20 Years Adrift

20 Years Adrift
Chapter 66. Assertively

"Stop Syntya! I won't let you into my room. You're just an outsider to me" said Affan, who stopped at his doorstep without looking at Sintya.

Sintya walks over to Affan's side and pulls his shoulder so that he faces him.

"Affan, give me a job or I'll yell that I'm your affair" Sintya threatened.

"Crazy! You're really crazy, Sintya. You think a job can be done playfully. It's not easy to adjust to office life. You better think of a venture that suits your field." Despite feeling very upset, Affan still tried to control himself.

Bimo who became an observer also felt annoyed at Sintya. The woman was really reckless even though there was herself who was a witness from the beginning of their meeting.

"I don't want to do business. I want to work here until I find a partner" Sintya lied.

He wanted to be close to Affan. The job he wanted was just an excuse.

"You're just looking for someone else to ask for a job." Affan stepped forward and pushed open the door of his room.

Sintya tried to chase after him but Bimo came forward to block him.

"Don't force me to call security, ma'am." Bimo stared at Sintya sharply.

Highlighting Bimo's sharp eyes made Sintya feel gutsy. Slowly he backed away and left in anger.

Bimo then catches up with Affan after Sintya leaves the place by continuing to grumble while walking.

"Based on a mad woman" murmured Bimo softly.

Affan was seen talking to security officers. Despite not hearing from the start but Bimo was able to capture the gist of their conversation.

After this, Sintya was not allowed to enter his company and ordered security officers to stop him.

"Bimo, would I be too cruel if I forbade Sintya from entering this company?" ask Affan.

"No, Boss. That was supposed to be. That woman looks very sly. He could have just made up his mind to get what he wanted."

"You're right, Bim. I'm afraid he's coming when you're not in the place." Affan shook his head given Sintya's coercive attitude.

"Assalamualaikum," Affan said when he arrived at the family room.

"Wa'alaikum salam" said Aira and Faya almost simultaneously.

The two women one by one greet Affan before Affan takes a bath and re-joins them.

"Don't tell Mas Affan about it, yeah, Fay. I'm afraid he'll think about this and get carried away to work."

"Mama take it easy. I won't say it."

Several times Aira repeated her request until Affan who suddenly came to hear it.

Affan pretended not to hear their conversation and took the two to the hospital.

In the car, the three of them were silent. Affan is increasingly suspicious about the big secret they are hiding.

"Since then you've been silent. Am I not supposed to know anything about you as long as I'm not with you?" affan asked while looking at Faya and Aira alternately.

Faya dared to look at her father. However, he again shrieked as he looked at Aira who gave him a look.

"The mother and daughter are so compact that they cover everything from me. After this I will ask Bi Sumi to tell me what happened." Affan did not want to be too dizzy thinking about it.

Aira was a little scared if Bi Sumi said about everything in detail. He was thinking of explaining everything now to Affan.

"There's nothing, Mom. It's just that the deceased's cousin Kayra came to the house."

Aira's explanation made Affan look at her with a difficult to interpret gaze.
