20 Years Adrift
Chapters 108. Prepare to Hospital

Time goes by so fast. Approaching Aira's birthday, Affan reduces outdoor activities in the office. He chose to have a meeting with a client at the company office.

Affan always advised Faya to immediately tell him if Aira was in pain or anything. He'll be home soon and take her to the hospital.

At home, Faya always accompanies Aira. In addition to the campus activities required, he did not want to come. It was better for her to accompany Aira who was preparing to give birth to her sister.

After Affan went to the office, Faya stoodby below to accompany Aira's activities. He knows very well how the nature of the mother and her best friend connected. Aira was very independent and did not like to trouble others, if she did not take the initiative to do something for her, she would definitely do everything herself.

"It must be heavy, yes, Ma, if you have a big pregnancy like this. Mama's road is slow." Faya helps Aira up the stairs after a walk in the back garden.

Aira shakes.

"No, kog. It's just hard to see the road and feet get tired easily. Maybe because it's happy so I don't feel like it's heavy." Aira never complained about anything during her pregnancy.

Actually Aira really wants to do a lot of things to fill her time so as not to be boring but Faya does not allow it. His excessive sense of regret made him constantly vigilant. He didn't want anything bad to happen to Aira.

Five days before the estimated day of birth, Aira was already feeling uneasy in her stomach. After Affan left, he went back to his room and rested.

"Ma, do you feel any symptoms of giving birth?" ask Faya.

Aira was silent for a moment. This was her first experience as a mother. Although the doctor had already explained many things to her, she did not know what she meant.

"The word doctor if you want to give birth is mules n frequent contractions. I don't know what kind of contraction it is" Aira said grimacingly.

Faya hastily picks up her phone and searches the internet for information about the characteristics of the woman about to give birth.

Every feature she reads on the internet, she asks Aira if she feels the same way or not. Almost all the questions were answered 'yes' by Aira.

"Ma, I need to call dad now. My mother is nearing the time of giving birth. We need to get to the hospital right away." Faya looks panicked.

"Birth, yes, birth, Faya but you don't have to panic. All the gear I've ready, kog. No need to panic that." Aira looked calm and tried to calm Faya down.

Faya nodded while trying to regulate her hunting breath. Aira was about to give birth but she was panicking.

Not wanting to worry about being alone, Faya picks up her phone and prepares to call her father.

"Stop, Mom. Mama sit down, let me call Bi Sumi. I'm gonna call you one more time." Faya spoke while sticking the phone on her cheek.

As he called, Affan's phone ringtone approached them. Faya and Aira looked at each other because both of them were very familiar with the ringtone.

"Dad."

"Mas Affan."

Faya and Aira are shocked when Affan suddenly stands before them. He should have just arrived at the office but was suddenly home.

"Sorry, I came home without telling you first. What's the matter you called me, honey?" ask Affan while staring at Faya.

"It looks like mom's giving birth, Dad. So, I called my dad to go home quickly" explained Faya.

"Pater's feeling is also not good and feels if your mother wants to give birth. After half the trip I asked Mr. Sapto to turn around and see Aira." Affan told me what he was going through.

"Thank God. I want to call Bi Sumi and the others first to bring your mama's things to the car, Dad," said Faya.

"Yes, honey."

Then, Affan walked up to Aira who was lying half-sitting on her bed.

"How are you feeling, honey? Does this hurt?" affan asked while holding Aira's hand and kissing her.

Aira shakes.

"Just start, Mom. The longer the more often," Aira replied with a smile.

"May you and our baby be healthy." Affan showed a sad face mixed with happiness.
