20 Years Adrift
Chapters 101. Handsome Lecturer

Affan wakes up early in the morning and takes Aira for a walk in the side garden. They all checked the location to be used for the burning event later at noon.

He also asked male and female workers at his home to take part in the burn-out event. Affan wants to enjoy togetherness as an expression of gratitude for all the favors they receive. Despite having different statuses but they were already considered like family by him.

Before the show starts, Affan and Aira go to the workspace to continue the unfinished design. They had finished their breakfast and were waiting for their housekeeper to shop. Bi Sumi specially prepared the equipment to be used.

"There's no need to rush, honey. The design doesn't have to be finished today. Later we can also continue after burning," Affan said when he saw Aira was very focused on the design.

There was nothing she could do but see Aira's tiny hand moving the pencil and fusing the lines.

"Nanggung, Mommy. It's a little more done. I just need to add the details here and shift this section only. It's over, it's over" Aira explained.

"Very simple but interesting. I'm gonna show this to my client, I hope he likes it." Affan propped his face with both hands while watching Aira work.

A very rare sight where Affan found the very serious face of Aira. This very rare moment was captured with his laptop camera without Aira's knowledge. If he saw Affan take his picture, Aira would lose her concentration.

The more days, Affan's feelings of love for Aira get bigger. His heart grew more confident and believed that Aira was the soul mate God sent for him. So far Affan has always been patient and undergoes the test of his life sincerely.

"Beautiful," murmured Affan.

His eyes continued to be fixed on Aira not on the result of the design he fixed.

Aira guessed that Affan praised the results of his work. He did not know that Affan was currently looking at him with great admiration. It didn't take long, Aira had completed the repairs she had made.

Affan still looked at Aira while dumbfounded. She only regained her senses when Aira waved her hand in front of her face.

"Ah, you're done, honey?" affan asked with a slightly nervous speech because he was caught daydreaming.

"Mas Affan is sleepy, huh? From that day on," said Aira.

Affan immediately waved his hand before speaking.

"No, no! I'm dumbfounded at being fascinated by you," Affan honestly.

"Since when did Mas Affan get to fight?"

Intentions want to tease Aira, Affan even made a blush. He no longer wanted to continue his appeal. It's hard to be a romantic guy.

Aira decided to go near the pool. There's a lot of it. The whole house is there.

Faya and Sarah were seen swimming while the others were in a side garden. Affan deliberately arranged it so that people who were in the side garden could not immediately look into the pool. After finishing swimming, Faya and Sarah will follow to the side garden.

After taking a look at the side garden, Aira brought a glass of juice and went to the poolside to catch up with Faya and Sarah. Both of them were swimming and didn't see it coming. They had only seen Aira when the two pulled over.

"Where's the father, Ma?" asked Faya while taking off her swimming glasses.

His hand grabbed the bathrobe and walked out of the pool. Sarah followed him in the back. Long enough they swim and will repeat it again next time.

"He joined the others in the side garden." Aira knew Affan definitely did not want to go to the pool because there was Sarah who was not her mahram.

Seduced by the fruit juice in Aira's hand, Faya lowered her head and sipped it. No feelings from him. Since before Aira married her father, Faya often shared drinks with Aira.

"All right! Sarah and I changed first. Mama if I leave is okay, right?" tanya Faya was afraid that Aira still wanted to be accompanied there.

"It's okay. Go!" Aira had no problem being left there alone. He still wanted to enjoy the view in that pond.

Affan did not catch up with her because he thought Faya was still there with him. When Faya and Sarah come to the park next door, she realizes that Aira is not with her. I don't know how long Aira hasn't been with Faya.

"Darling, where's your mama?" ask Affan in wonder. The fear of loss came back to his heart.

"I think I'm back here. Mama was in the pool with me" explained Faya.

Without asking much more, Affan immediately left the side garden. He followed Aira to the pool. His face seemed to panic even more when he did not find Aira there.

Affan kept circling around looking for Aira's whereabouts but he did so without a sound. He did not want the entire house to be panicked and their gathering event was chaotic. The whole corner outside the house he had been looking for but Affan did not find it either.

