Chapter 18: New War? Bigger than Lykort?

"Vacation?"

"Where?"

"When?"

"Why all of a sudden?"

"Can you ask one-on-one?" allana Protest. He was asked questions after telling Hope and Erica that he was going on vacation. Not a holiday, of course. He'll go to another pack to hide. Last night her mother told me she was going to a safe pack to protect her from Chloe's luna. Allana was reluctant to leave of course, but she had no other choice. If she stays, luna Chloe will perform the ritual again on her.

"Hey, why dumbass? Answer!" Hope pouted seeing Allana suddenly speechless.

"Ah.. Sorry, sorry. I just want to take Hope on vacation. You know I've wanted to take a long walk out of this town. My mom and dad agreed to it."

"Why all of a sudden?" erica asked suspiciously. Erica looked suspiciously at Allana. Erica doesn't know anything about the loss of Allana's wolf soul. Derek didn't tell his pack members anything. The Allana family decided to solve their own family problems.

"I... Uhm... I'm going to visit my family in Europe. They're.. Uhm.. Coincidentally held an event. My other family couldn't come because there was more important business so they asked me to replace them. Of course I'm happy. Who wouldn't want to go on vacation." Allana tried to smile as sweetly as possible. Erica naturally, with her sharp instincts, she was still suspicious of Allana. The other is with Hope.

"So you're going? How long?" Hope started to wash.

"I don't know. I hope it's not long."

"How was your lesson?"

"My parents talked to the teacher about it."

"And?"

"I don't know Erica, they haven't talked to me about it."

"I'll miss you..." Hope hugged Allana tightly.

"I'm Hope too. I'll still be gone tomorrow."

"Ahh I know!!" cry Hope suddenly.

"W-what do you know Hope?"

"Why are you suddenly shrieking like that? Just surprise me." Erica scolded.

"We're gonna have to have a farewell party!"

"Jeez Hope.. I'm just going away for a while, for the holidays, remember? Not forever." Allana patted her jidat.

"I don't care. Anyway we're having a party tonight. Come onl... There were children who had a party at one of their houses. Yea? Yea? It's just the three of us going to the party. Hm?"

"Alright, alright... If you don't obey, you'll whine all day."

"Yay! We're partying!!" pekik Hope's.

"God this kid is so noisy." Erica rolled her eyeballs.

The music sounds loud. Many people started to arrive. They are on almost the entire side of the house. Even in the back yard. High School kids filled the house. The new year's party was held at a house in one of the students where Allana attended school.

"If I had known this was the place, I wouldn't have left." lamented Allana. He was still standing in front of the house, where the party was held.

"Oh come on Allana.. That's the past. Aren't you guys okay?"

"really?" Erica looked in surprise. Allana just stared at Hope for a moment then sighed.

"Yet? You guys haven't been okay? Ohh Allana's.. I'm sorry. I thought you and Kim were fine."

"Good God Hope." Erica patted her eel. "So you did it with Hope?"

"You know, he's still my cousin Er. Are you going to get out of here?" tawar Hope's. Allana breathed again.

"No, that's not necessary. Let's go in." Allana started walking in. Erica prevented.

"Are you sure?"

"Yup, sure. Come on." Allana pulled the arms of her two friends.

Inside the house, very many. Even the claustrophobic, barely able to get in.

"Find a comfortable place, I'll take a drink for us."

Erica walked away while Allana and Hope looked for a slightly elevated place. The music sounds loud. They have to talk loudly.

"Look at those Rugby athletes." Hope spoke rather loudly and pointed to the group of Rugby players. "They look very-"

"How many people have asked you out?"

"Of course."

"Really's? Seriously?" Allana stared in disbelief. "You're getting smart lying Hope."

"Hey! I'm not lying. Well, it's just, I don't want to date the boys at school. Maybe it could be with the men from the school or other cities. Or I'm still opening my heart to your brother."

"Gosh, aren't you tired of chasing Derek? He doesn't even care about you."

"He was my first crush All. I like him from my second grade Elementary School! But he never saw me."

"You know how Derek. If he's not interested, he won't care."

"Yeah, that's how he is."

"So, just find another one. The one your age."

"Stay away. Your sister's charm is so enchanting."

"Basic crazy!" Allana laughs.

"Hi! Well I guess you won't come. I didn't even accept your answer at all."

"Oh.. Hi Ben. Ii'm sorry. I'm just-"

"Yes, yes I understand. You must be busy. It doesn't matter if you've come." said Ben enthusiastically.

"You came alone?"

"No, with those Hyper guys." Ben pointed at his friends who were dancing with incredible vigor. Even their dances look messy. Allana shook her head. "Don't ignore them. Such is. But they're good."

