Chapter 39: I Will Burry Her Properly

Renald and Ted make their way to Leysha's prison after one of his men informs him of Leysha's death. Not long before they reached the entrance. Renald's move stopped. He saw Gyria sitting while bending her knees in front of him and hugging him. Gyria lowered her head. I don't know how long Gyria was there and cried. Renald turned to the guard who had been standing by the door.

"How long has he been there?" ask Renald.

"Pretty long alpha. He hasn't stopped crying since. We didn't even know the woman in the cell was dead. Because the girl just cried without telling us." explained the guard. Renald looked at Gyria again.

Before long Gyria's body moved. Gyria raised her head and rubbed the remaining tears on her cheeks. He let out a long sigh then stood up while holding onto the prison bars as he had been sitting in such a position for a long time. His feet hurt a little. Gyria walked towards the outside with a slightly limped path. He said nothing, not even to Renald. He only passed by as the others paved the way for him to pass by. But the next second his body collapsed instantly. Ted deftly caught Gyria's body. Everyone's surprised.

"Why him?" ask Renald confused.

"Looks like he passed out alpha." said Ted.

"Take him to his room."

"Take the dead girl out of the cell and take her to Harphin's doctor's clinic. I'll catch up soon after checking the border pack."

Renald ran away in the followings of a few people. He turned himself into a wolf and surrounded the border of his pack. He even went to an ordinary human settlement to check the situation.

After a while, he returned to his pack. Her aunt was waiting in front of the house.

"Is it safe?" looks of worry on Aunt Agatha's face.

The troops that followed Renald around the city began to stand in front of Renald to protect him. Renald walked past one of his troops but was prevented.

"No. I'm not gonna let you attack Alpha and hurt yourself." Derek said. Blood from Derek's hands dripped. "Gyria, you will never win against him. Everything can still be well talked about."