'Could Aira have gotten into the house, huh? Relax Affan, calm down. You can't panic. Aira's not going anywhere.' Affan tried to calm himself.

Not wanting to lose track of Aira further away, Affan walked quickly inside the house through the back door. He walked around from the living room, living room, work room and kitchen. There was no Aira there.

The only place Affan had not checked was their own room. Affan's hand grabbed the doorknob hesitantly and opened it slowly. Affan did not immediately see the situation in his room fearing that the reality he got was not as expected.

There was no Aira there. Affan walked gontai towards his bed. His legs felt limp as if they were not boned. Then, Affan dropped his body by the bed while ruffling his hair because he felt confused and frustrated.

As he was completely dispirited, Affan heard the sound of water gurgling from inside the bathroom. His facial expression changed quickly and reappeared in hope if the gurgling sound was of Aira bathing. Affan walked back and forth in front of the bathroom, he couldn't wait to see his user out.

"Mas, are you here?" tanya Aira was astonished when she saw Affan in the room.

"Alhamdulillah!" affan exclaimed loudly and a happy countenance.

Aira still looked confused but she was trying to act ordinary.

"Why, Mas? Is something going on?" ask Aira to know.

"No, Honey. I'm just afraid you're leaving me. I was looking all over the house for you, but I didn't find you." Affan said the reason for his anxiety.

"where possible. I just go to the bathroom and get ready to follow you to the side garden" Aira explained.

Now Affan's face looks timid. His excessive worry made him look like a fool. He was unceasingly grateful at this moment.

They had left the others long enough. Everyone must be confused looking for them if they do not return immediately. The two immediately rushed towards the side garden to join the others.

Everyone looked at Affan and Aira. Affan had no recollection of how long it took to leave them, which was obviously quite a long time. Now all prepared food is almost finished being burned.

"Dad, when do we start eating?" asked Faya from a distance in a half-screaming voice.

"Now. Everyone, please start eating! We enjoyed eating together. Bismillah" Affan said, asking everyone to take his food.

The mood sounds rowdy. They took food while joking with each other. Unmade familiarity makes them look very harmonious.

Affan and Aira waited for the queue to be somewhat leisurely while fixing the fish and meat that was almost finished. After this nothing else needs to be burned again.

The aroma of the spices that are roasted by the embers makes Aira can not stand to eat it immediately. It was obvious he swallowed his saliva as he held back to wait for Affan to finish. Knowing that Affan asked him to go eat first.

"Darling, you go eat. This let me fan. A little more ripe." Affan repeated his words.

"All right! I'll be right back here." Aira walked towards the long table where the fish and meat that had already been roasted were served and laid out.

He took a fairly large fish along with lalapan and sambal. On the side of her plate, Aira put down the white rice. Not to forget he brought a glass of juice to overcome thirst in the middle of his meal.

"Mas, I'm a bribe, huh?" aira asked as she thrust her first bribe into Affan's mouth.

"Later you're not full" Affan said, hesitatingly accepting Aira's feed.

"Can, I'll add it." Aira reassured him.

Affan finally accepts Aira's bribe. Food tastes better when enjoyed together. After getting a bribe from Aira, she became lazy to take her own food.

Faya, who was finished with her food and had also washed her hands, came to Affan.

"Basic big baby. I don't want his hands dirty. Uda, Ma, let's eat alone." Faya cut off her father.

"Why do you want to, honey?" Affan did not want to give up on Faya.

"Not good too spoiled same wife. Later can be the same with his son. Kan, pity my sister will be less attention." Faya lowered her head, rubbed and looked at Aira's stomach up close.

Aira smiled at the continuing silly debate between father and son. They continued to jest and reveal what they wanted to say without embarrassment. The romantic side of Affan and Aira makes his assistants feel amazed by the different age couples in front of him.

Aira really feeds Affan until both of them are full. As Faya said, Affan was happy because his hands were not dirty. His stomach suddenly became full.

There are still plenty of fish and meat that has been cooked. Affan asked them to add. If he was completely full, he asked to give the food to an outsider.

