*Her Mr. Romanov's workspace
"Paul, I need you to ask someone to send some important documents to the main office" Mr. Romanov said, focusing on sifting through a few piles of documents that appeared to mess with his desk.
He then placed a stack of documents that had been arranged to another corner on his desk.
"This document too!" mr. Romanov said again while handing over the documents he meant to Paul who was standing nearby.
The stern commandment was responded by Paul with a nod of the head.
Paul quickly stepped closer to his employer's desk and grabbed the stack of documents in question.
"I will ask the waiter to send this document to the main office immediately, sir." Paul said later.
"And also, you call the finance department that runs our restaurants and cafes. You tell him to immediately send me the financial statements of all the restaurants and cafes, by email. I need to read the financial statements and income of our cafe this week, as soon as possible." mister Romanov again ordered, his voice sounded full of authority.
"Okay sir!" Paul nodded obediently again and immediately left to carry out the orders of Mr. Romanov just now.
"Ah, or just like this." said Mr. Romanov suddenly.
The voice made a movement of Paul's hand that was about to reach the doorknob immediately stopped.
Paul turned his head, looked at Mr. Romanov, waiting for his master to speak.
"Yes, sir?" tanyakanya.
"Em, look. I don't think you need to contact the finance department, Paul." Mr. Romanov sounded a little hesitant.
"Not being sir?" paul is confused.
"Yes! No need." said Mr. Romanov, nodding his head. "I think I'll just go there."
"You want to visit restaurants and cafes, sir?"
Mr. Romanov nodded. "Yes, I haven't been there in a long time and looked around. So today I'm going to go down to check the conditions of the entire business including the restaurant and the cafe that belongs to me." explained Mr. Romanov.
"Call you Mario! I'll go there with him later, after lunch. I can't go too late in the afternoon. There are too many places I will visit. Checking out an effort like this could get me home until tonight."
"Good sir."
.
.
It was one o'clock in the afternoon when Charlotte came and approached the dining table for lunch.
Charlotte pulled up the chair and immediately sat down right beside Xander. Meanwhile nearby, Charlotte also saw the grandfather who was also there, focusing on enjoying his lunch.
And at that time Charlotte's head immediately got an idea of how to lie to her grandfather so that he could go to Laurent's party tonight
Charlotte confirmed her sitting position and looked at the grandfather with a serious look.
"Grandfather, I want to say something" Charlotte said suddenly and made Xander who was sitting next to her turn her head immediately.
Xander's feelings suddenly became unpleasant. He knew exactly what Charlotte was going to do at the moment. His sister will definitely launch his plan to lie to his grandfather.
"What's up, Charlotte?"
"I-i"
"You're gonna say it now?" whispered Xander, interrupting Charlotte who was about to speak.
"If not now, when?" answer Charlotte casually.
"Are you crazy, Charlotte? We haven't even planned anything yet. Don't do anything you want yourself like this." Xander tried to remind his sister.
"Why are you guys whispering like that?" mr. Romanov said that the small conversation between Xander and Charlotte had stopped.
Mr. Romanov put his spoon on the plate then focused on looking at Xander and Charlotte in turn.
"What do you want to say, Charlotte?" ask Mr. Romanov.
Charlotte looked at Xander before replying.
"To the apartment?" mr. Romanov looked at his two grandchildren in wonder. "Do you want to go back there?"
Xander seemed surprised by her grandfather's words while Charlotte still behaved casually.
"No. Grandpa don't get me wrong. We didn't mean to live there. But we-"
Xander suddenly felt hesitant to continue his sentence. More precisely, I don't know what to say anymore. He is not good at making up excuses and lying like his sister.
Well, this was all Charlotte's plan from the start. That girl should have lied. In addition, they have not planned anything to do this lie.
Xander turned to Charlotte, hoping for help from his sister. But all he found was annoyance, because seeing his sister was just silent while enjoying the food casually.
What the fuck?
"Why are you going to the apartment? Anything to do there?" ask Mr. Romanov again.
"Ka-we just-"
Xander gulped his saliva roughly, he felt at a loss as to what else to say now. Note, he can't lie.
"Me and Xander just wanted to check the state of our apartment alone" explains Charlotte trying to break the ice that is happening.
Charlotte then continued, "And there are also some items that I have to take, such as dresses for photo shoots, shoes for fashion shows and other important items. I need Xander to accompany me away because the stuff I'm going to bring is pretty much."
Mr. Romanov looked at his two grandchildren and then nodded in understanding. Yeah, actually he didn't mind all that, but somehow something seemed strange, especially the nervous expression of Xander.
Charlotte knew the Grandfather's suspicious expression immediately hurriedly spoke.
"Grandfather calm down. Xander and I will be back here tonight. What time we can't decide yet given the huge amount of stuff we'll be carrying." Charlotte explained.
"Ah, fine then." Mr. Romanov nodded in understanding. "Do you need help from the waiter?"
"No." replied Charlotte quickly, "All I need is Xander."
"Is that so? Really don't need a waiter's help?"
"Yes. Grandpa don't worry. We can do it alone." said Charlotte. "We'll go out this afternoon and come home tonight."
Mr. Romanov nodded back. "All right then."
Charlotte breathed a sigh of relief remembering the grandfather who was completely unsuspecting of her.
But suddenly Mr. Romanov realized something. "Oh yeah, you two just go on with lunch."
"Will grandfather go?" ask Xander.
Mr. Romanov nodded. "Yes, actually grandfather has to leave now. Grandpa wants to visit some of our family businesses."
"To the restaurant?"
"really. Grandfather had not seen the development of cafes and restaurants for a long time" said Mr. Romanov who immediately left without waiting for any response from his two grandchildren.
After the departure of Mr. Romanov, Charlotte and Xander still survive at the dinner table to continue enjoying their lunch.
"Why did you suddenly talk to Grandpa like that? We haven't even planned any excuses yet."
"But you can see, things are going really well, right?" charlotte rolled her eyes at Xander.
Xander screeced. "Ck, good what."
"Ah, I'm very good at acting apparently." continued Charlotte praising herself ignoring Xander who was nagging.
"Acting? Lying meant?" xander said in a satirical tone while Charlotte simply replied to the insinuation with a slanted smile.
"I prefer to call it acting!" charlotte replied while continuing to smile.
"Based on the crafty girl," Xander said still with a cynical smile on his face.
Charlotte rolled her eyeballs and replied quickly. "Well, that's not the cunning name! But smart."
