower his head. He was embarrassed and did not know what to react to at the moment.

"Thank you grandpa!" he said slowly, but could still be heard clearly by the old man.

Mr. Romanov smiled. "It's not you, but I'm the one who should thank you because you've been trying desperately to keep my good name."

"That's my duty cake!" xander replied smilingly, returning the grandfather's smile. "That's not even enough to repay Grandpa's kindness."

Mr. Romanov nodded his head and went back to sipping his juice which now only half. He then rose from his position.

"We're leaving now, Xander!" the sentence of the commandment emphatically came out of the mouth of Mr. Romanov.

Paul, who had been standing near them, immediately handed over Mr. Romanov's coat and helped the master wear it.

Xander himself immediately nodded obediently, responding to the grandfather's orders which actually made him surprised. He took the remaining bread and rose from his position to follow Mr. Romanov who had now stepped out.

"But where are we going, grandpa?" xander asked as he put the last remaining loaf of his bread into his mouth.

"You will accompany me to check out some factories today" said Mr. Romanov as he continued walking down a row of steps, exiting the mansion.

Xander just nodded. He continued to follow Mr. Romanov who was currently walking towards the car.

While near the car, Xander looked around and was surprised to not find Mario, the bodyguard of Mr. Romanov's favorite who is usually near the grandfather. Mario is the only person who always follows the middle-aged man everywhere, but now he is not visible.

"I didn't see grandpa's bodyguard?" xander asked, still looking around.

"Who, Mario?" mr. Romanov replied, Xander then nodded in response.

"Yes, where is he, cake?"

"He will not accompany me today" replied Mr. Romanov calmly. "I've assigned him to take care of some meetings in the main office, so it's only you who will accompany me."

"Today I brought you to the factory because I wanted to introduce you to my employees. They should know the face of their future leader." said Mr. Romanov.

Xander was silent, not responding to anything from his grandfather's words. He then glanced at the middle-aged man at a glance. He lowered. Somehow his grandfather's words actually made him feel awkward himself at this time. Just imagine, he did not even know anything about the company, but the man before him had already called him a 'prospective leader'.

Mr. Romanov smiled at Xander's awkward behavior. "Look down, I was just kidding. Today I just want to introduce you to the employees. This has nothing to do with the main change of leader I said last night. It's too early for you anyway." explains Mr. Romanov.

Xander scratched his nape while smiling shyly. He did not expect that his grandfather was currently trying to work on him.

Xander quietly turned around, staring at the mansion building behind him, precisely staring at the main door of the luxurious mansion. He then remembered that he was waiting for Charlotte who was preparing to go to campus.

"Grandfather, does Charlotte know that I-I"

"No. He doesn't know yet!" cut Mr. Romanov quickly. "She'll go berserk if she finds out I brought you. But, I've already ordered Paul to tell him when he looks for you later!"

Xander nodded in understanding. "All right!"

"OKAY. Can we get in the car now?" mr. Romanov said as he rushed into his car. "Oh yeah, we didn't bring the driver today."

"Yes, grandpa!" xander answered and followed Mr. Romanov, who was about to enter the car. Xander walked towards the driver's seat. "Em, since we're not using a driver, let me drive."

"Yes!" mr. Romanov smiled.