His male employees obeyed his orders and distributed the fish and meat that was still intact to them. Before it was shared, Affan asked Bi Sumi and the others to pack it well. They store it in a plastic box and then complete it with sambal and lalapan.

This way, male employees can easily share it. There were some complex guards and scavengers passing by. The rest they give to anyone who wants it.

"Alhamdulillah, everything is full. To clean up the tools later in the afternoon." Affan did not want to make his assistant feel exhausted.

They all went back into the house to rest. Aira goes to her room while Affan goes to work to clean up her messy files. Tomorrow he should start working.

It did not take long, Affan was finished and immediately left to catch up with Aira. When she reached the room, Aira was already sound asleep with a pencil and paper in her hand. Affan took it and put it on the table.

Affan was also very sleepy. He then lay down beside Aira. His hand hugged Aira slowly so that Aira would not wake up because of her actions.

***

The days of the Affan family run quietly without any further interference from the Sintya allies.

Every morning they do a new routine that is a walk around the residential complex. Although not too long but enough to make both sweat. Moreover, Aira, her growing stomach makes her tired quickly.

"Tomorrow no further, Mas," said Aira after they got home.

"Sorry, that was too far, huh?" Affan took a bottle of mineral water that was always on the living room table and gave it to Aira first.

Aira nodded and drank the water Affan gave her.

"Or just take a walk in the park. I'm afraid you'll feel tired when I'm not home. Said the doctor at your gestational age who is now very prone to early contractions. May our child be born normal in time." Affan looked very worried.

"Yes, Mas. The estimated time of birth is still two months away. I can't wait to see our son." Aira smiled as she rubbed her distended stomach.

The same happiness is felt by Affan. Amongst her anxiety, she was looking forward to the presence of her son. Every moment he prayed for the safety of Aira and her son.

"Yes, already. You rest here. I'll go take a shower and get ready" Affan said, glancing at the wall clock.

"Follow!" exclaim Aira spoiled.

Feeling anxious with his wife, Affan immediately carried her and took her to the room. Despite being heavily pregnant, Aira's body didn't swell up too much. Only his stomach was broken.

Arriving in the room, Affan lowered her down on the sofa. However, Aira threw a tantrum and did not want to let go of her hand. Affan lost his balance and fell on the sofa next to him.

"Son, your mama's naughty," Affan fought on Aira's distended stomach while kissing her.

"Finally I was in a hurry to take a shower. If the bath is so handsome, then mama is still a mess. So, mama's feeling jealous." Aira spoke mimicking the words of a child.

Affan felt very happy when he felt a movement inside Aira's stomach when he stuck his head there.

They laugh together and tease each other for up to a few minutes. Reluctance begins to crawl Affan's heart, wanting him to continue with Aira. However, his responsibilities were so great that he had to keep working to run his company.

Affan immediately took a shower after Aira let go and asked her to take a bath. He had indeed deliberately made aira feel satisfied to be with him. It does not matter if he comes to the office a little afternoon, happy wife who is pregnant is his own happiness for him.

As usual, Aira prepares clothes and some of Affan needs to go to the office. She always paid attention to her husband's appearance to make him look dignified. Aira has also memorized the favorite colors of Affan as well as small habits that people rarely know.

Time had already shown at seven to fifteen minutes in the morning when Affan finished preparing and went to the dining room. Faya and Sarah are almost done with breakfast. They have to come to school early in the morning so as not to support Affan who can leave at will.

"Good morning, Dad, Mama!" greet Faya when seeing the arrival of Affan and Aira.

"Good morning, dear," he answered.

Sarah looks hesitant to say hello to them she still feels awkward.

"Continue your breakfast. Later you can be late to school," said Affan.

"Well, yeah, it's almost seven." Faya put down her spoon so hard that it made a loud noise.

He then moved from his seat and approached Affan and Aira to say goodbye. Sarah followed what Faya did. However, he only greeted Aira because he knew Affan would definitely turn him down.

"Be careful, tomorrow you have to wake up early to have a quiet breakfast" Affan said.

"Yes, Dad. Assalamu'alaikum," continued Faya.

