Chapter 32. The arrival of Affan

Faya, Aira, and Anggie sat in front of Miss Siska in the counseling room. They were silent with their heads down. Their courage evaporated, unlike when they were fighting with their mouths in class.

"What made you guys fight? You women should have a gentle and loving nature, not fight like a market thug." Ms. Siska's voice broke the silence in the room.

No one dared to raise their faces to answer Miss Siska's question.

"Faya, why did you slap Anggie?" ask Miss Siska.

They are unlikely to answer the collective question. Asking them one by one is the solution to this problem.

"I was forced to do it, Mom, because she had insulted my father" Faya said honestly.

Miss Siska looks at Anggie to find out the truth of Faya's words.

"Is that true, Anggie?" ask Miss Siska.

Anggie raised his face. He did not feel guilty for what he had done.

"I just warned him, Mom. Her father had made a mistake and I told her," Anggie explained as she glanced at Aira.

"Error? What mistake do you mean, Anggie?" Miss Siska looked at Anggie sharply.

Anggie pulled out his phone and showed the video he recorded to Ms. Siska. The video is nothing strange. The man who is suspected to be Faya's father was seen chatting and joking with Aira.

"What's so weird about this video, Anggie?" ask Ms. Siska for an explanation.

Prior to this incident, Anggie already had a personal grudge against Aira. He feels overwhelmed in everything by it. Her popularity as the smartest student has dimmed since Aira's move to the school.

"Don't you see their closeness, Mom? So far Aira is known as a woman who always takes care of herself, is it worth showing things like that in public?" Anggie looks so eager to take down Aira.

Miss Siska now turned to look at Aira. The person he was looking at looked sad. His body shook because he sobbed and cried.

Faya embraced Aira and calmed her down. What happened to his best friend was all beyond his will. No one wants a forced marriage like the one she is in.

'Maybe after this I will bear the shame and be shunned by everyone. The worst thing is maybe I'll be kicked out of school. Yes, Allah gives the servant patience. The National Examination is only three months away, should I give up the three years of learning that I have gone through.' Aira's mind raged.

Ms. Siska saw the closeness between Faya and Aira. She thinks that Faya's father is close to Aira because she is friendly with her daughter. Not a special closeness as alleged by Anggie.

"Anggie, you can't tell if Faya's dad is bad just based on this video. Maybe they're as close as a father and son." Ms. Siska is trying to mediate the matter.

Someone has secretly uploaded a video of the altercation between Faya and Anggie to social media. Affan who was meeting near the school immediately went to Faya's school to find out what really happened.

At this moment Affan and Bimo were already standing in front of the door of the counseling guidance room.

Ms. Siska walked up to the door when she heard it knock from outside. His face looked pale when he saw Affan coming. Between his reluctance and confusion, his heart wondered why old man Faya had suddenly appeared here.

"Wa'alaikum salam. Come on in, sir. We'll talk about it inside."

There were several teachers and students passing by in front of them. Ms. Siska did not want to invite people's attention by chatting outside her room.

The three of them entered the room and sat down on the chair taken by Ms. Siska. The existing sofa has been occupied by Faya, Aira and Anggie.

Anggie looks wrong. He did not expect that Affan would come to school. The situation will be difficult because recording video without permission is not allowed in the ITE law.

Ms. Siska explained the problem between her three female disciples to Affan and Bimo. He also showed video footage on Anggie's cell phone to the two of them.

Affan looked at Bimo as if asking for his opinion. After his marriage with Aira was revealed, Aira's situation at this school will be more difficult. However, Affan is also not a person who likes to lie despite being in a pinch.

'I can't lie to Miss Siska. It may be hard but honesty is best. I will think of a solution for Aira if she is no longer accepted into this school.' Affan muttered in his heart.

"I apologized for the commotion my son had caused. I also apologize for Aira's mistake for possibly breaking the rules at this school. I don't mean to hide a truth about our relationship. There was no mistake in the video from either me or Aira because we were a married couple legally in the eyes of law and religion" Affan explained.

Ms. Siska seemed shocked by Affan's reply. He did not expect that Faya's old man liked the young leaves. However, if you look at Affan's honest attitude and manners, Ms. Siska believes the man before her has a reason to marry her student.

Anggie looked at Aira in disbelief. Everything is beyond his shadow. He was increasingly convinced that the way to get rid of Aira would be easier.

"I can't decide this matter myself, sir. For how to proceed about the matter of Aira, I will talk about it with the teachers and principals. It was a pity if Aira dropped out of school while the national exam would be held any minute." Miss Siska could not decide this matter.

"Thank you for your attention, Mom. Looks like I'll switch Aira's education to home schooling only. After this incident, there will definitely be many people who bully him in this school. For Faya, I'll give her the option to stay here or go home schooling with Aira." Affan gave it to him

"I'm going to stay in school here, Dad. It doesn't matter if there are students mocking me, to me dad is the best man in the world." Faya doesn't want to move out of her current school.

"All right." Affan turned to look at Ms. Siska and looked down.

Affan stood up after saying the word farewell.

Miss Siska asks Anggie and Faya to apologize to each other and return to class. While Aira was allowed to take her bag in class with them.