"Yeah, I'm sure of that." Allana smile.

"I'm Hope." Hope extended her hand to Ben.

"Yes, I almost forgot. This is my friend, Hope. Hope, it's Ben."

"Hope."

"Ben."

"He likes to forget me." Hope said. Ben laughs.

"And Hope likes to forget me. Hi I'm Erica." said Erica who just came and brought three glasses of drinking water and distributed it to Allana and Hope.

"Hi, I'm Ben."

"You... New kid, right?"

"Yes, right."

"Which new kid?" hope was confused. "Our school is too much of a new kid."

"He, the new boy. But there are also some exchange students, so they are only temporary in our school. I heard they'll be back tomorrow."

"really?"

"Then the girl, she's new too, right?"

"Girl?"

Hope pointed at Gyria who was standing with Leysha.

"Ahh yes, he's a new kid." Erica muttered unhappily.

"It seems you still don't like Erica?"

"No, I'm fine Hope."

"Don't lie to me Erica. I know how you are."

"But the thing that's taught? New kids tend to be a lot disliked or have no friends, like me."

"Oh no Ben. You're handsome and hot, you'll be fine." Hope replied spontaneity.

"Ahh..okay.it was very... To the point." said Ben with surprise. Allana and Erica chuckled amusedly.

"Allen... I didn't expect you to come to my house."

"Hi Kim."

"A pleasant surprise."

"Didn't you like it? I'll go if you don't like it?"

"Oh All, don't be. I'm glad you came, well at least that's a sign we're okay, right?"

Allana did not reply, just smiling as she could.

"alright.. Please enjoy whatever is provided. Room is upstairs if you want... You know." Kimberly smiled at Allana and then Ben. Allana who understood the meaning of the gaze just twisted her eyes. "I'll stay first. Hi cousin." Kimberly waved Hope and left them.

"He never changes."

"Yup. Let alone you Er, I whose cousin was astonished by his behavior." Hope shook her head.

"Yes, more or less with you." said Erica to make Hope pout.

"You wanna dance?" take Ben to Allana.

"It is with pleasure that Allana will accept." Hope who replied.

"No, no.. I don't like to dance. If you take me to a bookstore or library, I will gladly accept. Where are we going to dance anyway? Look, it's full. I'm going to the backyard. It's crowded here."

Allana walked away from the crowd. His headache began to hurt him again. At least in the backyard not so many people because the weather is quite cold. Although the snow did not fall in the city of Riverville but the cold was so piercing. During her time as a werewolf, Allana did not feel the cold. But now half his wolf soul is gone, even he can't change himself. Now everything was back to normal and he could feel the cold again.

"You know it's cold, right?" asked Gyria who was standing next to him.

"What are you doing here?"

"I know you hate me Allana and I don't know how to make up for all my mistakes but I promised your parents to take care of you. At least that's what I can do."

Allana was silent. He didn't say anything anymore. In his heart he actually did not hate Gyria. He understood, why Gyria did it. If he was in Gyria's position, it was likely that he would also do the same.

From a distance Renald watched Allana. I don't know why he feels something strange about Allana.

"I think Alpha Arthur has said to stay away from the dead." said Ted disperse Renald's daydreams.

"I didn't go near him."

"really. But you look at him, like you're just gonna pounce on him."

"Ugh... Don't overdo Ted."

"Not me but you."

"I-" Renald looked at Ted but his gaze turned to the gammas behind him. "You also think I'm staring at him excessively?"

The gamma nods quickly and compactly. Renald sighed and wanted to explain but Ted quickly cut him off.

"You like it, don't you?"

"What's? I-you're crazy."

"I've never seen you look at a girl like that... What's name? What adults usually say. That's so..."

"It's Ted."

"The insens! Yeah, that.. You're always cut out on girls. But it's different with that girl."

"As far as you are. I don't want to deny or say your words."

"But be careful alpha. He belongs to someone else. Could be just because our girl is fighting again and maybe the war is more than between the pack Lykort and Bykort the other day."

"You should have heard his words." Arthur was standing near them.

"Arthur." said Renald coldly.

"At least of all the fools in your pack, there's one who has cleverness." Arthur sneered.

Immanuel is getting upset. The other gamma tried to calm him down.

"I told you he was mine. You should have understood those words."

Renald still threw away his face. He really didn't want to see Arthur.

"Beauty? Yeah, I know. He is a very strong warrior. That would make her a great luna by my side. My pack is gonna get stronger."

"Warriors? He's a warrior?"

"You don't know? How strange. Aren't you after him because he's a warrior?"

"What are you talking about?" Renald looked at Arthur confused, and so did Arthur.

