20 Years Adrift
Chapter 60. Incitement

"What do you want to drink?" asked Faya after the two sat in the living room.

Faya did not bring Sintya into the living room because she did not know him well. His father always said that he had to be careful with people he just knew.

"Just cold drink, dear," replied Sintya with a busy hand wiping away the tears of her culture.

"Well, wait a minute." Faya moves in to ask her domestic assistant to make her a drink for Sintya.

Soon Faya returns and finds Sintya standing and touching the objects that interest her.

"So you've been on holiday abroad a lot?" sintya asked with sparkling eyes.

"Past, Aunt. Before I know what frugality means," honestly Faya.

Every year Faya asked her father to take her abroad. His association with his friends made him follow their lifestyle. However, after he studied religion he preferred to use his savings for charity work.

"Why don't you go abroad now? You're bored, aren't you?" guess Sintya.

Faya shakes.

"It's a pity that the money I make on vacation can be so useful to people in need."

Their conversation was interrupted when Netti came to bring drinks and snacks for Sintya.

'Affan's business continues to grow. I'm sure the treasure is very much. I have to find a way to stay here and seduce him. I think my beauty is still above his wife's. With a slight lure, he would definitely be tempted.'

Sintya enjoyed the drinks and snacks served to him. He forgot lunch because he was busy cleaning up his messy house.

The housekeeper who lives in her house does cook for her but she does not like Indonesian cuisine.

"You look skinny, Faya. Did your stepmom not take good care of you. Lagian Affan chooses a boy's wife, knowing he takes care of the family," Sintya's nagging begins to lead Faya to hate Aira.

"My mama's good, the cooking's good too, I'm glad you're married to Aira. Even if we are the same age but he can be relied on to take care of many things" Faya said.

Sintya's desire was mental because Faya really loved Aira and accepted her as a mother.

"Oh, huh? You don't talk like this out of fear of your father, do you?"

Faya smiled then shook her head inexhaustibly. Her aunt shouldn't have interfered in her family's troubles. He thinks it's over the limit.

"Already, Aunt. No need to lure me with your incitement. I accepted my father's marriage. Remember your position, Aunt. You are nothing to us and have no right to interfere in our family affairs."

"It turns out your mouth is spicy too, huh? Regret that I kindly want to take care of you if you're unhappy with your life."

"Aunty alone cannot make life happy, how can it possibly make me happy?" Faya hits the drums of war with the man who is trying to divide his family.

"You'll regret saying that, Faya. Your stepmother only wants your father's treasure. You'll lose everything later." Sintya still did not want to give up.

"Harta, position and everything we have is just a deposit, Auntie. By the power of God, everything can happen. We must be sincere to accept His terms." Faya tries to stay wise in the face of Sintya.

'This child, is the same as his religious father. I need a stock of patience to face this family. For today I think I'm enough. I'll be back here tomorrow.'

"I salute you, Faya. My nephew is an adult now. Don't take heart all aunt's sayings, yeah. Aunty just tested you."

Feeling unsuccessful with his incitement, Sintya pretended that what he said was just a trick to test Faya.

His fickle attitude made Faya feel strange. He wonders in his heart and judges if Sintya has a psychic disorder.

Sintya got up from his seat and prepared to go home.

"Thank you for coming, Auntie."

"Next time auntie will come visit you again. Aunty lives in Indonesia."

Faya did not answer Sintya's words. To be honest, he did not like his mother's cousin, even though he did not want to show it.

Sintya's car came out of Affan's yard and passed Affan's car on the road in front of their house.

Affan does not recognize his car and thinks it is Faya's friend's car.

"Who's car, man?" ask Aira. At first glance he looks at the driver and feels familiar.

"Maybe Faya's friend," Affan replied as he continued to concentrate on driving carefully into his yard.
