Charlotte is lying in her bed. Next to his hand looked to massage the base of his nose that felt dizzy.
I don't know how many glasses he had at the club last night. Laurent even continued to ban him from drinking because he was worried that he would get drunk.
His memory suddenly returned to Xander, his older brother. Geez, considering the incident just now somehow made her a little nervous. The shadow about the look on her brother's face made Charlotte secretly feel pity. Wasn't her treatment of her brother so outrageous?
"Ah, no."
Charlotte hurriedly shook her head, brushing aside the guilt that had arisen in her heart. Just blame it on Xander himself who didn't give him the news and made him have to wait there.
To be honest, the anger that Charlotte is feeling right now is not just caused by her brother. But there were so many things that made Charlotte feel so upset today.
Don't forget about Brandon's presence. Ah, that one human seems to need to be destroyed from the face of this earth.
He had already further damaged Charlotte's mood which had indeed been broken from the beginning.
"I'll teach him a lesson if I meet that stupid young man again." Charlotte scolded as she closed her eyes.
Not long after that, the door to his room was knocked. Charlotte could hear the voice and opened her eyes. He was silent and then the door seemed to open slowly.
Then Xander appeared with an awkward look on his face with his hand still holding the doorknob.
Charlotte took a quick glance and looked at Xander cynically. What else would this young man want to come here?
"Moreover now?" ask Charlotte ketus.
"Want to look around." said Xander wrongly.
Charlotte got up from her sleep and sat down on the edge of the bed. "No need for pleasantries, Xander."
"You still mad at me?"
Charlotte screeched then rolled her eyes lazily. So Xander bothered to come to his room just to ask this? He could even contact her from the phone if he wanted to ask that.
"Your question is not important. Just get out of here!" said Charlotte got up from her seat, walked up to Xander, was about to close the door of her room but was hurriedly restrained by her brother with her hands.
"Wait a minute!" hold Xander.
"Otherwise?"
"What do you want?"
Charlotte sighed, regulating her emotions.
"Sleep." replied Charlotte later.
"But you haven't answered my question."
Charlotte looked at Xander getting upset.
"What other question?"
"My question was."
Xander let go of his hand from holding the door. He looked at Charlotte with an indecipherable look.
"Are you angry or not?"
Charlotte grieves. "Do I need to answer that stupid question of yours?"
"You think?"
It only made Charlotte shake her shoulders relaxed.
"I don't think I need to respond to any of your questions" Charlotte said.
"Why not necessary? Your answer is to choose between yes or no."
Charlotte was upset. But Xander still looked at him with a fixed gaze. What the hell do you want this guy. Why would he want to know if Charlotte was angry or not? This young man knew the answer from him.
Charlotte turned her face in annoyance. He could feel the weight in his head growing. Come on, the influence of his alchemy is still so pronounced. He had wanted to sleep but this young man was bothering him. He then looked back at Xander sharply.
"Listen Xander! You go with Grandpa I don't have a problem at all. Even though you know that Grandpa kept violating the initial agreement on the matter of taking you to the office. I'm still trying to be quiet."
"But the problem is with you. You you? You've made me wait there for hours. Whether it was intentional or not. And I don't like that."
"All right. I'm sorry for you." replied Xander.
"I'm sorry!"
"Hmm.." replied Charlotte lazily. "Are you satisfied now?"
"Yes tolerable. But why do you talk like you're still mad at me."
"Come Xander. Nothing is that easy in this world. Being angry and forgiving is another. It takes time for me to ease it."
"When will you be angry with me?"
"Oh my goodness..."
Charlotte closed her eyes, then sighed softly. Come on, he's calmer now. His emotions are much better than they were a while ago. He just didn't want his emotions to rise again because of this young man's question.
"I don't want to answer anything, Xander. So, you better just go now."
"You kicked me out?" ask Xander.
"Ah, and also.from tomorrow I will go anywhere alone. You don't have to drive me anymore." Charlotte ignored Xander's previous questions.
"What did you say?"
"I'm sure you can clearly hear what I just said."
"You said you'd leave without me?"
"Yes,"
Xander himself seemed silent for a few seconds after Charlotte spoke her entire sentence. He scrunched his eyebrows. Shocked and confused was the first taste that appeared in his head at this moment.
"Why?"
"It's okay." Charlotte shook her head casually. "I just want to do anything myself."
"Just because of that? What kind of reason is that. And also where might I let you go anywhere alone."
"I'm not asking your permission. But I'm telling you."
"But I don't agree."
"I don't need any approval from you either."
"Where can that be, Lottie."
Xander of course protested. Where could he let that. Not likely. An obligation hinders her from letting the girl go anywhere herself.
While staring at Charlotte's face, Xander was still trying to persuade her sister.
"Charlotte, you can be mad at me. But taking care of you is another thing. You know exactly what I mean. I can't always let you go without me."
"Ah, really? But it's a little different than what you did earlier. You're going. You made me wait there."
"That's because grandpa was"
"I told you from the beginning, right? We have an agreement. And grandpa broke the deal. Okay I'll let him. But he's a businessman. He knows the consequences of breaking the agreement."
"But it can't be, Lottie. I'm not even wrong here. Where might I choose between you."
"It looks like our conversation is over. I have also said my wish. Clearly. So there's nothing to talk about anymore."
"No, you need to listen first."
"Our business is done. You can go." continued Charlotte.
"Charlotte, don't be crazy. Grandpa's gonna be pissed off if-"
BRACKET!
Charlotte closed the door before Xander finished speaking.
"Wait a minute, Lottie!" xander exclaimed as he banged on the door of his sister's room. "I'm not done talking."
"Go! I want to rest and sleep. My head hurts." Charlotte shouted from within.
For a while Xander was silent at Charlotte's doorstep. He sighed, alluding to himself who could do nothing at a time like this.
Shortly after, Xander turned to leave his sister's room.
