Tonight Faya is actually staying at the hospital. He sleeps in extra bed while Affan sleeps on the sofa. The VVIP classroom is quite comfortable and spacious making Faya not feel like she is sleeping in the hospital. It's just, Aira doesn't like if the room is too cold so she feels sultry when she wakes up.
The next day, Faya is in no hurry to go home because she is on college break. He would accompany Aira until she finished the examination and went home. Four days was too long for him.
"Where's the doctor, Ma?" ask Faya while looking at her watch.
Though it is still six in the morning, Faya can't wait to immediately know whether Aira can go home today or not. He thinks his current situation is fine. Most likely the doctor will allow him to go home.
"Patience, Honey. They must be ready. It's usually 07:00 in the morning when they're just driving around to check on a patient." Aira tried to calm Faya down.
"Well! Another hour, dong? Then I'm gonna go out for breakfast first, I'll." Faya used to eat breakfast so she felt hungry if she did not immediately fill her stomach even with a piece of bread.
"Please buy it for your father, yeah. You want to not, honey?" Affan offers Aira if she wants something to eat.
"Em, what, huh? I want one piece of bread for a friend to drink milk," said Aira as she fixed her bed.
His shoulder was still a little painful but this was not a big thing. A little pain does not prevent him from doing light activity. Too long silence will only make his body feel stiff.
"All right! Waita minute! I'm going to the hospital canteen." Faya moved and grabbed her bag.
While Faya goes to buy breakfast, Affan makes milk for Aira, coffee for her, and also for Faya. Occasionally Faya also drinks coffee although not every day.
"Faya's habit of going long. Fifteen minutes have not come yet" Affan said, sipping his coffee.
Aira shook her head at Affan's nagging.
"Father and son are both impatient. It's on foot, yes, it's a long time. Not to mention that in the cafeteria many buyers queue at least 10 minutes later Faya just arrived." Aira spoke according to her logic.
"True, yeah. Surely Faya's in line otherwise she'll be back." Affan sat back down and enjoyed his coffee.
At the table there were still some pastries but he did not want to eat them. Affan prefers sweet bread or plain bread with jam for breakfast. Since childhood, Faya also used to eat breakfast before activities or going to school.
"Do you want to drink your milk now?" ask Affan to Aira.
"No. I'll just wait for Faya. The milk must still be hot. Let it be a little cold I just drank," said Aira.
Affan nodded then opened his phone to check if any messages were coming in. He put it back down because no message came in for him. Usually at this hour, Bimo is still on his way to the office.
Not long after, Faya came with a bag of food that she bought from the canteen. Sweet bread with various flavors, banana bread, and also chicken porridge for Aira. He only bought one portion because he did not want to queue for too long.
"Mama, here's chicken porridge for you. You can choose how to eat." Faya approached Aira first before bringing the plastic bag in front of her father.
"Thank you, sweetheart. The porridge's just for me?" aira asked because she didn't see any other porridge there.
"Yes. Special for mama, it also has to queue for a long time otherwise I would have bought three." Faya reveals the reason.
Aira smile. He was flattered by what Faya did. Although it was only a small treatment but he felt very appreciated.
The three of them enjoyed breakfast together. In the midst of their togetherness, the food rations from the hospital for Aira came. Aira chooses to enjoy the chicken porridge bought by Faya and asks Affan and Faya to eat food from the hospital.
"It feels so bland, yeah, yeah. Mama prefers chicken porridge" joked Faya.
"The name is also food for the sick. If it's too spicy they'd rather not like it anymore. The most delicious cuisine is just the food in each house." Affan did not denounce the food even though he did not like it.
This morning Affan asked Bi Sumi to come to the hospital with the driver who picked them up. All of Affan and Aira's belongings were quite numerous. There's no way they're gonna take care of it alone.
Some cutlery also piled up. Often Affan forgets to bring it back when the driver delivers food to them.
Before the doctor who examined her came, Aira took a walk in the room to relax her stiff leg muscles. My hands and back are also not me for not doing any activity during these four days.
"Does my mom still have complaints?" faya asked as she grabbed Aira's arm and accompanied her on a walk in the room.
"No, Honey. I'm healthy now. Maybe I just need to be careful to move my right shoulder because sometimes it still hurts." Aira held her right shoulder and turned it slowly.
His grimacing face endured the pain as the wound on the inside had not healed completely. However, the wound on the outside has dried up and is no longer bandaged. The doctor only gives plaster and thin gauze.
"Don't move much first!" exclaim Affan who saw the change in expression of Aira's face.
"Yes, Ma. When you are at home, you should rest. Do not do light or heavy activities first. Be patient at least until it doesn't hurt anymore" added Faya.
Their chatter had to come to a halt as there was the sound of several people moving closer to it. Affan prepares to welcome the arrival of guests who visit there. Aira and Faya also tidied up her slightly messy clothes.
"Good morning" said the doctor and two assistants who came with him.
"Good morning," replied Affan, Faya and Aira simultaneously.
Aira looks fresher today because she took a shower after 3 days just wiping her body away. Without painkillers that cause drowsiness he also looks radiant. His eye bags are still a little visible.
"Well, it looks like Lady Aira has been very kind!" god doctor.
"That's right, Doc. I miss my house very much. It feels like it's been a long time since it's only been three days here." Aira smiled back at the joking doctor who examined her.
