Warrior (Shewolf)
Chapter 48: He sacrificed his magic but he abandoned me

"Are you ready, Allana?" ask Jim. Allana nodded. "I'll get you as close as I can on that pack. Maybe they think you're in the alpha house, so that's like a plan. Stay in the city."

"Well, I get it." replied Allana.

"Does it really have to be like this? I can drive him!" said Arthur. He didn't seem willing to let Allana go.

"Son, this is all for Allana's safety. If he goes straight into Zykolt's pack, it will keep him safe" Abe said. Arthur grunts.

"I'll excuse you." said Jim. Allana hugged Abe and nodded softly as Arthur looked at her meaningfully.

Jim held Allana's hand and teleported. Their feet landed perfectly on the ground. They're on the side of the road. A little into the woods. The nameplate of the city of Zykolt is seen behind the trees.

"We're up to Allana. You just stay past-Ugghhh..." Jim held his chest. Her chest hurts. Jim fell on the ground.

"Jim's? Jim's! Whahuh? What's up?!" ask Allana.

"I... Be ill... I'm difficult... Berna's.. Phas.."

Allana panicked to see Jim suddenly in such pain. Shortly a growling sound was heard. Allana could sense that there were some wolves lurking around them.

"Me-mere-ka.. Wh-wh.. Just in case.. In-s-sinn-i. P-per-gil-lah..."

"No! I won't leave you, no matter what." Allana insisted. Wolves appeared from all directions. Allana is ready to change. Jim knew he'd die if he stayed there and they'd take Allana. With the rest of his strength, Jim grabbed Allana and teleported.

Their bodies floated for a moment, then again landed roughly.

"Uhuk! Uhuk!" Jim was lying on the ground. He looked towards Allana who was also lying on the ground with a prone position. But Allana didn't move.

"Allen... A-All-lana!" Jim called Allana. But Allana didn't move. They landed pretty hard earlier because Jim was in a hurry. Jim's trying to move towards Allana. "Allen!!"

There's movement from Allana. Allana moved slowly, she tried to raise her head and then her body by making her hand as a pedestal.

"Allen... You okay?" ask Jim. Allana nodded then crawled towards Jim. Allana helps Jim lean his body against a tree. "I'm sorry. It must hurt."

Allana shakes. "I'm doing fine. How're you? Does it still hurt?"

"No, i... I'm fine." replied Jim. He's setting his breath.

"But why did you suddenly become like that?" ask Allana again. Jim shook his head.

"Eitherway. We weren't in Zykolt's pack but it felt like I suddenly lost my energy and my breath. Weird."

"Not to think about it anymore. The most important thing is that we survived" said Allana. Allana looked around. "Where is this?"

"I'm just thinking about the safest place and here we are."

"But... Where's where?"

"Disprean. Precisely.. In front of Disprea, the city of magic."

Allana frowned. "But I don't see anything here." Allana was still staring around him. There really is no city, not even a single house.

"Magic city, Allana. Which means protected by magic. It will not be seen. A moment." Jim reached into his pants pocket and pulled out his phone.

"Wahhh I don't think witches will have cell phones" Allana said.

Jim laughing. "Yes, that's what a lot of people think. We just rarely use it" Jim said while still fiddling with his phone. "It has. Will is coming."

Before long, Will came out of nowhere. What was clear was that he just appeared, making Allana gawk.

"Hey. Sorry a little long. You guys okay?" ask Will.

"Good." replied Jim.

"You.... Appear from where?" ask Allana.

"From there, Disprea" said Will, pointing behind him, which clearly contained only trees. Allana looked behind Will for a moment then looked at Will. Allana's getting curious. He stood up and walked quickly to where Will had pointed. Allana stood there quietly.

"There's nothing here. Look at!" allana. Will and Jim stared at each other for a moment. Jim stood up from his seat.

"Of course there's nothing for you. Only witches can enter. I can show you if you want, but you won't be able to get in." Jim explained. Allana nodded and stood by Jim.

"Show me" Allana said. Jim cast a spell and swung his hand. Before long appeared a small town with many houses even tall buildings! Allana's eyes grew bigger, her mouth opened. He was really surprised.

"Hmmm... Do we have time for this? Aren't you in a hurry?" ask Will.

