Renald and Ted make their way to Leysha's prison after one of his men informs him of Leysha's death. Not long before they reached the entrance. Renald's move stopped. He saw Gyria sitting while bending her knees in front of him and hugging him. Gyria lowered her head. I don't know how long Gyria was there and cried. Renald turned to the guard who had been standing by the door.
"How long has he been there?" ask Renald.
"Pretty long alpha. He hasn't stopped crying since. We didn't even know the woman in the cell was dead. Because the girl just cried without telling us." explained the guard. Renald looked at Gyria again.
Before long Gyria's body moved. Gyria raised her head and rubbed the remaining tears on her cheeks. He let out a long sigh then stood up while holding onto the prison bars as he had been sitting in such a position for a long time. His feet hurt a little. Gyria walked towards the outside with a slightly limped path. He said nothing, not even to Renald. He only passed by as the others paved the way for him to pass by. But the next second his body collapsed instantly. Ted deftly caught Gyria's body. Everyone's surprised.
"Why him?" ask Renald confused.
"Looks like he passed out alpha." said Ted.
"Take him to his room."
"Good alpha."
Ted held Gyria behind him and immediately took her away with one person guarding behind him.
"Take the dead girl out of the cell and take her to Harphin's doctor's clinic. I'll catch up soon after checking the border pack."
"Good alpha."
Renald ran away in the followings of a few people. He turned himself into a wolf and surrounded the border of his pack. He even went to an ordinary human settlement to check the situation.
After a while, he returned to his pack. Her aunt was waiting in front of the house.
"Is it safe?" looks of worry on Aunt Agatha's face.
"There is no aunt. Where not. But in the woods a lot of traces. We traveled all the way across the border as well as the usual human settlements. But there's no."
"Alright, just tighten the guard. You go in and rest."
"How's Allana?"
"He was conscious but his body was quite weak. The doctor said he needed a complete rest. He used more power than he should."
"All right then."
"Alpha." one of his men came to him. "The bodies of the attackers have been collected. The last one to die in that prison."
"Alright, prepare everything. I'll be there soon." Renald said.
"Good alpha." said one man, leaving immediately.
"What are you gonna do to those bodies, Ren?" asked aunt.
"Burning them bi. Preventing anything else that would compromise this pack. Auntie just come in. Don't go out of the house just yet. Until it's completely safe."
"Auntie can take care of Ren."
"Renald never said aunty couldn't take care of herself. Just for safety."
"Yes, yeah okay. Aunty's coming in."
"Renald had to go burn the bodies, bi. We'll meet at the meeting tonight."
Aunt Agatha did not answer Renald. Just staring confusedly at the back of Renald. Renald who realized that turned his head back and found Gyria staring at him with a dislike look.
"Gyria?" Renald's confused.
"I won't let you." said Gyria coldly.
"What mak-"
"I WON'T LET YOU!! He doesn't deserve to be treated like that!" cry Gyria with emotion.
"Gyria... Be calm.."
"No, I won't calm down. He's the victim of all this and you're just gonna burn him?! He deserves to be buried well, not burned like a traitor! I won't let it." Gyria opened the sheath from the sword she was carrying and prepared to attack. "even though I have to fight you guys."
The troops that followed Renald around the city began to stand in front of Renald to protect him. Renald walked past one of his troops but was prevented.
"Don't alpha. He might be dangerous."
"Don't worry, I'll be fine." Renald looked back at Gyria. "Gyria, everything will be fine. I burned them to prevent the follow-up from happening. It could be that his body was removing something or something happened, especially if they were to die by being poisoned. By burning them, it would be much safer. I can't jeopardize Gyria's pack."
"He's my best friend, I won't let you burn him. No matter what. Even though I have to fight you."
"You must understand Gyria. I can't choose one person over many. I have to protect my pack. Besides, you won't be able to fight me and I don't want to fight you."
"Then bury him, properly."
"I can't. I'm sorry."
"Then I'll force it."
Gyria runs towards Renald. Some teams blocked it. Gyria did not care and attacked one by one Renald's forces. He did not turn himself into a wolf but his fighting skills even used a sword very fast and even far above average. In an instant he could knock out Renald's army. Renald was surprised.
"You burned my best friend, why don't you just accuse me of being a spy or a plotter. He's my best friend and we're from the same pack."
"I know you're not the same. Please Gyria, I don't want to fight you."
"Then give Leysha to me. I'll bury him myself."
"That way you can't enter this pack area. I can't take any chances."
"I don't care. Give Leysha's body to me!!"
"What about Allana? Didn't you think about it?"
