Alan came to the campus to pick up Irene. The food he had packed earlier from the restaurant was deliberately bought for Irene.

Irene sighed. He took the elevator down to the kitchen. He took a bottle of milk from the refrigerator and poured it into a glass and drank it.

"Irene, why do you keep avoiding me?" ask Alan. He felt so tormented being ignored for days by the woman. He also could not focus on working because his mind was filled with Irene. He always wondered what he had done wrong until Irene avoided him.
Irene let go of Alan's embrace. He brought the dirty glass to the dishwasher. Alan still followed him with a sad look on his face.
