A quiet nighttime atmosphere envelops the company as Alex crosses the lobby. In the middle of his steps, he was greeted by Mr. Jono, a company security guard who had known him for a long time.
"Good night, Mr. Alex. Working late again today?" ask the company security guard when Alex walks through the lobby.
Alex smiled at the smile. "Yes, Mr. Jono. Can the night shift again?" askalanya.
"Yes, Sir. How to grow, many companies are overtime lately? Is there another problem?" ask Mr. Jono worried. He was once threatened by PHK when the company's condition was not good.
"It's okay, sir. Usually, if there is a change of leadership it does need adjustment so many are overtime so that the data is synchronized," said Alex.
"Don't be like before, yes, sir. I prefer Mr. Alex like this" Mr. Jono said.
Alex smiled at me. The security guard has been working there for a long time so it must know how it performs so far.
"Well, that's Erika's mother also just came out" said Jono.
Alex looked back. Erika walked towards him.
"Good night, Miss Erika. Just wanted to go home, huh?" ask Mr. Jono.
Erika smiling. "Yes, Sir. I go first, yeah."
Alex stunned. Erika did not greet him at all. Even Erika's gaze didn't seem to see her there. Erika just passed by them.
"Mother Erika's future husband is handsome, sir. His face is so cute. I saw him pick up Erika a few times" said Mr. Jono.
Mr. Jono's words make Alex's feelings more curious. He followed with his gaze the direction of Erika's movement. Through the window, he saw Erika approaching a yellow car. A man got out of the car while giving flowers to Erika, and they hugged. A feeling of heat ran through Alex's body.
Although she knew the man was Erika's future husband, yet seeing their closeness made her feel bad. Alex feels that the man has exerted a bad influence on Erika, a friend of his. Alex's thoughts drifted to Erika's potential in the business world, but now she was about to hand it over to the man.
However, a tougher decision awaits Alex. Erika will leave the company and follow her husband. Alex must let Erika, a person of value to him, go and go his own way. He will also lose a true friend.
Erika approached a yellow car. A man came down from there giving flowers and hugged. There's a sense of heat running through Alex's body.

The atmosphere of the company lobby felt so quiet as Erika passed by. His hesitant steps sounded faintly amidst the roar of corporate life running around him. Erika's eyes were fixed on the company's security guard, Mr. Jono, who was standing tall with a warm smile on his face.
"Good night, Miss Erika. Working late again?"
Erika composed a fake smile on her face, as if not feeling the tremors of her erratic heart.
"Good night, Mr. Jono. Yes, there's important business."
Erika tried to convince herself that this meeting was just a coincidence and that nothing was suspicious. But his heart rumbled, hoping that Alex would not see his discomfort. However, in the blink of an eye, his gaze moved towards Alex who was standing near Mr. Jono.
In that second, Erika felt her blood freeze. As if time had paused for a moment, he was fixated on the spot. Erika tried to get rid of Alex's presence in her mind, trying to ignore him with all her might. He pretended not to see Alex, as if he was an invisible figure in a stressful lobby.
"Mum Erika's husband is very handsome, Mom. His face is very white. I saw him pick up Erika a few times."
Mr. Jono's words hurt the wounded Erika. He tried to contain the overflowing jealousy within him. As if unconcerned, Erika continued her steps towards the lobby exit, leaving Alex in an unspoken void.
In a luxurious yellow car, Erika sits next to Edward, her future husband. The air was tense, but smiles were forced to decorate their faces. They look like a harmonious and loving couple.
"How's your day? Is everything going well?" ask Edward.
"Yes, pretty. A new project is underway and quite challenging" Erika replied.
Edward clasped Erika's hand tightly, trying to give her the support and security she needed.
"You're amazing at your job. After marriage, we will do business together" said Edward, kissing the back of Erika's hand.
The man's treatment was so romantic, something he had never felt before. Erika spends her wasted life loving Alex without feeling the same way. There was even a man as good as that still could not melt his heart.
"We go to the jewelry store first, huh?" take Edwar.
Erika smiled. "Can."
Edward immediately drove his car out of Erika's company parking lot. They want to go to one of the shopping centers to buy jewelry for wedding purposes.
Edward continued to hold Erika's hand as they reached their destination. He tried to get the woman to talk and make her comfortable.
They haven't known each other for long. The marriage plan is also the result of the matchmaking of both families.
"Which one do you like?" edward asked when they were at the fancy jewelry booth. Edward gives some fantastic diamond necklace options.
"Everything is good, pick one for me" Erika asked.
Edward smiled. "I tried to put it on your neck first" he said.
Erika nodded. He grabbed her hair and pointed it to one side so that Edward could easily pair it. After the necklace was attached, Edward suddenly kissed her.
"You look beautiful wearing that" he said.
Erika smiled clumsyly.
"So, which one will you flatten?" ask the shopkeeper.
"Ah, I took all these," said Edward lightly pointing at the jewels he had asked to see.
Erika widened her eyes. "Why bought them all? This one is enough, Edward," he said.
"It's okay. I want to buy it for my future wife" Edward said.
"Please get wrapped up right away and total how much everything is. The necklace that my future wife wore was counted, no need to be packed," Edwar told the shopkeeper.
"Good, sir."
"Erika!"
There was a loud enough call until Erika turned her eyes towards the voice. Alex was there.
"Who is he?" ask Edward.
"My office friends" replied Erika.
Alex walked towards Erika. Without anything, he pulled Erika's hand and brought Erika running fast.
"Alex, what the fuck are you?" asked Erika in shock.
He had to keep pace with Alex's quick pace. He looked back, Edward was chasing him. Alex, however, kept him running faster.
