"Oh, who is this?" indira asked when she saw the arrival of a woman next to Alex.
"Erika, Auntie," answered Erika with a smile.
"Oh, is this Alex's girlfriend?" telisik Indira's.
"He's my friend, Ma. My best friend," continued Alex to avoid misunderstandings.
"Ah, yes ... Come on, please come in, Erika." Indira invited the two in.
"Thank you, Auntie," replied Erika.
As they entered the living room, it was already seen that Alfa, Arvy, and Ares were already there. They stared intently at the entrance as Alex and Erika entered the house.
"Well, look who's coming? Detainees just happened to be visiting our house, huh?" syndicate Arvy. He could not help but hide his regret.
"Arvy, don't talk recklessly. Alex is your brother. Don't aggravate this situation with inappropriate words!" bent Vito who had just come out of his room and listened to the spicy words that were thrown from the mouth of his fourth child.
Alfa gritted her teeth, feeling displeased by Alex's presence. So did Ares who threw away his face and chose not to care about their existence.
"You all have to respect each other and give Alex a chance. Everyone can change and learn from their mistakes. Let's try to maintain the harmony of our family" advised Indira.
Alex only fell silent to receive a rejection response from his brothers. Meanwhile, Erika also felt uncomfortable being there.
"You guys still want to act like this?" reprimand Vito. He was disappointed to see his children hostile to each other.
"Come on, tonight we'll have dinner together. Wouldn't it be unpleasant if the atmosphere was like this?" persuade Indira. He also wants his children to get back together.
"Alright, we should all strive to deal with this situation with adulthood. Let's try to have a good dinner tonight" said Alfa, giving in a bit. Although he still does not like what Alex did first, he tries to appreciate the existence of his father and mother.
"Arvy, Ares," call Vito to code.
Arvy still looks unsatisfied, but he refrains from worsening the mood again. He nodded in agreement, though still looking annoyed. "Well, I won't comment. But don't expect me to take her whereabouts for granted" he said.
Vito looked at Arvy sternly. "Arvy, we're not asking you to accept Alex's sudden existence, but at least give Alex a chance to mend his relationship with the family."
"Yes, yes, yes ... It's up to Papa. When will dinner begin?" Arvy tried to shift the subject.
"Sister Alan and Irene have not yet arrived, brother," said Ares.
"Already, this afternoon Mama had called Irene directly," said Indira.
"At least Brother Alan is lazy to come because there are inmates in this house!" chirps Arvy.
"Armie!" once again Vito snapped at his son who liked to talk recklessly.
The atmosphere became tense again, but they all agreed to try to have dinner with an open attitude. Despite the dislike that still exists between them, they know that family is important.
"Already, already! Let's just wait for them in the dining room. Mama's sure they're coming" Indira asked. He was a little confused to hear the discussion at his house.
They sat around the dining table, with a rather awkward silence. But, with time, they started talking, trying to forget their differences for a while. Indira lovingly guides the conversation, trying to create a warm and familiar atmosphere.
"It seems I'm no stranger to Erika. Did we ever meet?" ask Indira to liven up the atmosphere of dinner there.
"Yes, Aunt. When I was a kid I used to play here with Alex" Erika replied.
"Oh, can't you be a tomboy who likes to climb trees behind the house?" guess Indira.
Erika smiled widely. "Yes, Aunt. That's me" he answered.
"You're Mr Revaldi's daughter?" ask Vito.
Erika nodded. "Yes, Om," he answered.
"Want, Pa. It doesn't feel foreign. Now she is also big and beautiful" Indira muttered.
"Sorry, we're late!" exclaim Alan.
In the middle of the dinner, Alan and Irene finally arrived. Indira was happy to see the presence of both. He immediately got up from his place and hugged his son and daughter-in-law.
"Honey, come on, you're coming to dinner with us" Erika asked.
Both according. Alan's eyes met Alex's. He felt unhappy. Alan deliberately turned his attention elsewhere.
Despite the tension still felt in the air, the family is committed to resolving their differences with adulthood and trying to mend relationships with each other. The dinner is their first step in the family reconciliation process, though challenges and obstacles may still be waiting ahead.