"Wa'alaikum salutations." Affan and Aira answered almost simultaneously.

Faya's college passes Sarah's school so they set off together. Despite having her own car, Faya rarely drives. He chose to be picked up by his driver. As is today.

Few people know if he is the son of someone. His appearance was very simple, even rarely wearing luxury items to school. He prefers to buy local products that are not inferior to international quality.

On campus Faya does not have many friends as she rarely hangs out with them. In addition to the activities required by the campus, she was never outdoors. He would rather stay at home than hang out or do things that are not clear.

Faya majored in business and management. After graduating from university he was asked to help his father manage the company.

After driving Sarah to her school, Faya's car through a crowded street is very jammed. It is certain that he will be late for the campus. However, Faya looks relaxed because the one teaching is a substitute lecturer.

Lecturers who used to teach at this hour are on leave to give birth. His successor was a young lecturer who was roughly three or four years younger than him. The female students often teased him because he had a handsome face.

Faya ran towards her classroom because she was about ten minutes late. Looks like good luck is a little on her side. The handsome lecturer had also just come and walked in front of the door when he arrived.

"Good morning, sir! Sorry, I'm late." Faya did not wait for his lecturer's answer and immediately went to his desk.

Too bad, Faya's desk is already occupied by someone else. Maybe they thought that Faya didn't go to college today. The only table left is the front desk.

Forced Faya to sit there and be in close proximity to Pak Rendi. Behind him his friends chattered at him for coming along with Mr. Rendi. They don't know if Faya came alone.

"Apaan, anyway, you guys. I'm not together, yes," said Faya.

"Thank God. I thought you were the same Mr. Rendi. There can be a lot of heartbreak and envy with you, Fay," said Rara, a friend who sat beside Faya without embarrassment even though Mr. Rendi could have heard his words.

"Ngaco, aja. Where can I date my dad." Faya insists that he has no relationship with Mr. Rendi.

Faya's words made Pak Rendi look at him with an elusive look. Previously Faya's seat which was slightly behind made him unable to see clearly his face. Mr. Rendi just realized there was a female student who looked calm and veiled.

'Kog, I just realized he's in this class. It was rare for me to see a female student who looked elegant and did not use excessive makeup. Ah, what am I talking about.' Mr. Rendi immediately turned and focused on the books before him.

This was his fourth meeting he taught in that class. Mr. Rendi then continued the material that had been taught before. Usually after an explanation, he would give a quiz.

"At the previous meeting, only about forty percent of the students who mastered the material just explained. I hope this day will increase. You guys should really understand what I explained to answer the quiz at the end of the lesson. Your answer determines how much you master the material" explained Mr. Rendi.

"Ready, sir," replied the student in the class in unison.

After saying that Mr. Rendi immediately started his lecture and wrote down the subject matter on the board. From the points of the material, Mr. Rendi explained to his students in detail. Some noted his explanation and others were fascinated with him who looked very handsome.

Most college students lose concentration and focus more on their handsome faces. His straightforward and clear style of speech makes the material conveyed easy to understand. Unfortunately, some people are too relaxed and do not take their explanations seriously.

Faya recorded Pak Rendi's explanation quickly. He chose to focus more on taking notes rather than looking at the young lecturer's face. Undeniably, he also secretly admired the good looks of his face.

At the previous meeting, Faya was able to answer about seventy percent of the quizzes given by Mr. Rendi. Today he hopes to answer more than that. To that end, Faya tried hard to remember while taking notes on the material described.

"This time I will give you more quizzes than before but the answer can be shorter. There are twenty-five questions you need to answer. Please come forward and help me share!" said Mr. Rendi to Faya.

Faya thinks that he is not what Mr. Rendi meant. He turned his head to the right and to the left but his friends instead looked at him strangely. Finally Faya ventured to ask Mr. Rendi.

"I, Sir?" he asked, pointing his hand at himself.

"Yes, you. Indeed I pointed at you," said Mr. Rendi with a slightly irritated face.

"Good, sir." Faya immediately got up from her seat and walked to the lecturer's desk to pick up questions.
