Trapped in Love Miss Arogan

Trapped in Love Miss Arogan
95.

The clock now shows twelve o'clock in the afternoon. Charlotte and Xander are done shopping. They are currently visiting a luxury restaurant that is near the jewelry store.

"Let's order fast, I'm already very hungry" Xander said impatiently because Charlotte had been reading the menu book for too long.

"Patience, a minute."

"You're taking too long." said Xander.

"I don't know what to eat" Charlotte said, looking through the menu in the book.

"Order the steak."

"Steak?"

"Yes, I ordered a steak. Isn't that our two favorite food every time we go out to eat together."

"What's it like in this restaurant as good as our restaurant?"

"Eitherway. Just order. We'll try to feel together later."

Charlotte nodded and turned to the waitress of the restaurant standing beside her. "Alright, I ordered the same menu as him."

"Well, miss." said the waiter, taking down the order and leaving immediately.

Before long, the food they ordered finally came. Charlotte and Xander enjoyed their meal quietly.

But at that moment, Xander's phone suddenly shook. It was a message. Xander opened and read the incoming message and frowned.

For a while after reading the message, Xander simply shook his head. He stared at the screen of his phone in silence. Nor did he reply or ignore it. Just looking at him.

Charlotte stopped cutting her steak. He noticed a change in Xander's countenance after opening his phone.

"What's wrong?" charlotte asked, her eyes narrowed in curiosity.

Xander did not answer. He looked at his phone in silence. The young man's attitude only confused Charlotte.

"Hey, Xander. What's going on?"

Charlotte asked, this time she waved her hand in front of Xander's face, making the young man come to a realization.

"Y-Yes?"

"I asked, what's wrong with you?"

"Oh, I. I. it's okay." said Xander shaking his head while smiling awkwardly.

Charlotte was still staring at Xander in silence. He was not sure of the young man's answer. He knew the young man didn't want to be honest with him. Just look at how awkward Xander is right now.

"Are you sure it's okay?"

Xander looked at Charlotte doubtfully. She knew she couldn't possibly hide anything from her sister. It's not something to hide anyway.

"Actually I'm not sure." said Xander in the end.

"Huh?"

"It's something that's not good."

Charlotte stopped her eating movements, looking at Xander with focus.

"Not good for you?"

"For you." replied Xander. "Also for both of us."

"What's up? What is it that actually makes you look so agitated right now?"

Xander stared at Charlotte for a few seconds then sighed softly. He cleared his throat for a while and then put his phone back in his jacket pocket.

"From who the hell? I was curious." asked Charlotte again, seemingly not giving up asking. "Are you impregnating someone?"

"Don't be reckless. You saw my face. Do I look like a man like that."

"Yes.maybe..."

"Do not assume. You're drawing your own conclusions. Ngawur too." protested Xander.

"So what's up? Who exactly called you?"

"It's from Mario." replied Xander in the end.

"Mario?" Charlotte wrinkled her forehead, looking astonished. "Should that be a message from Mario?"

"Yes, that's it."

Charlotte's moving backwards. From Mario he said? That right? Charlotte didn't hear wrong. I don't know why Charlotte feels so weird right now. For what his grandfather's favorite son sent Xander a message.

"You said Mario sent you a message?" Charlotte made sure once again.

"Yes, right. Mario was the one who just sent me the message." Xander explained again .

"Then?"

"Then? What"

Charlotte snorted, "Then what? What does he want from you?

"Mario said that grandpa asked me to come to the office."

Charlotte raised her eyebrows. "Why? What business is it?"

"I don't know either." Xander shook his head. "I was asked to come around eight o'clock tonight."

"Hour eight? Tonight then? Hold on, Xander. Don't we have an appointment with Laurent at the club tonight?"

"Yes, I know. That's why I said this isn't good news."

Charlotte was silent for a moment, looking at Xander.

"So?"

"So? What's?"

"Yes, I mean, so are you going to go to Grandpa's office even if you have an appointment with someone else first?"

"I don't know."

"Xander, that's a promise. As a person in charge, tonight you must keep your promise to the nightclub. I don't want to know."

"I'm not making things difficult for you, Xander. That's reality. You promised me. With Laurent. So I'm asking you not to forget your promise." Charlotte spoke out firmly.

