20 Years Adrift
Chapter 31. Turmoil

Affan put down his things and sat down in his great chair. The room was still quiet because Bimo had not come there yet. For a moment he stared at the envelopes before him before opening them.

'Who is the owner of this canned letter? If he's really my friend, why should he hide his identity. Astagfirullah, I can't su'udzon. Maybe he has a reason for this.'

Not wanting to play around with his thoughts any longer, Affan immediately opened the envelope.

"Bismillah."

A paper with an unsymmetrical tear was removed from the envelope. The paper is still folded. Affan opened it slowly and looked at the handwriting there.

The paper looks very old. However, his well-guarded existence made his writing still clearly visible.

God ...

Why do you give this feeling if I can't have the person I care about.

Loving Affan was the hardest torture in my heart where I had to keep succumbing to Kayra.

I believe that someday I will have a chance to earn my love.

Affan knows this writing very well. One hundred percent of this writing is Amanda's handwriting. It is thought that the paper is part of a diary.

There was a different writing behind the paper. Looks like handwriting in a different style there.

Be careful of the woman who owns this book. He's very cunning.

That short sentence made Affan think. Looks like he knows a lot about Amanda that he didn't know all along. Maybe Amanda wrote everything she did in a diary and that person holds Amanda's current diary.

The sound of footsteps could be heard approaching Affan's room. Not long after, the sound of the door being knocked from outside.

"Lake in!" exciting Affan.

"Assynolt, Boss." Bimo came with a stack of files in his hand.

He always takes important files from the secretary's desk before entering his room that merges with Affan's. Despite not saying it in person, Bimo knew that if Affan disliked Sarah, his secretary entered his room.

"Wa'alaikum salutations." Affan put back the letter he had read and kept it in the drawer.

"This job is full, Boss. Monday is the most annoying day in the world." Bimo complained about work earlier in the week.

"Break. After the weekend we must have a delayed harvest. Oh, yeah, is Amanda here yet?" ask Affan.

Bimo straightened his head and looked at Affan in surprise. It's not usually her boss's concerned about Amanda's presence.

"I haven't seen him. Maybe in a minute. Tumben Boss cares about him?" Bimo frowned in wonder.

"No .. nothing."

Affan grabbed a few important pieces before him and started working.

At school, though,

Anggie walked up to Aira's desk with his sly smile. The owner of the table had not yet entered the classroom, still on his way there.

Aira and Faya walked over while chatting. They're so engrossed that they don't realize that Anggie's at their desk.

Anggie got up from her seat and pulled Faya's hand away from Aira.

Faya doesn't understand the meaning of Anggie's words. His hand he forcibly removed from Anggi's grasp and then returned to Aira.

"You can't just talk, Anggie. Aira is my best friend, I know her more than anyone" Faya replied.

Anggie smiled mockingly. His gaze swept over Aira's body from head to toe.

"Sok alim's. It turns out that a body wrapped in syar'i clothes does not guarantee a person behaves well. Your ugly face is just a mask to cover your sins." Anggie grew bolder and pointed at Aira's face.

Aira speaks a thousand languages. Eventually this very painful thing happened too. He did not expect his departure with Affan the other day would result in this fatal.

Faya grabbed Aira's shoulder and wrapped her hand around her shoulder. He gently rubbed her to give her support.

"Stop your bullshit, Anggie. Don't just talk. Aira is not that kind of person." Faya was furious and returned Anggie's gaze boldly.

"I'm sure after seeing this you'll trust me and justify all my words." Anggie pulled out his phone and showed Faya a video.

The video he showed was a recording of Aira and Affan while they were at the distro the other day.

Faya was not interested in seeing him for much longer. He returns Anggie's phone and takes Aira to his seat. Serading Anggie will make the secret of marriage between his father and Aira exposed, for that he chose silence.

"Basic cheesy! In order to get what he wants, he teases his best friend's father. There is no self-respect."

Faya moved back and stood in front of Anggie. Faya ignored Aira who was trying to prevent her from making a fuss there. If any teacher sees this problem then the business can be long.

"Shut up! Shut the fuck up, Anggie! I will not allow anyone to insult and humiliate my father and my best friend. What do you know about my family? I won't stay silent if you keep insulting them." Faya points at Anggie's face but Anggie immediately brushes Faya off.

Their classmates only became spectators without daring to take action. Secretly one of them went to report this quarrel to the counseling guidance teacher.

"What's this?" ask Steve who just came.

His face looked very confused when he saw Faya and Anggie throwing angry glares at each other.

"It's good you came, Steve. I want to show you that this woman you admire so much is nothing more than a flattering, striped-nosed man." Anggie grew bolder with his words.

"One more time you insult my father, I don't hesitate to beat you up!" yelled Faya annoyed.

"Your father is a young leaf-loving striped man. Wh why? Not accept?" Anggie pushes Faya's body rough.

Faya did not accept and slapped Anggie's cheek so hard that he grimaced in pain.

In order to get the attention of Steve and the people around him, Anggie uses his pain to gain their sympathy.

Anggie cries and hides on Steve's back, but Steve ignores him. Until now he had not known the root of the problem from their quarrel.

The atmosphere became increasingly tense when a counseling guidance teacher came to the classroom. None of the disciples dared to speak.

"Faya, Anggie, Aira, come with me to the office!" order Ms. Siska, the counseling guidance teacher who is picket today.

The three of them looked resigned, no one dared to argue. The three walked after Ms. Siska to the teacher's office counseling department.

Faya took Aira's hand. They both tried to calm down in the face of all the possibilities that might happen.
