Chapter 2: Who is He?

Allana was still sitting quietly on the ground. He still can't believe who he really is. This is very confusing.

"Allana? The darling? Are you all right?" ask mother. His mother looked worried.

"It looks like he's in shock. Look at that pale face." Derek said. Derek and Alice laughed amusedly.

Allana suddenly got up from her seat and ran away from her family. His mother called many times but Allana kept running and getting into the forest.

"Derek, go after your sister" said his mother.

"Ahh no need mom. Allana just needs time, she'll be fine" Alice said.

"He went into Alice's forest and some days there was an attack from Rogue. That's why we're patrolling, right? Cranks. Hurry up."

Derek nodded then turned into a wolf and left.

"Dad will look for him too. You guys wait at home."

"Tell me if there's a problem."

"All right, baby."

"Alice with me."

"No Alice, it's almost dark. You just stay home and take care of your mother."

Allana's father instantly turned into a wolf and ran into the forest deeper.

Meanwhile Allana was running in no direction. He had always been afraid to go into that forest but this time he did not think long. He just wanted to get away from his family and calm down.

Allana stopped soon. He leaned his body against the tree. He tried to catch his breath. It was getting dark and Allana just realized where she was.

"Ahh why should I run into the forest?! You idiot Allana. Where should I go?"

Allana took her phone out of her jeans pocket and turned on the light. Allana emboldened herself to walk back through the dark forest. There's not even moonlight. There were sounds of birds and wind. Allana so remembered the words of her friend, about the discovery of the corpse in the forest. The forest to be exact.

Allana shudders. Remembering all that made him shudder. He shook his head quickly, he did not want to think about it. Allana walked back. Sometimes he hears voices that surprise him. He's getting scared.

"Aaaauuu.."

The sound of wolves howling. Allana stopped her steps.

"I-it's.. The sound of wolves. Oh no! Wait, is that my family? Ah I don't know. I better get out of here. Yes, I have to go. Wait, so all this time who killed those people... My family?! Oh, my God, this is impossible. My family's a killer?!"

Allana immediately accelerated her pace. All of a sudden..

Bukk!!

A huge wolf landed and stood before Allana and growled softly. Allana's surprised. His heart was beating fast and his breathing was irregular. He swallowed his saliva.

"Derek?"

Allana ventured to ask while watching the wolf. Allana pointed the lamp on her phone at the wolf's body. Allana realized, the color of the wolf fur was pitch black, while the color of the wolf fur Derek that Allana remembered was dark brown.

"You... The crackle?" ask Allana again.  The wolf growled louder and louder. Allana's surprised. Slowly he stepped back. He was terrified, especially as he looked into the wolf's eyes, as if the wolf was ready to pounce on him at any moment.

The wolf's growl gets louder. The wolf started running towards Allana. Allana also started to turn around and run. But the wolf was faster the wolf jumped high past Allana's body and landed right in front of Allana. Allana was shocked and sat on the ground. Face pale. The wolf turned around and looked at Allana then slowly came towards her. There were some wolf howls, making the wolf's footsteps stop.

After the howl came to a halt, the wolf came back closer to Allana.

"W-who are you?" ask Allana.

Meanwhile Derek...

Derek ran through the woods. He's trying to find Allana's smell. The smell was getting closer but Derek's steps stopped. Allana's smell suddenly disappeared and replaced the strong smell of wolves.

'Rogue. Shit!'

Derek ran back. She tried to smell Allana but strangely she didn't even smell it at all.

'Dad... Where's dad?'

Derek tries his father's mindlink but his father doesn't answer. Suddenly there was a sound of a simple howl. Derek silent. He knew the meaning of that howl. The Rogue are gathering their troops.

'Shit!! Allana where are you?!'

Derek's panicking. He was confused to find Allana's whereabouts. Suddenly he flinched.

'You're Allana!!'

Derek came back running after Allana's smell.

The wolf kept walking, ignoring Allana's question. The wolf was ready to bite Allana. He opened his mouth, saw sharp teeth that made Allana afraid. Allana nodded and closed her eyes.

Bruk!!

A sound of dings rang out and a growling sound. Allana opened her eyes and saw two wolves fighting. Allana immediately took out her phone that had fallen not far from her and shone on the two fighting wolves. The two wolves rolled on the ground and tried to bite each other. The black wolf kicked the wolf that attacked him. The wolf crashed not far away and could instantly balance itself. The wolf ran back and attacked the black wolf. Allana just realized, the newly arrived wolf also has a different fur color from Derek. Crane feathers are deep brown. While the wolf's fur is brown mixed with white.

"Is that not Derek?" allana Mumbles.