"Well, I won't be checking it out for long. I have been on duty for a few hours and I miss home a lot. It is inconceivable to have to stay for a few days. Plus the pain, again," added Dr. Aira.
"Overall you are doing well. You just need enough rest for recovery" the doctor told Aira.
"Thank you, Doc." Aira looks very happy.
After the doctor returned to his room, Affan immediately went out to take care of the administration and took the prescribed medication. After this they can go home.
On the way to the administration room, Affan meets his driver and Bi Sumi. They talked for a while and then parted ways to their respective destinations. Bi Sumi was also already looking forward to meeting Aira and seeing her condition.
Aira never looked down on her domestic assistant. He had even considered her like family. Once he saw the arrival of Bi Sumi, he immediately rushed to hug her.
The two looked like a mother and son who had not met for a long time. Seeing that Aira was fine, Bi Sumi felt calm. These few days he was always worried about Aira's state and thought nothing of it.
Bi Sumi then immediately did her job quickly. Faya and the driver who came with her packed up the belongings and took her to the car. Inside the room only Aira was alone.
When the driver picked up the last item, Aira came out and walked in slow steps. Just a few steps away he left his room, Affan came from the opposite direction. Her face looked unhappy to see Aira leaving alone.
"Stop Aira! You should be waiting for me to come, I'll take a wheelchair for you. Waita minute!" Affan hurriedly left Aira without waiting for an answer from her.
The nurse's room was not far from Aira's room. Affan immediately asked permission to bring a wheelchair. However, a senior nurse came and said that there must be a nurse who took her.
Not wanting to be there for too long, Affan agreed and asked the nurse to follow him immediately. They walked quickly to Aira who was sitting on a bench in front of the ICU room.
"Be careful, Aira!" affan exclaimed as he helped her get on the wheelchair.
Aira nodded and smiled at Affan and the nurse carrying the wheelchair. They walked across a fairly long corridor and turned several times. Aira's room on the second floor made them have to go down the steep stairs. Affan helps nurses to control the uncontrolled rate of wheelchairs on downhill roads.
As he was about to reach the exit, Faya walked towards them. Maybe he thought that Aira was still in his room.
"I was just about to pick up my mom" said Faya.
Affan looked at her with a slightly annoyed look. Since he went to take care of things, Aira almost went down by herself. Affan could not imagine Aira slipping or being pushed by the hospital visitor who passed by him.
"You should accompany your mother first. He almost walked down this steep staircase alone if only I didn't come back soon" Affan said in an annoyed tone.
Faya feels guilty. What his father said is true. He should have been more concerned with looking after Aira than helping pack things into the car.
"Sorry, Dad. I was wrong. Sorry, yes, Ma. I wasn't thinking about asking my mom to stay until I got back." Faya apologized immediately.
"It's okay, honey. I was just walking slowly while waiting for you guys, really." Aira mediates the father and son debate so as not to have long tail.
The atmosphere is melting again. Then they get ready to get in their cars. Affan, Faya and Aira left in Faya's car driven by Mr. Toni while Bi Sumi left with another driver along with the goods that filled the car.
Affan sat in front with the driver so that Faya and Aira could freely sit in the back. They chatted lightly during the trip. Not feeling like they have arrived home.
Affan frowned when he saw two people standing on the porch of his house and chatting together with Netti. From a distance Affan could not recognize them. He was just surprised that there were guests visiting so early to his house.
Because of being busy chatting Aira and Faya did not see the two guests. Even they only realized if they had reached home after the driver opened the door for them. Aira was a little surprised when she saw Affan walking hastily leaving her with Faya.
"Why father, Fay?" asked Aira in surprise.
"Don't be surprised, sometimes your husband likes to be weird" Faya replied.
"Masa, anyway? It's not usually your father. Maybe you are in a hurry to go to the bathroom," said Aira did not want to think strangely.
"It can be."
The two of them walked towards the house carefully. Faya held her arm so that Aira would not walk as she pleased. Sometimes he can't wait to walk slowly because he wants to get there quickly.
When he reached the front page, Aira and Faya saw Affan chatting with someone. Apparently they misunderstood. Affan was in a hurry because he saw a guest coming.
Although she had not seen her face clearly but Aira was very familiar with the clothes worn by the male guest. The posture and appearance he saw from behind was no stranger to him. They are the Great and Reni.
'For what did Om the Great and Aunt Reni come here this early in the morning? Do they know if I'm sick and in the hospital? Maybe Brother Ali said I was sick.' Aira tried to think positively about the arrival of Agung and Reni.
The two stop his chat with Affan and look back when they see him coming with Faya. Aira did not see the sympathetic faces of the two guests. However, Aira kept trying to smile as she continued walking towards them.
Affan's face also looked cold to Agung and Reni. I don't know what they were talking about before Aira and Faya came there. It seemed like Aira's uncle and aunt were carrying less pleasant news.
'Patience, Aira, patience. You are pregnant. Don't get emotional even though your Om and Tantu are being annoying to you. Let's just say they're radio busted.' Aira muttered inwardly to calm herself down.
"Assalamualaikum, Um, Aunt. How are you?" aira asked kindly when they were already facing each other.
"Greetings" replied Reni.
"Wa'alaikum greetings," Agung's reply was a little more polite.
"Mas Affan, are they waiting for me to enter the house?" Aira spoke as if they were not being hit by tension even though she had actually seen it from the look on her third face.