"Allana is not alone. He has a brother and his best friend. Leysha? He's alone, I won't let him burn."
Gyria swung her sword towards Renald. Renald didn't even shy away. But the sword did not reach Renald, someone held his hand.
"Let go!"
"Stop Gyria." Pinta Derek.
"No!" Gyria quickly removed one of her hands from the handle of the sword then held Derek's arm and pulled Derek's body towards him then flipped his body and used his elbow to hit Derek. Derek was surprised because all of that happened quickly. Derek released his grip on Gyria's hand. Gyria is back at Renald. Derek had already managed to stand back up and was now standing before Gyria. This time Derek did not hold Gyria's hand but the sword Gyria swung, causing his hand to be injured. Gyria surprised.
"What are you doing?!"
"Please stop, we can talk about this very well."
"Take it off."
"No. I'm not gonna let you attack Alpha and hurt yourself." Derek said. Blood from Derek's hands dripped. "Gyria, you will never win against him. Everything can still be well talked about."
Derek looked at Gyria, begging to stop her actions. Gyria began to look doubtful. He and Derek were still staring at each other. Gyria turned her face away and released her grip on the sword. Gyria shed a tear then left immediately.
"I'll go after him."
"Not alpha, let me. But I ask, to delay the burning of the bodies. I know you did it for your pack, just for a second. I'll talk to Gyria."
"All right."
"You better treat your wounds." Aunt Agatha wrapped Derek's wounds with her handkerchief.
"I'm fine, ma'am, thank you. Excuse me first."
Derek ran towards the direction Gyria left.
"Why did you have to burn it all?" ask aunt Agatha.
"Auntie knows, if people die in poison, there could be a continuation, like his body will remove the poison in his body and spread through the air. One pack will be hit, even worse, the ordinary human population will be affected as well. The government of ordinary men will investigate."
"I know Renald, I get it. However, it was his best friend from childhood. Regardless of the good behavior. After all, she was told to by Luna Chloe. From what I know about you, luna Chloe is not a good luna. Maybe he had to do it or another reason."
"But bi..."
"renald, better... Just give him the body of the girl. Let him bury her, properly. Had this all happened to Ted, would you have burned his body too?"
"But Ted wouldn't be like that."
Renald. Maybe he's too loud. Maybe he doesn't think like Gyria. He was only worried about his pack and Allana. If Gyria had to go bury her best friend's body, she wouldn't be able to come back.
*******
Gyria stood silently staring at that pile of unmoving humans. It is not far and not close. He was forbidden to approach on alpha orders. There Leysha was still lying. He can't do anything for now. But he promised himself he wouldn't let Leysha's body burn. He doesn't care about the other body. Just Leysha.
Allana saw Gyria from afar. Yes, after hearing all that, he immediately searched for Gyria even though his body was still very weak. He understood very well how Gyria was feeling right now. He also knows that Leysha is innocent. Lesyha had to do all this. He knew Lesya wouldn't hurt him. Allana stepped closer to Gyria. But just a few steps, his steps suddenly came to a halt. Derek's with Gyria. Allana did not continue her steps and just quietly stood up to listen.
"If you come here to persuade me that I agree to burn Leysha's body, you are in vain. I won't change my decision." said Gyria, who noticed Derek's presence.
"I just want to know how you are."
"Isn't that obvious?" sahut Gyria cold.
"Gy"
"No, no. Don't say anything. I will not change my decision. I'll bury Leysha properly, even if I have to fight this whole pack."
"You don't have to be like that."
"They won't change their decision, not mine." Gyria looked firmly at Derek.
"I know Gy, but they have a reason."
"Reason? Huh! All right I got it. Therefore, just give Leysha to me. I'll bury him far away from here, worthily. But they don't allow that either."
"Because if you go out, you won't be able to come back because it could be that the poison is already on you. Allana will-"
"Ahh yes... You're just worried about Allana. Right, that's right. But Allana has you, has you, has Renald, your pack and her friends. While Leysha, only has me. So I don't care if I can come back or not because I know Allana won't be alone. I can take care of myself."
Gyria turned her back to Derek. Her tears fell and she could not help it. Derek knew that and lowered his head.
"I'm not only worried about Allana, but I'm worried about you."
"If you think I'm going to kill myself or stupidly attack Luna Chole, you don't have to worry. I won't be that stupid. But I'll keep replying to him."
Gyria walked away. But the steps stopped. He saw Renald walking to him.
"You can bury him. As the alpha of Zykolt, allow you." Renald said. "But I have conditions. You have to bury him away from this pack. And before you get in here again, you have to get rid of the poison in your body."