The two wolves were still fighting until the brown wolf threw its claws at the black wolf and hit the back of the black wolf.

The black wolf groaned in pain and then walked backwards. The black wolf growled furiously but the brown wolf mixed in white growled even more furiously and violently.

The black wolf left Allana and the brown wolf. Allana panicked again. The brown wolf stared at him and came to him. He thought the wolf was fighting for food. The brown wolf was getting closer.

Suddenly another snarling sound was heard. Allana and the brown wolf turned towards the growl. Allana pointed her cell phone light at the growling wolf. The wolf growled while staring at the brown wolf that was in front of Allana. Allana recognized the wolf. The color of the wolf's fur is the same as that of Derek's wolf.

"Derek?" call Allana. The wolf looked. "You really are Derek, right?"

'Of course I'm Derek Allana.' Derek said but Allana didn't hear. Derek looked at the wolf in front of Allana. 'Who are you?! Are you Rogue?'

'I'm not Rogue. I have a pack. I was just passing by and saw the girl being attacked said the brown wolf mixed in white.

Derek looked at the wolf. He doesn't look like Rogue. Derek looked into his eyeballs. Ordinary brown-eyed. The wolf is not removing the wolf's eye so Derek does not know what the wolf is gamma, beta or even alpha.

'Who are you? From which pack?' ask Derek.

'I-'

Not yet had the wolf continued its words, several wolves appeared. They growl in anger.

'Shit! Rogue's army has appeared!'

'Who are they?'

'The Rogue.'

'Why are there so many Rogue?'

'Rogue is always moving and this area is neutral territory. So they are free to enter this territory.'

'Ahh so.'

'Go, I'll protect Allana.'

'Allana?'

'Yes, he. Allana, sister. Go, I don't want to involve you anymore.'

'It's okay. They're plenty. You can't fight them alone.'

The brown wolf ran to attack the wolves. Derek attacked them. One wolf lunged at Allana biting Allana's hand and pulled her away. Allana shouted out loudly. Derek saw that and directly lunged at the wolf dragging Allana. Derek bit the wolf and tore off his paw. But soon Derek was also attacked. Allana got up and ran away. A wolf is chasing him.

'Go then! Protect your sister.'

Derek's confused. He was still fighting with another wolf.

'Hey! Your sister's in danger! Go!' go!!'

The brown wolf stared intently at the crane and his eyeballs changed to make Derek shocked.

'He... The alpha?!'

The blow made him come to his senses from his daydream. The wolf that hit Derek prepared to attack again. But the alpha got in the way.

'Go! Let me handle this.'

The alpha attacked the wolves again. Derek immediately turned around and ran after Allana. Derek was surprised that Allana was already under the wolf that was chasing him earlier.

Derek lunged at the wolf and rolled on the ground with him. Another wolf came and helped Derek. Soon Rogue was helpless. Derek ran away.

'Derek, where are you going?!'

Allana's father who had just come was confused to see Derek who had just left. But he's not after her. He preferred Allana who was crying and shocked.

'Allana let's go home.'

Allana's father approached but Allana was frightened.

'No, no dear this is dad...'

"Go!! Back off..!!" yelled Allana hysterically. Finally, his father changed himself.

"Allana baby, this is dad. It's dad." said his dad trying to calm down. Allana looked at her father then immediately hugged him and cried. "Calm down baby. There's a father here, I'll protect you."

There was a growling sound. Allana and Allana's father looked over. Derek's with them.

"Where have you been?" father says. Derek who was still in the form of a wolf just lowered his head. "Here you go, let's go home. Allana, get on your sister's back. I'll catch up with you."

Derek lowered his body. Allana was doubtful.

"It's okay, Allana, she's your sister. We have to go home before the Rogue-, I mean the wolf father who attacked you earlier came back. I'll be right behind you."

Allana's father helps Allana climb Derek's wolf body.

"Get a tight hold on your sister. Go Derek, now!"

Derek nodded and started running. Allana's father changes himself and follows Derek.

Soon they reached their home. Allana came down from the back of the wolf Derek and went straight into the house and greeted his mother who immediately embraced him. Allana didn't say a word. He still looks shocked and scared.

"All you okay?" ask mother. But Allana did not answer. He stepped into his room. "Allen..."

"Honey.. Let her. Maybe he needs some time" Allana's father said as he looked at Allana who passed away.

Allana went into her room. He was leaning against the door of his room. His feet suddenly went limp. Allana. He put his head on the door.

"What did I just see? A werewolf? They real? And I'm one of them? No, no this is crazy, this isn't real!"

Allana covered her face with both hands. He's aware of something. He saw his right hand that had been pulled and bitten by the wolf earlier. There's a bite there. Skin's torn. But strangely he felt no pain.

