Chapter 320

Alex sat alone in his study, glued to his thoughts. His face was full of worry and confusion. To her, Erika was someone meaningful and special in her life. However, he was too afraid to express his feelings honestly. The conflict within him made him contemplate a difficult choice.

That was when, the door of her room slowly opened and Irene walked in with careful steps. He looks at Alex who looks tangled and confused, and tries to figure out what is going on.

"Oh, you're coming, Ren?" greet Alex.

"I was told by Alan to come. But, he had a little business. So, I stopped by your room for a bit, brother."

"Then, sit down!" Alex got up from his place and pointed Irene towards the sofa of his room.

"Erika told me so much, sister. She was crying too" Irene said without further ado.

Alex could only shut up.

"Honestly, is it that Alex really has no feelings for Erika?" Irene asked to make sure.

Alex raised his head, his eyes filled with uncertainty. He felt nervousness and hesitation approaching him as Irene revealed the events that had happened.

"Irene, i... I don't know what I'm supposed to say. Erika is someone who means a lot to me. I don't want to lose him as my best friend."

Irene felt anxious with that ambiguous answer. "Sir, answer for sure, dong! Does she like Erika or not? Don't wear friends' frills."

"We have always been friends."

Irene took a long breath. "Sister Alex, Erika is facing a difficult situation. He wants to know the truth of your feelings. Do you really have no sense in him?" he repeated the same question.

Alex was silent for a moment. "I... I don't know, Irene. Perhaps, all this time I had suppressed my feelings towards her. I really appreciate Erika. Erika's position has never changed in my heart."

"Sister, you have to consider what you really want. Are you willing to see Erika marry the man of her family's choice? After that your relationship will no longer be the same" Irene advised.

Alex is worried. "I don't know, Irene. I don't want to lose him, but I don't want to hold him in a happiness that doesn't suit his heart."

Irene took a short pause, letting their words be absorbed into the silence of the room. She knows how complicated the situation is, and she wants to help Alex find clarity in her own heart.

"Consider carefully what you really feel for Erika. Don't let fear get in the way of your happiness and happiness. If you really care about her, then it's good that you express your feelings. But, if there really isn't, then leave Erika."

Alex looked at Irene with a mixture of hope and anxiety. His words seeped into the heart.

In the middle of the conversation, Irene's phone rang. A call came in from Alan.

"Hello, Brother?" greet Irene while bringing the phone closer to the ear.

"Where are you?"

"I'm in Alex's room for a minute." Irene shut her mouth. He slipped.

"What's? Why are you there?"

As expected, Alan would definitely be angry to hear that.

"There's a business for a minute, okay. It's I'm done" Irene said.

"I told you to wait in my room. Why is it there?"

Irene turned off her phone. "Then, yes, Brother! I'm looking for Alan!" said.

"Wanted or scolded?" alex Ledek. "He must be mad you came here, right" Alex guessed.

Irene just laughed. "Easy! I can handle it myself."

"I'm sorry, Ren, I was so bad to you. And thank you all this time you've been supporting me" Alex said. He recalled his previous actions to Irene.

"The things that have passed do not need to be revealed anymore, Brother. I believe you can be a better person" Irene said optimistically. "I'm first, brother!" pampered.

Irene rushed to Alan's room, where Alan was already sitting with a pouting and annoyed face. Irene felt the need to ease Alan's anger, so she approached and hugged him tenderly.

"I'm sorry, honey. I didn't mean to upset you. I just need a moment to go to Alex's room to discuss Erika's matter" Irene said as she hugged her husband affectionately.

Alan looked at Irene with a mixed expression between annoyance and curiosity. "Why do you have to go to Alex's room to discuss Erika's problem? Can't you talk about it somewhere else?"

Alan was always upset whenever he saw his wife close to another man even his own brother. He knew Irene wasn't a woman who liked to spread charm. He knew his wife only loved him. However, the possessive side in her was sometimes unwilling to share Irene's attention with others.

Irene let go of the hug and replied gently. "I know you're upset, honey, but trust me. There's a good reason why I had to meet Alex. We're just discussing Erika's problem, nothing else."

Alan let out a long sigh, trying to ease his anger. "Alright, tell me what's going on."

Irene explained clearly that Erika was crying in front of her and poured out her heart. She wants to make sure that Alex has no feelings for Erika and is willing to accept if Erika is married to her family's choice.

"I felt it was important to tell Alex what Erika was feeling. I want to make sure that she knows that Erika is having emotional difficulties and is considering a marriage that she doesn't want."

Alan still looked annoyed, but hearing Irene's explanation made him feel calmer. "I remain annoyed that you ignored my request to wait in my room, but I understand your good intentions. Keep your relationship with Alex within the right limits, huh?"

Irene nodded with a smile, relieved that Alan was starting to soften. "Of course, hon. I know the limits. After all, Brother also knows my nature."

"All right, I believe you. Come on, hug again!" pinta Alan spread out both hands.

They hugged each other, fusing the tension between them. Irene was relieved that Alan finally understood her good intentions, while Alan felt calmer because Irene did not involve herself in complicated situations.

They also kiss lightly but gradually Alan seems to be more provoked to do more. His hands were already swaying around Irene's body.

"Darling, Honey ... Stop over. You forgot we're still in the office?" Irene Tease. He held Alan's hand that had perched agilely on one of his breasts.

Alan took a remote on the table. He pressed it so that the door of the room was locked and the blinds of the glass windows closed themselves.

"If you remember, we've never done it in the office, right?" alan asked with a meaningful look.

"What the hell, Brother! Hunting for lunch, let's go!" take Irene.

Alan pulled his wife's waist until their bodies were attached. "One time, my dear. Okay," rayunya.

Irene shakes. "Later you can't concentrate on working if we do here. You will continue to be shadowed even not focused on work," he said.

Alan hugged his woman tightly. "Leave it! I can call you to come if you want to be like this." he seemed to have been swept away in his own fantasy.