"Poisons? But I'm not-"
"I know you didn't drink it, so I brought you a doctor pack here. Doctor Harphin will tell you about the poison from your friend's body."
A middle-aged man came forward and stood on equal footing with Renald.
"Good day, my name is Ryan Harphins. You can call me Doctor Harphins. I checked their bodies. Their bodies contain a different and rare poison, as well as your friends. Only, in the body of your friend there is no Wolfsbane poison like in the bodies of other attackers. Alpha said they managed to stop the girl from eating the poison. It's just that there's one poison and compared to Wolfsbane's poison, it's much more dangerous. Not only for the person who ate the poison, but also the one who was close to the person who was exposed to the poison. Especially breathing her breath. The poison was also more dangerous if the person who ate the poison was already dead. In less than twenty-four hours, the poison would expel the poison and spread into the air. At that time, if we inhale it, we will be exposed to the poison as well. The poison can last a long time in the body of a living person, only react very quickly if added other toxins. But it's different from the dead. The poison will quickly spread and can not be sure when. All I know is less than twenty-four hours. Therefore you can't go back after burying the girl. Because we don't know when you're exposed to the poison. It may not be affected, but you should be careful. Because no one has the antidote."
"There's one guy who has it, Chloe luna. Doesn't matter. I'm gonna go away."
"But the doctor, what, once buried, will there be no problems? I meani... The poison. Will it disappear?" ask Renald.
"To be honest I don't know alpha, but my guess is, the poison won't go away and there's no guarantee it won't spread. The only way is to burn it. The poison will only disappear if it is burned. Even the smoke from the poison's burnt, it's harmless."
"I won't burn it, no matter what."
"Well, if that's what you want. I will not stand in your way." Renald said.
"I'll take him away from here and won't come back."
"But what about Allana?"
"I told you earlier, Allana has her family, her friends even you. While Leysha only has me."
"But what about your mother? Your brother? Aren't you worried?" ask Derek.
"You're not going to throw him out, are you?"
"Of course not. They're already part of the pack."
"Then it's all done. Greet my mother and brother. I'm sure they'll understand."
"Are you sure you're gonna do all this?" Derek.
"Related." Gyria looks certain.
"Well, I'll get everything ready."
Allana was still staring at them all. He wanted to prevent Gyria but, somehow the words did not come out of his mouth.
*****
Gyria stood waiting in the city of ordinary humans. He wondered why not just go through the woods. Gyria stood up, staring at the passerby in front of her. They looked normal, Gyria thought. Sometimes he wants to be an ordinary man. Maybe his life circumstances won't be this complicated.
"What are you thinking?" derek's question made Gyria flinch in shock.
"You surprised me."
"Is daydreaming becoming your hobby now?"
"It's none of your business. Where is alpha. He said I should not exceed twenty-four hours and asked me to wait here. Why didn't it show up?" Gyria was getting upset. Derek flicked Gyria's forehead.
"aww.. What the fuck?"
"He's an alpha, can't he be nice?"
Gyria did not respond to Derek. He just turned his face away. Derek showed the key in front of Gyria's face.
"What else is that?"
"It's a key."
"I know that. What is the key and what is it for?"
"This is the car key. You'll take Leysha's body in a car."
"Gosh, how am I supposed to get him in the car? I can't drive a car! You guys are crazy!"
"Didn't you see me standing here?"
Gyria. So meaning...
"No, no, no. You can't come."
"Don't you say you can't drive a car?"
"That's right but-"
"Then I'll drive and we'll go through the streets where ordinary people pass."
"Wait, wouldn't it harm an ordinary human if the poison were to spread?"
"Before twenty-four hours, the poison is still safe. After all, the city would not be continuously on the highway. I've chosen an area where we can bury him."
"Is it safe?"
"From us? I don't know but from a common man or another wolf, chances are. I've asked the witch for help. I don't know if it's going to work or not, which obviously we're going to keep trying. C'mon quickly. We gotta move fast."
Gyria held Derek's arm as he walked towards the car. Derek looked at Gyria.
"Are you sure you're gonna do this? What about Allana."
"Allana will be fine. And pack members too. Allana asked me to accompany you. Anyway, we won't be long. Our deadline is only twenty-four hours after he dies."
Derek walked back to the car. Gyria remained in her place. He hesitated to involve Derek. Allana needs Derek, too.
"Are you going to stand there or are we going to start going?" tany Derek when she was sitting in the car. Gyria sighed. He seems to have no choice.