"Yes, he's a warrior."

Renald turned his face away. He felt that Arthur was hiding something. The warrior? That it? Whatdoes thatmean?

The two of them were silent with their thoughts.

"Rome.." Arthur mindlink Rome's.

"Yes, alpha."

"Is this just my feeling or is there really something different about that warrior girl?"

"Different? How different is alpha?"

"Okay, I don't know. He just looks... Different."

"Sorry alpha but I didn't see anything."

"Maybe it's just my feelings. Forget."

Arthur decided on the mindlink. Allana stared right at Arthur and Renald. The two of them waved their hands together then looked at each other coldly when they realized they were doing that simultaneously. Allana frowned.

"What's wrong with them? Wait, they know each other?!"

"You really should explain to me Allana." Hope stood beside Allana with her hands on both her waist.

"explain? About what?"

"How in such a short time can you be greeted by those three handsome, hot, and exciting boys?!"

"Geez Hope, can't you choose better words than that?"

"That's not important." Hope seemed uninterested in Erica's words. "Who are the three most important handsome men."

Allana chuckles amusedly. While Erica has begun to grow angry with Hope's behavior.

"H wait, looks like they've got a problem." Hope appoints Arthur and Renald. "Don't do it because you're all."

"Don't joke, it's impossible."

"Your friend is right, it's because of you. Or maybe the trigger was you." whispered Gyria who was still standing next to him.

"What do you mean?"

"Look. Alpha Arthur is angry that Renald stares and even waves his hand at you. He keeps saying you're the material. You sure it wasn't the material?"

"Mate?! Allana, you got mate?!" it was Erica who listened to their conversation. Everyone looked at him.

"Jeez Erica you surprised me. Mate? Allana has mate? What is mate?"

"Ah... It's nothing Hope." Allana stared intently at Erica who was now covering her mouth with her hands.

"They went into the forest. Looks like there's going to be a fight. Alpha Arthur looks really mad."

Allana started to panic.

"Can't it be because of me? That doesn't make much sense. But if they fight is it okay?"

"We'd better separate them, right?" whisper Allana to Gyria.

"Wouldn't. I heard they have been fighting each other for a long time so it's free if separated. They'll keep fighting."

"But they can get hurt."

"They're Allana's boys, let it go. That's what boys do."

"No, I'm not calm." Allana follows Arthur and Renald. Gyria and Erica stared at each other.

"Hey All, where are you going?" Hope was confused to see Allana leave without saying anything. "Where else is he going?"

"You follow Allana, let me accompany Hope." whispered Erica as slow as possible but she knew Gyria heard it. Gyria nodded in understanding then chased after Allana.

"Let it be Allana, Hope. Let's get a drink, I'm thirsty."

"But..."

"Come on.. She's doing just fine. Mostly just looking for a quiet place."

"Ahh well."

Erica pulls Hope's hand into the house.

"Allen... Wait!"

Gyria called out to Allana. But Allana didn't care.

"Allen!!"

Gyria runs towards Allana and stops Allana.

"Go away, I must see them."

"No, you're gonna get lost."

"Whatchu mean? I know this forest."

"At night? And when your senses don't work?"

"Well.. I'm.."

"I'll take you to them."

"All right."

Gyria tried to color her eyeballs. Now it's bright blue and shining. Gyria stepped up quickly followed by Allana.

"Are you sure this is the way?"

"You still don't trust me?"

"No, i-"

"Sttitle..."

Allana. Gyria pointed at something in front of her. Allana looked at the direction Gyria was pointing at. The men had gathered only with lighting from their phones.

"It's a complete waste of my time." - Arthur. He sits on a rock.

"You asked, remember? Besides are you too afraid that girl will fall into my hands that you're acting like this?" renald said in a mocking tone.

"Basic jerk!" Arthur laughed in disbelief. "Renald I know you envy me, but you know the terms. He's my sure mate, whether you like it or not, he'll be mine. Uhh! one more thing. He must have felt the same way as me."

"It's so much confidence." whispered Allana. Gyria covered Allana's mouth with her hand. Allana looked at Gyria. Gyria just shook her head then pointed at her ears. Allana nodded in understanding. He forgot they were all werewolves. Of course their hearing is sharp, especially Arthur and Renald are alpha.

"If so. You don't have to be scared and angry when I say hello. I was just being friendly with him. Ahh yes, I don't need to explain anything to you. I don't want to fight just because of the girl's business. Wasting my time. Let's go."

Renald turned around and so did his followers.

"Are you afraid of Renald?" arthur's question brought Renald's steps to a standstill. "Same as before, right? You scared. Basic coward. Once a coward remains a coward, nothing will change."

