The black glass in Affan's car makes Sintya do not know if Affan and Aira are in the car. After the car stopped he walked to the window next to the steering wheel. His hand banged hard until it was heard by Affan and Aira.
"Mas" whispered Aira.
Affan looked at Aira while thinking. He gestured for Aira to calm down. They looked back at Sintya's panicked face.
"Sir, what should I do?" ask driver Affan with a frightened face.
"You open a little window and say you're in a hurry. I don't want to deal with that woman" Affan said.
She felt grateful that Sintya did not see her in her car. Dealing with Sintya will make it complicated. Moreover, they did not know what problem was entangling him.
"Well, sir," said Affan's driver.
Affan pulled a curtain that covered the front of his car with the back. He also asked Aira to close the curtain that was beside him. The dark glass of his car may be penetrated by the eye from a close distance.
Driver Affan opened a quarter of his window glass. After opening a little, Sintya again shouted. Affan and Aira could hear his voice clearly.
"Sir help me, sir. I need a ride. I'll pay whatever you ask. Please, yes, sir." Sintya pleaded with Affan's driver.
"I'm sorry, Non. I was in a hurry. My employer is waiting. You can ask others for help." After saying that Affan's driver again closed the windshield of his car.
Sintya was still screaming and pleading but Affan's driver did not press him. He could do nothing as Affan's car moved out of his presence. In the area it is very difficult to get a taxi.
Police sirens were heard in the distance. Panicked Sintya runs away and seeks shelter.
Not far from the place there is a fairly densely populated settlement. Although the place was still unfamiliar to him but Sintya tried to ask for help from the people who lived there.
To take the sympathy of the citizens he pretended that he was lost. He said that he had not lived in Jakarta for long and was confused. Seeing his pale face, the people in that place became pity.
Before the police combed the place, Sintya had managed to get a hiding place. A resident gave him a ride for the night. Sintya was able to be in that place while waiting for the opportunity to escape from there.
The police have been sniffing out his dark business for some time. They postponed the arrest until they obtained complete evidence. During a raid at a night entertainment venue, Sintya manages to escape from the chase.
The police did not think to pursue Sintya to the residential area. They think if Sintya went by taxi or public transport. Tonight Sintya can again be free from the pursuit.
Elsewhere, somewhere else,
"It looks like Sintya is in trouble, Mas" said Aira after feeling the car move slowly.
"Don't think too much, Aira! Let that be his business. We don't need to know or mix it up." Affan did not want Aira to continue discussing Sintya.
Affan is the one who can't lie. He was afraid that Aira would trap him with various questions that made him say all things about Sintya. Only Bimo knew all the plans he was working on.
'Forgive me, darling. I can't tell you about Sintya. It's too dangerous to tell you. With all my might I will take care of you and our children.' Affan looked at Aira feelingly.
The atmosphere still felt tense even though bad things had passed. Aira did not dare to ask much and chose to continue praying during her journey.
There were no significant obstacles on the way until they got home. When the car entered the yard, Faya was already seen waiting on the terrace table. He and Bi Sumi waited for their arrival and immediately greeted him.
"Assalamualaikum, Dad, Mama." Faya came to his father's car.
"Wa'alaikum greetings" Affan and Aira answered almost simultaneously.
Faya glanced at Aira's empty hand. Suddenly his heart was disappointed. However, Faya tried to understand.
Driver Affan came out the back and opened the back of his car. He came to them with a paper bag containing.
Faya sparkled happily when he saw the name of the cafe listed on the paper bag carried by Mr. Toni, their driver.
"I think mama forgot my order" Faya said with a smile on Aira.
"Where is possible, Faya. I didn't bring it, but your father and I prepared it well" Aira explained.
Faya vented her excitement by immediately hugging Aira.
Affan smiled at the behavior of the two women who were special to him. His heart warmed to see their closeness.
'How stupid would I be to hurt you with something I don't sometimes realize, Aira. I'm so grateful to have made a bet with you despite starting a marriage without love.' Affan monologues in the heart.