"It's peculiar... Is it because I'm a werewolf? No, ahh no, I'm not a werewolf. That's not possible."

Allana gave her rough breath. He didn't know who he really was. He doesn't want to be a werewolf.

"No, this can't be allowed. I have to ask them. Maybe there's a healer or something that keeps me from being a werewolf. I don't want to."

Allana stood up from her seat and went straight out of her room to come to her parents. Allana came down the stairs but only half way through, she heard a voice. Allana slowed down her steps and approached towards the sound.

"Derek doesn't know. He helped protect Allana. Derek thinks he's Rogue just like everyone else. But it turns out she helped Allana."

"Sound.. Are you sure he's not from the Sanchez or Black family?"

"No ma'am, Derek knows their wolf. That's not them. And ahh!! He's the alpha."

"The alpha?!" all the Allana family was shocked.

"Yes, he said he was just passing but when he told Derek to go after Allana, his eyeballs, his eyeballs were red. He's alpha. But Derek doesn't know which pack."

"Alpha... It's weird." muttered Allana's father.

"And it seems young.. Likely Allana's age. But he's strong. Derek's gonna talk to Dwaine's alpha when Derek gets back."

"How many young alpha's in some pack?" ask Allana's mother.

"Which father knows, there are four packs that have a young alpha. One king of the Lycanthrope, from Lykort's pack, Kei Lyroso Laros, then pure-bred alpha, Zach Payne, alpha from Foykolt's pack and alpha from Zykolt's pack."

"Father's right. Derek once met his highness Kei and alpha Zach while helping them fight with Bykort's pack, Roger's alpha pack. But not with Foykolt or Zykolt packs. But Derek heard that Foykolt's alpha just replaced his father, while Zykort's alpha, he's been the alpha since he was a kid."

"Yes, I heard his parents and his two brothers died mysteriously."

"Really dad. Was that boy the alpha of one of those packs?"

"Dad doesn't know Derek, but thank God there's that alpha. Although we do not know who he is and from which pack but he has helped Allana. Otherwise, I don't know how the fate of Allana hasn't changed her shape."

"Then what are we gonna do with Allana?"

"We should teach him right away. He knew the truth and his age was enough. So we're going to train him" Allana's mother said.

"Huh! That kid's a little troubling."

"Alice..."

"What's? That right?! In our family only he can't change. While we've been able to change since childhood but he can't at all, making us have to keep this all hidden and protect him. How troublesome!"

"He's your sister Alice."

"That's the worst news. He's my brother."

"Alice!!" his mother raised her voice.

"Okay.. Alright. Stop the. We'd better get some sleep. The Rogue won't be here and I'm tired. We'll talk about this tomorrow."

Allana immediately returned to her room and locked the door of her room. He heard all the talk.

"Only I can't change? They do this to protect me? They're gonna teach me? Nah! I don't want to!! I don't want to be a werewolf! No!!"

I heard the wolf howl. Allana walked towards her window and stared out.

"Then.. Who helped me earlier? Why it feels so... Familiar?" muttered Allana while staring at the darkness of the night.

"Alpha.." call someone.

"How's Ted?"

"All is done alpha. They've been killed, the rest driven out of here" Ted said.

"good. We're getting out of here."

"But alpha, what about the girl?" ask Ted.

"He's safe with his family."

"Are you sure she's the girl who saved your childhood?"

"Looks. I recognize the smell."

"Is she maybe your mate?"

"That's... I don't know. I don't feel anything. But why don't we stop talking about mate? You kept talking about it as we left the pack" Renald said.

"Hahahaha.. You are seventeen years old. The werewolf will be able to smell and find its mate from the age of seventeen alpha years. So maybe we can find your mate soon."

"Well!! Look who's talking. You haven't found your own eyes."

"But I'm still young alpha."

"You think I'm old?! We're the same age as Ted." Renald said, looking upset. Renald walked away from Ted.

"But you're the alpha, I'm just a beta" Ted said as he caught up with Renald.

"You're so chatty. More chatty than Aunt Agatha."

"Ahh alpha don't equate me with grandma lam-ah no, aunt Agatha."

"But you're right it's just as chatty. My curly butterflies hear your sayings about mate, mate and mate. Makes me not want to go home because I imagine aunty would be chatty about mate again."

"But you have to go home. Tomorrow we have to go to school. Did you forget you were a teenager?"

"Whoaa look at him. You are still a teenager yourself! Never mind, it's hard talking to you. Why is my beta this hot?"

Ted laughed amusedly. Renald turned into a wolf and howled loudly. Ted also changes and soon follows the wolf Renald away with their gamma.
