Women Owned by 5 Young Masters
Chapter 238: The Rejection

"What's? He's from Abraham's family?" indira asked with a surprised look.

"Is there a problem, Ma?" Alan asked in astonishment.

"It looks like the problem is your grandfather, Alan! Could he bring Abraham's daughter to our home? Even intending to match you? That's totally crazy!"

Indira felt sorry for praising the beauty of the woman on Alan's phone. Had he known from the beginning that she was from Abraham's family, he would have scolded her and made fun of her.

"What's the matter if Irene comes from Abraham's family, Ma?" asked Alan curiously.

"That family made mom and dad like this, Al!" Indira said in an annoyed tone.

"But, Irene's parents are long dead, Ma. There's no way they're doing it" Alan said. Although his relationship with Irene is lacking, Alan disagrees with Irene being vilified. All this time Irene's attitude was very good in addition to the identity lies that were done.

"On the part of Abraham's family who had made mother and father like this. Maybe also his grandfather did that," said Indira.

Alan still can't believe it. Abraham's grandfather looked good in his eyes.

"Maybe he deliberately inserted his granddaughter into our family in order to re-destroy our family. Cancel your engagement, Al! I don't want any more contact with Abraham's family!"

Alan was silent. He did not know about the events that had happened in the past. It seems unlikely that it happened. Her grandfather and Irene's grandfather were best friends. That's what he believed until grandfather loved Irene very much and hoped to make the woman a granddaughter-in-law of grandfather.

"Alan, you want to follow Mama's will, right?" ask Indira.

"What is that, Ma?"

"Decide your engagement!" indira Tejat.

Alan took a long breath. "We'll talk about this next time, Ma. I'm going to Papa's room for a second" he said.

Alan deliberately made up that excuse to avoid a longer debate with his mother. He really couldn't take a stand against his relationship with Irene.

Irene had just arrived at her grandparents' house. He immediately wrestled spoiled to the figure of a grandmother who he thought was always soft.

"You're this big still like a kid, Ren," Grandma said.

Irene pressed her arms against her grandmother's. "I want to be back small so I can wrestle spoiled with grandma like this" said Irene.

"You it's time to get married. Grandpa and grandma can't wait to see you put on a wedding dress at the wedding and give birth to cute babies so we can play with them" she said.

"She said she wants me to get married at 25? I'm still 22. Not yet graduated from college," Irene protested.

"If you go to college, when will you finish? Indeed two previously unsatisfied undergraduate degrees?" sahut the grandfather who still enjoys his cigar by the window.

"Grandfather himself sent me there. I automatically have to pretend I'm in college to look normal, cake?" irene Kilah.

"Let them know that you are smart. What is wrong with women who can graduate college 2 degrees at a young age? That's a plus for you. They should know that grandfather's granddaughter is not just any girl."

"I'm afraid they're inferior, Mother. Even I sometimes feel like I don't need to get married because I have everything."

Grandpa bobbing head. His grandson had indeed become a riotous culprit after returning to the water.

"Alright, Cake. It's also free to argue with this smart kid. We're going to lose" said the grandmother.

"As much as you!" grandpa surrendered. He sucked his cigar again and turned his attention out the window.

"Mom, tomorrow accompany me to the tomb of papa and mama, yes!" Irene Pinta.

"Said Brother Hamish wants to come to see his grandfather and grandmother. Is he hard here?" ask Irene.

Grandpa and Grandma looked at each other.

"Yes, your cousin brother did come here a few days ago" said grandfather.

"Sister Hamish doesn't talk weird, does he?" Irene asked to make sure.

"No, what kind of strange thing is he going to talk about?" Grandpa seemed to be trying to cover up what was happening.

Irene woke up from her sleep. He was thirsty and wanted to go to the kitchen to get a drink. The middle room of the lamp is still on. He stopped his steps when he heard a serious-sounding conversation from his grandparents.

"I thought about Irene's fate in the future" said the grandmother.

"What are you thinking? Irene's gonna be fine. She is getting married to Alan soon. He is a good man" replied Grandfather.

Irene was surprised that they were talking about her.

"What if he finds out that matchmaking is just to make it easier for us to find Zayn?" ask grandma.

Irene was stunned to hear Grandma's words. His sister's name was mentioned.

"He won't know if no one's telling."

Irene recalled her request that she look for her sister, Zayn. So busy with the problems experienced so far, Irene forgot to find the whereabouts of her sister.

"Irene is big. We better just say everything. Don't let him know from others," said grandma.

"Not now. Wait after Irene gets married." Grandpa defies grandma's wishes.

"Why are you acting like that? It's like we're using Irene. Even though he's not our biological grandson, let's hope he finds out that we love him."

Irene's tears involuntarily dripped upon hearing that. He stopped going to the kitchen and went back to the room. He huddled up in his bed crying.

The srek!

The sound of the door opening. Irene wiped her tears even though her sobbing had not stopped.

"Irene, are you asleep?" ask grandma.

"It's granny, but I woke up, I had a nightmare" he said.

Grandma also threw herself behind Irene. He hugged Irene as he used to do when Irene was a child.

"Grandma will sleep here with you so you won't be afraid anymore."

"Mom," call Irene.

"Why, granddaughter?"

"Grandma and grandpa would never leave me, right?" ask Irene.

"Of course not. What are you talking about? How could your grandparents leave you" said the grandmother.

Hearing Grandma's reply, Irene felt a little calmer.