Renald took his breath, trying to calm down. Then back to walking.

"show? Alpha they're cowards, how's the pack." Arthur and all his followers laughed loudly. But Renald doesn't care, he keeps going.

"The exact same with his cowardly father!"

Renald stopped again. Either the name "his father" bothers him so much.

"Gipz..." Rome tried to remind.

"What's? I'm right! Instead of protecting the pack and his family, his father left the pack to his young son!"

Bukk!!

Arthur was sitting on the ground from Renald's sudden blow. Arthur laughed as he wiped the blood from his lips.

"I know, your father was the trigger. At least now I have a reason to beat you up." Arthur stands. His eyes turned red. "You're gonna die tonight."

Arthur turned into a wolf. He growled violently and prepared to attack. Arthur jumps high, attacks Renald. Renald quickly avoided. Arthur attacked quickly and continuously. Renald was still with his human body trying to dodge.

"Aackhh!!" Renald groaned in pain from Arthur's scratch. But somehow he refused to change. Even Ted and the gammas look worried.

"What are you doing Ren, let's change!"

"No." 

"Are you crazy?! You could die!!"

Renald did not answer. He was busy dodging Arthur's attack. Ted was furious and wanted to help but from across the view Rome had looked at him sharply as if warning him not to interfere. He understood, if he helped, there would be a war between the two packs. While this is just a battle between the two alpha's risking their self-esteem.

"Basic stupid! You think your father would be proud of you sacrificing yourself without fighting properly?! what's wrong with you?! changed!!"

Ted is still trying to persuade Renald. From some distance away, Allana stared worriedly.

"What do they really do?" whispered Allana.

"Fight." Gyria replied briefly and also whispered.

"Yes I know, but they can die. And why hasn't he changed?"

"See what, I believe they're equally powerful. There aren't many alphas that are still teenagers in this world. And they both, quite worthy of being alpha."

"It doesn't matter if they deserve it or not, it matters how to stop them from killing each other."

"It cannot be stopped unless they stop themselves. No one dares to stop them, they're alpha."

Allana grunts annoyed. He doesn't know how to stop them. They look like they're going to kill each other. 

Renald shouted for the second time. This time his back was cut. Renald retreated slowly. Arthur also stopped and stood on the spot in his place and looked at Renald. He wondered why Renald didn't want to change. He knew Renald enough to know Renald was hiding something. But unfortunately he doesn't know what it is. 

Arthur is ready to strike again. He bent his legs, preparing to jump. Renald was standing straight. Arthur jumps high and hits Renald, but not yet at Renald, Renald has turned into a wolf and comes crashing down on Arthur. They were fighting with their wolf form now. Renald bit Arthur right on his back and pushed his body hard. Arthur was rough. 

"AAAAAAAKKKKKKHHHHHHH.....!!!!" 

A loud scream shocked everyone. Arthur quickly got up and chased after the screaming person who happened to be near him. Renald chased from behind. Within seconds, Arthur was already standing in front of the person who was shouting earlier. Renald and others followed. Arthur growled loudly, as if he was going to kill him.

"No Arthur! don't." said Renald who had turned into a human. Arthur growling. 

"D-he's human!" cry Immanuel.

"I know it's Immanuel, but we don't have to kill him."

"Are you crazy?!" Arthur has turned himself into a human. "He's seen us change and knows who we are!"

"But that doesn't mean it's the reason for killing him."

"Don't be too gentle Ren, for god's sake!" peekkit Arthur's. Renald. He knew he would not be able to save that human. The man has seen them. 

"They're not gonna kill him, are they?"

"But he has seen them Allana, seen what they really are. It can be dangerous if others know."

"Is there no other way?"

"Make him a werewolf as well or... Ask a witch to erase her memories of werewolves. But the thing is, I don't think the two packs have any cooperation with witches."

"Where do you know?"

"If they did, they'd ask the witch they knew for help but they'd argue to kill her."

Allana gave a rough breath.

"Do you know who we are? No, what are we?" Arthur asked the man. The human being is just frightened, panicked and confused. He could only address everyone who surrounded him. "He's mute or what? Why is he quiet?"

"He was just shocked and scared. Don't push him anymore."

"Really's? You're gonna defend him? You're weak Ren. Rome!"

"Yes alpha."

"Kill him."

"Good alpha."

Rome was ready to change herself. The man is panicking. He screams no crap.

"He's not mute. He was weak and cowardly. Kill it quickly."

"Good alpha."

Rome turned into a wolf. He growled loudly, making the human even more afraid.

"STOP IT!! ARE YOU GUYS CRAZY?!"

Allana came out of her hiding place.

"Allana?" "Allana?"