"Ahh right. Allana?" call Jim who sees Allana still looks admiring.

"Hm? Ahh yes. Excuse me.. Just... Amazed."

"Yeah, we know." Jim cast a spell and swung his hand again. Disprea disappeared from their sight.

"So.. If I want to find you, I have to come here?" ask Allana.

"Hmmm... Shouldn't. Unique city dysprea. The city is always moving locations and when to move is also not certain. Unlike other magic cities that always remain." explains Jim. Allana nodded in understanding.

"really? What'sthat?" Allana looked enthusiastic.

"Will will explain. Actually this was his idea. Brilliant idea." praise Jim.

"Well.. Not brilliant. Just think about it. All right, the way is to change your face, your aura, even your smell" Will said.

"Huh?? Tu-wait, what? Why don't I understand?" Allana scratched her non-itchy head.

"Other words, you have to create a new identity."

"New identity?"

"Yes, so you can practice without them bothering you. You've been marked, Allana. From your face and smell. Even the witches have cast spells to keep track. I'm sure they're tracking this place. What they don't know is this place is Disprea."

Allana. "Are you sure of this plan?"

"Well is more or less? At least this plan will give you time."

"alright. I'll do it. I should what?"

"Meet the one person who mastered the spell" Jim said. Allana frowned again. Who her?

Dar!!

" Again!" gina's orders. Renald swung his hand and again the sound of an explosion rang out.

"I can't do it anymore" Renald said.

"Are you giving up alpha?" ask Gina.

"But this won't work!"

"So you gave up on your pack."

Renald hardened his jaw. "I'm not giving up on my pack!"

"But you seem to give up. Only by mastering your magic can you return to your pack and protect your pack, alpha. If you give up on magic, you won't be able to protect your pack" Gina said. Renald clenched his hand. She knew she had to hold back her emotions but Gina continued to provoke her anger.

"You know the alpha." continued Gina. "your magic comes from your anger and it's dangerous. Because the more you get angry, the more uncontrollable your power becomes. It's dangerous for witches and people around us" he explained. Renald. Yeah, lately his anger's always got the hang of him. "I know you're a teenager. It is only natural that your emotions are still unstable. But you're not most teenagers. You have a big responsibility. Even though I know it's not your fault. Circumstances that make you like this. But I heard from another pack I know, Zykolt's pack reputation is very good."

"Thank you." said Renald flatly.

"Your life is good enough. Plus your mother sacrificed her magic to protect you. Now it's your turn, protect yourself and your pack."

"Don't mention the woman who left her child as a child."

"You're right. His actions cannot be justified but because of him too you can endure to this very second."

Renald frowned. "Are you friends with that woman? Why so much defense?"

"I barely even knew him. I know Diana and Chris, that's right. But not with your mother. But the story about your mother has spread."

"The story about him leaving his son? Abandoned him?"

"That too. And also the story of how she sacrificed her magic for the sake of her son."

"Why is everyone talking about that? So boring!" Renald grunting. Gina handed Renald a bottle of water and sat down on the grass. Renald opened it and drank it and sat down on the grass.

"But it's true. Your pack protected your mother's magic."

"Of course, she's a witch. He must be using magic, right?"

"Right but what I mean is, the whole magic and that makes him an ordinary human being. Not a witch anymore." Gina's remark made Renald look at her in surprise. "You.. Don't know?" Gina surprised. Renald was silent. He looks confused.

"Ahh you don't know. Is it because of your hatred that you don't care about?"

"It's none of your business" Renald said, annoyed.

"really. That's really none of my business. It's just because he lost his magic, he's not considered by his parents anymore. You know, your grandparents. I'm sure it's been a long time since you've seen them."

Renald remained silent. I don't know why his heart ached hearing all that.

"And Zykolt's protective pack, which took your mother's magic, can only be removed by your mother's family because your mother connected it to her family."

"Why did he do that?"

"For your safety Ren. Not everyone can open it. Even the strongest magician in the world, it took a great deal of strength to open it. Therefore, he connected his family to that protection. This is why all this time the protection is very safe. Different from other protection. But the thing is, your mother's family doesn't consider your mother a part of their family anymore. How could he convince his family to open that protection? I don't know your mother but I'm quite worried."

Gina looked at the sky above her. Renald's chest was rumbling. Worry filled his mind.
