Alan drove his car through increasingly deserted streets. Irene daydreamed as she looked at the rows of trees they passed by. Alan started the conversation to distract Irene, "You ready to meet your grandparents?"
Irene smiled, "Yes, I've missed them so much. It's been a long time since I last saw them. But I also feel anxious. How do you explain what happened there?"
Alan placed his hand on Irene's hand, "Don't worry, everything will be fine. Your grandfather and grandmother would understand. Let's explain it together for a while" he said.
Irene smiled in relief, "Thank you, sister. I don't know what I'd do without you."
Suddenly, Alan stopped in the middle of a quiet street and turned to Irene, "There's one more thing I want to talk about before we get there. I want to talk about Hamish."
Irene immediately felt worried, "What's wrong with Brother Hamish?"
Alan shook his head, "No, don't worry. We both know he's still lying in the hospital. I just wanted to tell you that I've put my men there to look after your grandparents. It's for their safety."
Irene widened her eyes, "What have you done? My grandfather and grandmother are old, they won't feel comfortable with the many people around them."
Alan calmed Irene down, "Don't worry, I've already told them about this situation and they are very happy with the presence of my men. They feel safe and secure because there are people who take care of them."
Irene was relieved, "Certainly? Then it doesn't matter" he said.
Alan smiled, "You don't have to worry about things. There I will be ready to share your joys and sorrows with you" he said, kissing Irene's hand.
After a long drive, they finally arrived at Irene's grandparents' house. They were greeted with warm smiles and loving hugs. However, Irene was surprised to see many of Alan's men standing guard around the house.
Alan explained, "Don't worry, they're my men only in charge of keeping your grandparents safe. They are very skilled and are well versed in this."
Irene's grandfather responded, "Ah, so this is what Alan meant. Yesterday there was Hamish's men who disturbed. Alan's helping get rid of them," he said.
"Darling, are you tired?" ask grandma while hugging her granddaughter.
Irene shakes. He struggled spoiled on the figure of the grandmother he missed.
"It's been a long time since we've seen you, Alan. You're getting handsome and dashing like your grandfather" said Irene's grandmother with a smile.
"Thank you, grandma. I'm happy to see grandma and grandpa again after such a long time" Alan replied politely.
Irene who was still hugging her grandmother smiled slightly. He was happy to see Alan so familiar with his grandparents.
"Sit down!" pinta Grandpa.
The two immediately placed themselves sitting side by side in the living room.
"Grandfather, I ...."
From the inside direction suddenly appeared a young man who made Alan and Irene stunned. They were surprised there were others in the house besides grandparents.
"Oh, Elios, come here! Sit down!" pinta grandpa.
"You ... Elios Hector, right?" ask Alan to make sure. He had little doubt that it was like he knew the young man.
"You ... Alan Narendra's? Who used to help me when I was hooked up in Iran?" Elios asked back. The faces of Alan and Irene also seemed familiar to him.
"do you know each other?" ask grandpa terlejut. The question also represented the feelings of Irene and the curious grandmother.
"We met once in Iran, Cake. I had a pickpocket and Alan hit the copet. Then, this lady was Alan's interpreter, too."
Irene turned towards Alan. He doesn't even remember meeting the young man.
"When you tricked me, so was Alenta" Alan quipped in a soft voice.
Irene just understood. It turns out that he also had known Elios with other identities. But he doesn't remember that moment.
"Elios, this is Irene, your sister," said the grandmother.
Elios rounded his eyes. It was unexpected that the woman turned out to be his biological sister.
Irene looked towards grandma.
"He's your brother who's been missing all this time, Ren," said the grandmother.
Irene looked at Elios' face carefully. Their eyes looked at each other. Irene never thought that the handsome young man was her sister. Means that Hamish's speech was true, Irene's sister is still alive.
Irene felt very surprised and happy as well as sad. He did not expect to have any other family besides his grandmother and grandfather. Alan also felt surprised because Elios' face looked so familiar.
"I should sometimes think that Elios is similar to Irene" Alan murmured.
"So, that's Zayn, Grandma?" Irene asked to make sure.
"Yes, Honey. She's your sister, Zayn," said the grandmother.
Irene still had a hard time believing it.
"Your sister was kidnapped. Lucky he saved Hector's family and raised well by them." grandpa patted Elios on the back. He was proud and happy to find his grandson.
Elios developed a smile. "Greetings. Maybe this sounds awkward. But, I also only found out about this fact not long ago. My real name is Zayn Abraham. My adoptive father, Ricky Hector, admitted to it himself that I wasn't actually their real son. Mr. Alberto gave me the address of my grandfather and benefactor" he said.
"Alberto told Grandpa everything, Ren. I'm glad you could be with Alan. Don't deal with Hamish anymore" grandfather asked with a deep sigh. There was a look of disappointment implied on his face.
"I'm sorry, Cake. Brother Hamish is still in a coma but I'm staying" Irene said.
Grandpa tried to smile. "It's okay. It was his own fault. What matters is that you're okay. After all, Alberto would definitely take good care of her. Your aunt also tried to help care for Hamish there. Just focus on yourself."
Instantly the mood turned silent. They feel bad for each other. Irene knew that her grandfather also still cared about Hamish even though his behavior had gone too far.