Xander took a deep breath.

It's not like Xander forgot about their plans tonight. He remembered. Clearly even. A day ago, Laurent invited the two of them to his nightclub for fun. Charlotte and Xander are even ready to go there.

"We promised her, Xander." continued Charlotte.

"Yes, you just said the same thing thirty seconds ago."

"Find out a way to reject Grandpa then."

"That's what I'm thinking too, Lottie. I'm so confused now how to.." complained Xander in despair.

"Why should be confused. You should have kept your promise as a man. Tell Grandpa you can't come."

"But this is Grandpa's order, Charlotte!" Xander raised his voice.

"What if Grandpa's orders?" Charlotte started to growl.

"That means I can't argue with him" Xander said.

"So you want to cancel the appointment?"

Xander rubbed his face roughly then carried his back leaning against the back of the chair.

"I. I don't know. Really." he said desperate.

The young man bit his lower lip while tapping on the table with a complex face.

"Then what should I do?" xander said he felt frustrated himself.

Charlotte's shaking her shoulder. "Only you know."

Xander let out a rough breath. He knew it would end badly. He was sure, if he canceled the plan that they had planned for the sake of obeying grandfather, then Charlotte would be upset instead of playing with him.

If usually he will not feel anything when canceling plans. But this time Xander felt so bad. This was related to the grandfather who called him to the office. And as far as Xander is concerned, Charlotte never liked it when Xander was in contact with office affairs.

Xander was unable to do much, especially when he found Charlotte who currently seemed to be holding back her sense of regret. But he was confused, all this time he never opposed Mr. Romanov. One time.

Charlotte secretly notices Xander's look. His sister looked so desperate now. Charlotte was sure she must be feeling very confused.

Charlotte then sighed softly after seeing the all-inclusive look on Xander's face. Yes, in the end he was not sad if their appointment tonight failed, but he was definitely upset.

Charlotte pushed her dinner plate. He had no taste in enjoying the steak in front of him now.

"Yes, just go!" charlotte said.

"Huh?"

"Just go to the office. You meet grandfather. " said Charlotte in the end, but with a trenchant tone. He turned his face while folding his hands in front of his chest.

Ah, he's so upset. Obviously he felt so upset. He and Xander should have gone to Laurent's club tonight. But he had to lower his ego. Otherwise her brother would have been tormented by her confusion.

Xander's phone is ringing. It's Mario, again. This time Mario called. But Xander immediately rejected the call and put his phone on the table.

Xander looked at Charlotte fixedly before finally returning to speak.

"Are you okay if I go?"

Hearing that question Charlotte looked at Xander with narrowed eyes.

"When I forbid you to leave, you'll obey and stay here?"

"That problem..."

Xander could not answer and just looked at his sister with a wrong look.

Charlotte clucked in annoyance. "Hows it? Can't do it, can it? That's why don't ask more questions. I told you just now, just go."

Things become quiet. Xander and Charlotte fell silent again. Busy with their own minds.

Charlotte chose to sip her drink quietly and then put it back on the table and continued eating.

"I'm sorry. If I take it later I will follow to the club." said Xander.

"It won't be too late." replied Charlotte.

"Maybe ten o'clock or eleven o'clock with grandfather will be done."

Charlotte is back to throwing her face away. He refused to speak to the young man.

"I'll work it out. You wait for me there, yeah!" persuade Xander.

"You don't have to be hard-pressed. Your efforts won't work." Charlotte underestimated.

"Come Charlotte. Don't be that pessimistic, do it."

Charlotte scolds cynically.

"I'm talking because I'm sure you're gonna spend hours with Grandpa in the office."

"Yes, it depends. But I'll try to come."

"Don't make hope."

Xander looked at Charlotte softly.

"Charlotte, we-"

"I'm done!" charlotte said as she placed the spoon on her steak plate. He decided to stop eating and got up and left the table.

He doesn't want Xander to make empty promises to him.

Xander who saw Charlotte moved away immediately followed.

"Hey, wait a minute."

"Hear first!"

"no need. You don't have to give me any hope you can't keep. You're not a board member either. I don't want to hear your false promise. Better get home now."
